Food was good — but not so remarkable that we would recall after a week. Service was so-so especially considering the price point. Eclectic fusion menu.
One complaint: tuna tartar on a large scoop of rice. Really? Small quantity of tuna and ridiculously huge portion of rice. Utter bummer.
Our server was BEYOND amazing. She really went above and beyond to make sure my mom's birthday was special. I cannot recall her name, but she had glasses and long hair. And also has a talent in making non alcoholic beverages that arent on the menu to appease my mom's random cravings. She was also attentive, polite and made sure she communicated with us throughout the evening about our courses. Thank you for a one-of-a-kind experience.
The hostess, on the other hand, clearly was upset about something and we could feel it from the moment we walked in and saw her cold demeanor.
Dropped in for a quick bite. I definitely loved the Hong Kong Clay Pot, it just hit the spot. I added an extra egg to mine. I also had Mussels for an appetizer and the sauce it was in was delicious. I ended up ordering the Brule Banana Split which was delicious. Whatever you decide to try, you can't go wrong. Their Sea Bass dish is also one of my favorites.
Yikes. Terrible night. Calamari included 10 pieces of squid dipped in mounds of fried tempura. Clay hot pot was terrible. Some kind of strange cinnamon spice and overly salty shrimp. Waitress understood how bad our experience was (and seemed to know exactly what we were talking about). When issue was raised with manager, manager was very apologetic and said she would comp our meal, but I haven't seen any credit. Just can't imagine going back sadly.
The food was excellent. We had the spicy tuna tartare and it was very good!!!! We also had a couple of the sushi rolls and the seared scallops for an entree and it too was excellent. The only issue we had was service when we initially arrived.
We went for New Year’s Eve. The owner came to our table to make sure everything was good. The food was delicious. We had the duck dumplings and Spicy Tuna tartare appetizers. They were excellent
our main course arrived while we were still enjoying our starter. The salmon and scallops were "dried out" perhaps by being kept under a warming lamp or such! Being a special occasion with my wife I was terribly disappointed.
Being a very busy Saturday night the serving staff seemed overwhelmed and inadequately trained.
Sea Pearl makes very good dining but the entrees are so expensive other than the ramen bowl type dishes. We were there with quite wealthy friends and even they blanched at the prices - $37 for sea bass?
Sadly we can't make this our regular because of the cost, otherwise we'd eat there often.
As always, enjoy dinner at Sea Pearl. The service is friendly and helpful. A favorite drink, the ginger smash and any seafood.
Delicious meal with superb service. Our waiter was extremely attentive
