SeaBlue Restaurant & Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
The food was fantastic and the service was even better ! It is located in a strip mall but the restaurant is very upscale, as is the menu. The quality of the food and presentation is outstanding ! They have a full nice bar and one of the best wine selections that I have seen in the area. We are somewhat new to the area and have been to this restaurant twice in the past week....this is our new most favorite restaurant ! I highly recommend it...
Excellent food and service. Our only problem was asking for a table away from the draft was met with a quick no even tho better tables were available throughout our meal. Disappointing. Other than that, they were very helpful and accommodating. Pricey but well worth it!
Our first meal here, and we highly recommend this restaurant for the food. Hostess, waiter and owner/chef very attentive and knowledgeable. Excellent menu & wine list. Food prepared to accommodate my wife's many food allergies and she had no reactions following the meal. . Food excellently prepared and presented. We will be back.
Outstanding! Top 3 seafood restaurants in the nation and I've eaten at a bunch... top notch bourbon list also. Long drive for us but we will visit this place again, don't be fooled by the location in a strip mall, once you walk in the door it is a class 5 restaurant!
A hidden gem with impeccable service, superb cocktails & impressive food. We were met at the door by the owners who took our coats & visited briefly before showing us to our table. The waiter appeared promptly, explaining their menu & taking our orders for cocktails. Next came hot bread & dipping oil. The original art on the walls along with the quiet ambiance was appreciated for a special night.
We only get to the Myrtle Beach area a few times each year and SeaBlue has become our go-to restaurant when we are on the north end. We both had the grouper special and they were outstanding. The ham and cheese appetizer was also wonderful. We will be back when we are back in the area.
SeaBlue was the splurge during our recent Myrtle Beach vacation, and it was well worth it. We shared two appetizers, tagliatelle with rabbit sausage, and a pickled beet salad with goat cheese. Both were delicious. For the main course, I chose black grouper with haricot verts and duck-fat potatoes, and my dining companion had the duck breast with a duck sausage add-on, also with haricot verts and potatoes. Outstanding, truly beautifully prepared. There was no room for dessert. Eric, our server, took great care of us, and he paced the meal just right. Highly recommended!
We visited Sea Blue for the first time while on a recent vacation to Myrtle Beach. A co-worker had recommended that we eat there. Hillary greeted us and made us feel welcome and checked by our table later to see how we were doing. Our server, Patrick, made sure we were well taken care of. First, the warm fresh bread was scrumptious. The diver scallops were very delicious, they practically melted in your mouth, and the fresh fish of the day was very good also. My very favorite dish was the pumpkin cheesecake which was topped with caramel sauce and pralines--outstanding! It was a bit pricey but the portions were plentiful. We really enjoyed it.
Excellent menu the champagne simonent vin mousseux great choice with our seafood platters of lobster and grouper with fresh organic spinach salad fresh string beans creamy mashed potatoes. Waiter very professional and attentive checked with us periodically helped us with things we weren’t familiar with and talked about the house specialty steakhouse
Did the tasting menu ...fabulous ! My only disappointment was the steak dish. I was not a fan of the rub and sauce. I believe a good steak should be enjoyed without all the “extras”. Loved the fish plate! We had a really great time!
Prospective diners should be advised that SeaBlue is pricey but never has the adage, "You get what you pay for" been more true! This was probably one of the 10 best meals we've ever had (my wife says "top 3"). The deconstructed lobster thermidor (special the evening we visited for our 35th anniversary) was nothing short of heavenly. My filet mignon was cooked to perfection and the mushroom and black truffle risotto I had with it was a perfect pairing. Speaking of pairing, our server (Patrick) made spot-on wine recommendations which really enhanced the memorable flavors of both dishes. It's a 3.5 hour drive from our home but we consider ourselves lucky to be able to drive here for future birthdays and anniversaries. It's a splurge but one you will not forget!
Well my husband had the lamb and he said was one of the best piece of meat he ever had. My crab cake was just ok. The Asiago potatoes were delicious. Great wine and cocktails. Cheesecake for desert was really good as well as the service. Very nice place but a little high priced so be prepared. Atmosphere is nice for a date or special occasion. Not a large place but I heard they are expanding.
