   We are from Washington DC and have our share of good hometown restaurants. The Seabird was outstanding by any standard. The food was delicious and creative. The service was gracious and people were helpful. The menu has sophisticated nuances with local specialities and was beautifully plated. It you are a chai latte or espresso fan, Sarah who sources both, is passionate about them and it shows. It was a wonderful experience.

   I recently visited Seabird and was impressed with the ambience and vibes of the restaurant. The decor was beautiful and created a nice atmosphere for a date night. However, I found the prices to be quite high for what was offered. The smoker fried catfish was incredibly salty and had an overpowering smoky taste, almost like liquid smoke had been poured over it. The steak was good, but nothing exceptional. The oysters were fresh, but again, nothing special. The drinks were decent, but not worth the high price tag. Overall, I found Seabird to be overrated and not worth a second visit. While it was a fun date night, I would not recommend it to others.

   One of Wilmingtons best overall dining options. It is a tad pricey but excellent value for your experience. Fresh, balanced, and compelling offerings. Professional, yet warm and relational service. Definitely a jewel in the Cities culinary landscape.

    Went with a specific goal of having soft shell crabs! Fantastic by every measure. Wanted a little more food and was encouraged to try the small plate of spare ribs - even better than the crab! And such attentive service - I had mentioned a member of the party had celiac disease and the waiter came over to go thru the menu with that person. Such attention to detail at every turn.

    Celebrated Mothers Day with 5 adults and a 16 month old. Service was outstanding. Had raw oysters as well as baked oysters and ribs to share. All were very good. Enjoyed 5 different entrees, and I’ll speak to the swordfish schnitzel which I would highly recommend. Overall a good experience and would return.

    Our server Sean was excellent: knowledgeable, informative and attentive. All our dishes were superb -- but we thought the tuna tartare would have been better served on rice than a piece of toast, albeit sourdough toast.

    Memorable, delicious, creative meal! The service was phenomenal, the menu was interesting, and the meals were prepared to perfection. Crispy clam wraps, smoked yellowfin tuna tartine, smoked catfish and oyster pie -- amazing! And the Swordfish Schnitzel was to die for. Tried Seabird on the recommendation of a Wilmington local after visiting Wilmington for the afternoon (we were vacationing near Topsail Beach) and were floored. Three nights later, we drove 55 minutes back to have a second meal there and celebrated our anniversary. The drive was 100% worth it! Service was incredible -- nice, efficient, interesting, chatty, knowledgeable staff -- and the food was prepared with spices and combinations that we've never seen before, which made everything feel special (as well as delicious!). Highly, highly recommend!

    I am a regular to the downtown Wilmington restaurant scene. This is the best place downtown. Raw oysters and soft shell crab are excellent. Recommend reservations especially on the weekend.

    Excellent experience. We celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary and from the very entry into the restaurant the experience was lovely. Our wait staff was attentive and knowledgable but not intrusive; the food was unique in the best of ways; the champagne was a lovely compliment to the meal;. I recommend Seabird without hesitation or reservations (though reservations are encouraged!).

    The food is amazing! The Oysters were delicious and so fresh. I loved the Swordfish Schnitzel and my husband enjoyed the Cioppino. Our server was great and very helpful with explaining and recommending dishes. Highly recommend this restaurant.

    Great food, great service. Nice selection of oysters, raw and cooked, very delicious oyster and catfish pie appetizer. We had the swordfish “schnitzel” and the fried catfish on grits. For dessert, we shared an amazing rice pudding. Everything was thoughtfully and creatively prepared. Our server was very friendly and great with knowledgeable suggestions and recommendations. The manager came to check on us and spent 5 minutes chatting with us. Highly recommended.

    Service was outstanding! Server was knowledgeable about the menu. Food was very good well presented. A little on the expensive side but was very flavorful and delicious. We ordered the catfish and oyster pie which was great! A piece of bread would have been an added bonus to this app. Clam pasta was good, but not something I would order again. Breast of lamb also good. Definitely will eat there again and try other items on the menu.

    Beyond delicious!!! The ribs are outstanding. We had the cioppino and the smoked catfish as entrees. The portions are very substantial and could not be more delicious. Only disappointment was the silver lining cocktail. Not bad, just not my favorite. Difficult to have room for dessert, but tried the chocolate, toffee ice cream. It was unique and good, but a bit too sweet for my taste. Next time i will go back to ordering the olive oil cake; as it is superb. Best meal in Wilmington in our humble opinion!!!!!

    Server was a bit pushy plus askedcwe give the full order when the table next to us no such request. Consistency please Only food complaint the smoked catfish and oyster pie needs bread with it to get every drop. Outstanding dish (and sad I don't live in Wilmington)

    Seabird came highly recommended by friends. They joined us there for dinner on Sunday and it lived up to everything they promised us . Our server was extremely knowledgeable and made our dining experience such a pleasure. The chef created not food, but a masterpiece for us ! We tried things we have never had before . We will definitely go back and have already recommended it to several others .
