The food is excellent! The view of the ocean is very relaxing! We have been eating at this restaurant for over twenty years and it just keeps getter better.
Spent a wonderful dinner here with my wife last Saturday. Everything we ate was delicious. The Key Lime pie and crab cakes were exceptional. The staff was attentive, patient, and very helpful. We're not wine drinkers but since it was a special occasion my wife insisted on ordering wine. Our waiter helped us pick one we liked even though we had no idea what we were doing. The only negatives were having to wait 20 minutes for our table even though we had a reservation, and the ocean view tables next to the windows were close enough that you could hear the party next to you talking. But both are very minor issues. Would definitely come again.
Must have been an off day for the Seawatch. Been many times. Food was not up to usual standard. Shrimp cocktail was size of popcorn shrimp. Staff seemed tired and unenthused. Hope our next visit will be back up to par.
When the reservation was made I was asked if it was a special occasion and I indicated “Birthday”.
The food was good, but not particularly big portions. The service was also good and our waiter was very attentive. What I do not understand was why they did nothing at all with the information they requested and we provided, that a member of our party was celebrting a birthday. We all ordered desert and the waiter did not even stick a litle candle in it- nothing. I did not expect anything for free but if you are not going to bring out a piece of key lime pie with a candle, at least ask who was celebrating a birthday (it was written on our check, big enough for me to see and the birthday person was wearing a costume necklace that read “Happy Birthday”) and put a candle in the desert they ordered! It was a nice meal but not quite what I had envisioned.
Had dinner with another couple. Dine here often. Great happy hour in upstairs bar. Ordered all different meals and we all loved our meals. Jeanette, one of the managers, is awesome. We had a wonderful ocean view table. A must go to in Lauderdale By The Sea.
Eccellent. Noise high due to boisterous bday party.
Everything was very nice. A very enjoyable dinner experience.
It was our third time and not the last, as usual the food and service was excellent and we had a fantastic time. We'll be back again for a wonderful culinary experience.
It was a great visit to a friendly and notable restaurant. It's been a while since our last visit, but it was as good as we remember. There were six in our party. My wife and I have been here before. It was the first visit for the other four. We had a great time and the "newbies" were very pleased. They will also return.
A wonderful time outside with really great service and a nice lunch selection.
My fiance birthday. First time going there and I will definitely return again.
The view is beautiful. However, each time we come the lobster roll gets smaller at $19. The fish and chips and the Cobb salad were much better choices. We shared a delicious piece of key lime pie and our waitress was very good.
Our waitress never told us the specials. We did not know there were specials until we heard another waitress telling the table next to us the specials. If we would have been told, we would have ordered the special.
The view of the ocean was perfect while enjoying our dinner.
Service was slower than usual ...
Sat in side room. Age?
The food and service was amazing ! Beautiful view for dinner !
We were on our way down to the Florida Keys and wanted to have a great Lunch. We have dined here every time we are in the area. I actually ate here 40 years ago and it's my ICON! I never miss a chance to dine the Sea Watch when I'm in town.
I absolutely love this place and it seems to get better every time I visit!
As alwas the Sea Watch didn’t disappoint. We were able to order the Beet salad (not normally offered at lunch) as a large plate. Followed it with a perfectly cooked wedge of salmon, the scallops and the triggerfish schnitzel. All 3 entrees were deemed excellent. An espresso and a shared cremé brûlée, finished a perfect lunch.
I have been going to sea watch over 25 years it has always been great relaxing and enjoyable the food is always delicious.
Sea Watch consistently has delicious food and great service. We were there to celebrate a friend’s birthday and had a great table overlooking sand dunes and the ocean. Everyone had something different, and each of us enjoyed the food. We also had outstanding service. Thank you, Sea Watch!
I ordered a grouper which was tasteless and probably was previously frozen and cooked in a microwawe ,because it was dried and hard.My husband had a mahi mahi that he didn't like for the same reason;only my grand daughter enjoy her clams and mussels. For our 50th anniversary ,we were very disappointed. We could expect more for the price...we will never come back there
This was my first time at Sea Watch and I would definitely return.
Great view. Awesome food. Great ambiance.
