Wonderful ambiance and scenery. If you like good food and the sight of sand and waves crashing, then this restaurant is for you!
I celebrated my 1 year wedding anniversary at the restaurant and it was a perfect experience. Will be dining here regularly.
Food was excellent. Definitely good idea to get early reservations though, place was packed at 5:00pm. Hostess honored the reservation on the spot. I'll be back for sure!
49th wedding anniversary. All great except one REAL noisy table nearby. Glad the left early.
Despite having reservations for a graduation celebration we were not greeted warmly and placed at a table in the back of the restaurant.
The fresh steamed lobster was tough and lacked flavor. Overall very disappointing “special” celebration meal.
We were promptly seated and had a great view of the sea. The atmosphere was relaxing and the fish entrees (salmon and orange roughy) were excellent. If in doubt, get an early reservation, relax, and enjoy the dinner and ocean view.
I have been here a number of times and continue to love this restaurant. Love the spectacular view and wonderful layout, great service and food. Dinner at dusk is an incredible value.
The only negative I can think of is the poor acoustics in some but not all parts of the restaurant. I was here with 8 people on a crowded night with no problem at all hearing them. But the other day I was here with 3 others when the restaurant was not full and could hardly hear them.
I use to live in Florida and loved the Sea Watch. It was quite disappointing to find the seafood average. One shrimp tasted freezer burn, the scallops were soaking in something and did not have the right texture.
Sauces are ok. Nothing spectacular. For the price I expected a whole lot more. Sorry to see it changed.
Our waitress was Arooshe and she was the best we have ever had at Sea Watch! I had preordered 2 - 3 lb lobsters and she was so adorable about their size. She was patient, attentive, courteous, and happy to be doing her job.
Arooshe, Thank you for making my husbands birthday dinner great!
We love Sea Watch. The atmosphere is lovely, and the food is always yummy. Our service was outstanding. We celebrated our anniversary that evening and the staff made us feel very welcomed and special.
Excellent service and delicious food, as always!
I took a friend there for her birthday. She had crab cake and Salad which . I had the broiled lobster. It was cool and dry and stuck to the shell
Making it hard to get the meat out. I was not happy with it.
My husband and I have early dinner. We tried Dinner the Dusk. Basically it’s 3 course of dinner. Soup or salad, main course and dessert. I have to say their seafood is really fresh. My husband had boiled combination and I had steamed lobster. It’s perfect portion. We will definitely give another visit.
Disappointed. It was a Sunday night and it was very average. The food was not outstanding. It just felt like something was missing
Our second time visiting. Great service! Great food
Food and Service was excellent. Was seated immediately with my reservation time.
The Sea Watch is a very special restaurant.
It is located in a beautiful spot on the ocean in Lauderdale by the Sea. The food is wonderful, service excellent and atmosphere perfect. My only negative is that the food is over-priced. I think a mahi fish sandwich with coleslaw for lunch at $19 is too much to pay. Hence, I only go there on very special occasions ☹️
Always a wonderful experience dining at Sea Watch. Staff is very attentive and food always delicious!
This restaurant has always been my favorite. I moved from Florida in 2002. Was back for a visit and had to go to Seawatch for dinner. It was just as perfect. Server was awesome.
I was a little disappointed, the restaurant tables were so close to each other that my wife and I couldn't have a conversation without talking over the people on the right and left of us. Food was average, the view was nice. We used to eat here years ago and loved it, now we will never go back again.
The summer early bird specials make it available to all. It is always a great dining experience.
Service, quality and value with a beautiful view . Great combination!.
"private room" was very noisy. Wife's lobster was tough. View & service was great
Birthday dinner for my boyfriend. He had not been there and we had a wonderful evening.
My husband and I went on the recommendation of a friend. We did the Dinner at Dusk menu and it was delicious! I had the filet mignon and my husband had the broiled combo. We each had the New England clam chowder and key lime pie. The service was great and Heather was an excellent server. The restaurant had beautiful views and even though they were busy, complimentary valet parking was quick. We would definitely go back again!
We had our anniversary dinner and found the place to be what we hoped for with the food, service and ease of getting a reservation. Also, the app was great in allowing us to change the time several times due to unforeseen delays.
The crab melt was the best I ever had. Beautiful place.
We celebrated August birthdays at Sea Watch. Three people in the party ordered from the "Sunset" menu. It is available from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, costs $23.95 per person, and includes a soup or salad to start, entree, and dessert. One person had the 1 1/4 pound lobster dinner, the other two had the catch of the day dinner (grouper plus two stuffed shrimp) ! A terrific value ... and delicious!! Situated directly ocean front, the ambiance is always lovely. We plan to return in the near future.
For the most part I'm a fussy eater I couldn't find anything to complain about I have to give this dining experience tens across-the-board
Excellent birthday celebration for two friends, excellent food and service!
First off, we are all so happy that Sea Watch is still here in the miles of condos on the beach. You really can't beat the view of the ocean, sand dunes and sea grass. We celebrated a birthday and took the earlier reservation at 5:15pm on a Sunday which turned out to have an incredible early bird special. The steamed lobster was fresh and cooked perfect, and a great deal. The clam chowder wasn't that tasty, but the lobster bisque was delicious. For appetizers, we had the fried calamari and a clam appetizer, which were both very good. Last, the key lime pie was delicious. Overall, great food, incredible atmosphere at great value!
It was my daughter's 18th birthday and I requested online and over the phone a table in the main dining room with a nice view of the ocean. My daughter requested Sea Watch for dinner specifically because she wanted to look out over the ocean. We were put in the "extension" room on the North side of the restaurant with no view (windows in this room were completely fogged up) and a cold atmosphere. You feel like a second class citizen in this room. Then we had to ask for bread, which was cold and the butter was hard. The food was basic, nothing special. I ordered the crab tostadas and they were pretty tasteless. The calamari was rubbery and cold. So I think its safe to say that my daughter's 18th birthday celebration was less than special and I was heartbroken. I won't be back.
Been going for over 30 years. Considered a northeastern Broward County icon. Great for special occasions.
The food is always fresh and tasty. The staff is top notch with a high caring factor. I would recommend this place to anyone
It’s always consistently excellent. The conch chowder is an excellent start, and only second to the lobster bisque. The Sea Watch Field of Greens is one of the tastiest, dinner size salads I have ever had. The swordfish is my favorite go-to dish. It’s moist, tender, and doesn’t have that “fishy taste” I suspect is the result of some restaurants using less than freshest fish. The Sea Watch, I’m sure, goes through so much swordfish that it must be a challenge for them to keep it in stock. A fellow diner, who was also a fisherman, commented on their excellent preparation of that fish. My wife always had lobster tails until I introduced her to the swordfish. Now, she alternates between the two every other time. It’s that good! I can’t stress that too much. The same goes for the conch chowder. Their key lime pie is a great finish and as good or better than an iconic, “oldest restaurant”, touting the best in South Florida. Service is always excellent and professional. The management won’t hesitate to go out of their way to accommodate their guests.
Great. Go on the patio.
Didn’t get my points credited to my account. Still have not received my points from August 2, 2019 - August 17, 2019. Very disappointed.
Great place for a family dinner. Every entree we ordered was superb! The atmosphere was an upscale but very comfortable environment - and the views of the ocean and the grounds were all beautiful!
