Sea Watch Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
This was a really good restaurant. We went with my girlfriend's grandmother and my girlfriend's children for a Saturday lunch. The valet staff was excellent and assisted gracefully with our one wheelchair. We were seated without difficulty near a window overlooking the path to the beach. Service was a bit slow and we did wait a while for our food, but the food was excellent - main courses and dessert. The server and the kitchen were both accommodating to our varied dietary needs. I'd highly recommend Seawatch, but I would caution people not to be in a hurry when they get there.
I always enjoy the Sea Watch for lunch or dinner . 5 stars for service , food and view . It's the PERFECT location for a celebration , to bring out of town guests or that everyday dining . I have recommended the Sea Watch often and they too have enjoyed it . HAPPY DINING !!
Have been to Sea Watch many times and always had a great experience. Not much his time. My wife I ordered a top sirloin medium rare and I ordered the paella. My wife’s dinner came or first! She cut into her sirloin and it was purple inside! Waitress took a while to bring my dish. My wife explained to waitress that her sirloin was not cooked. Instead of just taking it back, waitress let’s my wife know that “this is how they cook medium rare here!” My wife requested her to take it back and instead of taking my wife’s plate, she extends a small dish to my wife to place the sirloin on! Now I have my paella and my wife is waiting for her sirloin. We finally speak with a manager and he rectified the situation by taking the sirloin off the bill, but it was returned over cooked.
While we absolutely love the views and old school ambiance the quality of our entrees left something to be desired - we ordered two appetizers 1) fried calamari was overcooked 2) smoked salmon tartine was enjoyable. For the main courses we ordered Fried Shrimp which was bland and tasteless - we were told they were colossal in size (5) but were not big at all and Triggerfish which was ok but not outstanding. The cocktails were the most enjoyable and well made.
I had anticipated going to this restaurant ever since seeing it profiled on Michelle Bernstein's show, "Check Please." All three of her guests rated "Sea Watch" very positively and I would agree the food, service and ambiance are excellent although the portions seem a bit on the small side. Unfortunately, as it was dinner time, we could not appreciate the ocean views which are said to be spectacular. Parking on a Thursday evening was no problem.
The ambiance and meal make this place worth revisiting. We had the Mahi-mahi blackened and it was delicious. Portion size is average but filling and Key Lime pie was outstanding. The waitress was not the most accommodating and friendly, but I would definitely come back to this restaurant.
My wife and I shared Sea Watch’s delicious calamari. My wife enjoyed a wedge salad. I enjoyed a Caesar salad with anchovies. We shared an order of clams which were great and the Triggerfish which was delicious. We enjoyed a bottle of a reasonably priced Zinfandel. We enjoyed Sea Watch so Friday night that we’re having dinner at Sea Watch tonight.
Sea Watch is a great place for special occasions and great dining. the service is excellent. Jake was our waiter and he was always on top of everything. Even brought over to the table a piece of signature keylime pie for our friend's birthday
Being oceanside, makes it such great dining experience. Great place to take visitors!
The only thing I would suggest is that they have vegan options