Good ambiance good service good food ! will go back and recommended to other people already
Took my aunt and uncle for thier 32nd Anniversary and as always the restaurant was amazing. The food was delish, there is absolutely no compliments when I go to Seawatch
Restaurant with great view of the water. The ambiance is very nice and the restaurant is well cared for. Dinner at Dusk menu had several selections to choose from. The seafood tower appetizer (which was more of a platter) left much to be desired and a little overpriced for the amount of seafood you receive. The happy hour at the bar was great. Our server Heather was great and very attentive. Best server I had on my entire Florida trip.
We try to make it here each time we visit the area. It’s always excellent food and beautiful setting. Definitely NOT a tourist trap. In the summer they off excellent complete meals for $21.95 and it is more than enough food. Fresh grouper, mahi and lobster offered along with several other items. You really need reservations though to ensure you get a table.
We had a great meal and service
We love Sea Waych for all of our special occasions!
Chef Shuford rocks it out of the park, great ambience overlooking the ocean, ample parking, and a wide variety of dishes.
A Florida icon! Sea Watch on the Ocean is my favorite early afternoon/ evening spot as the view of the ocean and ocean breeze are awesome. My blackened Mahi Mahi was perfectly cooked, although the roast carrots were overdone but edible. The salad was fresh and the Key Lime pie was delicious. My sisters and I were celebrating the engagement of our youngest sister. We loved the casual but elegant atmosphere. Our server was very attentive without hovering. The Dinner at Dusk menu from 5-6 included a wide variety of options for a great price.
Our first time there and we enjoyed the visit with family. However, the room where we were seated in order to get an ocean view had high ceilings with all hard surfaces and the noise made it difficult to hear one another. There was a wedding happening at the same time which made the sound even worse. The tables with the best views are actually located on a covered porch which is entirely too hot this time of year. The food was good and our server was terrific and clearly knew the menu well. Overall, we had a good time and will return when the weather cools down.
We went for Sunday Brunch to celebrate our friend's new house purchase. There was a wedding in progress outside on the grounds, which was quite entertaining. 2 of us ordered the orange roughy with a dill champagne sauce. Really delicious. We were both so glad to have ordered it. Our spouses both ordered eggs benedict, which they thoroughly enjoyed. The fresh squeezed grapefruit and vodka was refreshing, as well as the fresh squeezed Orange juice. I went out and bought fresh grapefruits today, to try to replicate!!! This restaurant is an icon for South Florida, and I was so happy to have enjoyed it again. The bill was not outrageous and the server was excellent.
Outstanding in every shape and form. From Walking in to Walking out ... just perfect ! We'll do it again... not soon enough !
We were disappointed with lunch. Had a small piece of fish and fries. Small portions, overpriced, views weren't that great either. Ate at other Ft. lauderdale restaurants which were much better. Coconuts for example, awesome food.
I took my family from South Carolina to dinner as they had never been to the Seawatch. We had a fabulous meal, great service, and in fact, ran into friends we hadn't seen in quite awhile! It was everything that I remember from being there years ago and will definitely be back as soon as I can. We were also able to walk the beach after dinner in a great deal of privacy and calm which only enhanced the experience for us all. 5 stars for The Seawatch on the Ocean!!!!!
We visit this restaurant quarterly. My wife loves their Prime Rib. I always check the menu before we go,sure enough prime Ron is lister on the menu on the website. We go and get seated and are presented with the menu. No prime rib listed. This was our wedding anniversary. I mentioned that prime rib is listed on the menu on the website and we have had it in the past. I was politely told that discontinued the prime rib. My wife ordered the. Sliced prime steak and was very disappointed. Small serving size and no comparison to the prime rib. Our server suggested this as a good option. Will not go back despite the great view. Not happy how the handle my questions and disappointed in their suggestion. Thanks for ruining our anniversary dinner.
The view is amazing, but we were disappointed with the food. The conch in the conch chowder was tough. The clam chowder was ok. We both ordered the lobster and it was over cooked so the lobster tail was rubbery which was disappointing. However, the key lime pie was excellent.
Everything was fabulous! Not loud so we could hold conversations without feeling like you are yelling! Cozy and the food was amazing!
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere! Great happy hour
