Great food, wonderful service in a delightful venue
Very good service and tasty food for Thanksgiving Day. The staff was very considerate of my elderly mother. Definitely recommend.
Thanksgiving Buffet was top notch! Included oysters on the half shell ... all you can eat!
Outstanding holiday buffet
The sushi was the worse I’ve ever had. The rice was practically wall paper paste, the actual fish smelled bad. We ate about 20% of the meal and left. Never again
Always a great experience, the food, service, ambiance. I had the chance to let the owner know that my boyfriend and I miss the fried oysters they had not long ago on their menu, one of the best we’ve had. We were very pleased with her response.
We started with excellent and nuanced cocktails while we looked at the menu and made our choices. Knowing little about Sushi and seafood at this level, we had LOTS of questions for the waitress. She was wonderful answering each with as much detail as we needed. While we waited for our food (which didn't take long) we enjoyed our drinks and the atmosphere. The restaurant is very pretty and quiet especially given the number of full tables. When the food arrived, it did not disappoint. It was excellent! Flavors were as expected given the descriptions. The HELL Signature Roll, had the right amount of heat in the jalapenos and habaneros to bring out the taste of the fish but not so much as to overwhelm. Each of the 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We will definitely return, soon!
Having dined at Sea Pearl many times, this wasn't the best of our experiences. My sushi was lackluster and the kids macaroni and cheese was really cheese soup with pasta. The service was okay until the waiter accidentally spilled ketchup all over my husband - jeans and sweater - and was very apologetic but could have offered some seltzer or something to help clean. I welcome seasonal and updated menus, but I didn't see anything really inspired. The table next to us got the lobster pot pie and it looked divine. If I go again, I will try that but the price tag made me think twice this time.
There was a party so that is why it was louder
Love to dine at Sea Pearl. Service always impeccable and food the same - and I have been a very long time customer when no other restaurants were in mosaic. Brought my friend from work for special celebration and she loved it. Had a drink at the bar before dinner too and the bartenders were outstanding! Personable, friendly and raved about the happy hour (great deal!!!) and restaurant and Sunday brunch. Highly recommend this gem in no va.
Food was great but the kitchen kept messing up the order. Server kept on top of things and everything worked out in the end. We will be back.
Enjoyed our lunch and conversation without music competing. Very good food and attentive wait staff!
Excellent all around, as always! Sea Pearl always delights and never disappoints!
Always reliable, it never suprises. New menu since we last visited, fewer entrees, more sucee. Everyone was pleased although a large party including small children raised the noise level higher than we normally encounter.
Not a massive number of items but the items they do offer were all good. Seafood items were very fresh especially.
At 8:00 PM the restaurant was almost empty except for one long table of people shouting to each other.
Our waiter was extremely kind and helpful to me regarding which dishes were or could be made gluten-free. I notified the restaurant at the time I made the reservation about celiac disease. I ordered two sushi rolls which should have been safe and the waiter brought wheat-free tamari instead of soy sauce. All good until my throat became swollen with the first bite of sushi. I knew right away that it was full of panko crumbs and was not what I'd asked for. Our waiter confirmed the addition of panko crumbs--not used a rule with this sushi roll-and he was appropriately sorry about the accident, though it really was not his fault. Bottom line: mediocre but expensive food, sloppy communication between staff members.
That was an absolutely amazing dinner, from start to finish, the service, our meals, the atmosphere everything was just perfect! Definitely made a lasting impression and my husband and I will visit often. Well done!
Interior is slightly dated in style and restaurant seemed a little understaffed as it took a few minutes for a host to greet us when we got there. However, once seated our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the food. Cocktails were very good (Shizo Julep and G12), oysters and sushi were good, Chilean Sea Bass was great but a bit overpriced ($37). Given the ease of making a prime time dinner reservation on a Friday night, good service, and quality food, this is recommended for an upgraded seafood dinner on a regular basis.
Awesome dining experience. Our waitress Gillian was amazing and we would totally come back.
Very good food in a lovely setting. Excellent service with a very knowledgeable and personable server. We hoped for more seafood selections, not realizing it was mostly sushi type options, but we had not researched the menu before hand. Would eat there again.
Always a great choice when I visit the area! Service and food are fantastic! Park in the garage connected to the restaurant.
Firecracker and Duck Pot Stickers are highly recommended appetizers as are Chilean Sea Bass and Icelandic Cod for entrees. Try sharing the refreshing Black Rice dessert.
Per usual the food was excellent. Sea Bass is the best around and the mussels appetizer was great. Great restaurant.
The Sea Bass was amazing -- cooked to perfection with a wonderful glaze. This is one of many consistent items on the menu.
I thought the cod entree was excellent—my girlfriend, who claims she doesn’t like cod, kept stealing little bites of it—although rather small in size. Overall, I would like a seafood restaurant with more Mediterranean options, rather than Asian. Coffee just so-so; not a really aromatic espresso.
Waitress extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
I had sashimi and a romaine salad. My sister had cod. The sashimi and cod were both excellent. The romaine salad was drowned in dressing. It might have been excellent if I’d asked for light dressing. Server was pleasant and attentive. I’ll go back.
I have been to this restaurant numerous times. I have never had a bad meal. The ambiance is nice and parking in the garage below is easy.
We have eaten at Sea Pearl before, usually with good results, but this time? Not really. We had to use Deck A parking, which is a very long walk indeed for a disabled person. The waitress was rushing, and spoke too fast to process. The clam pasta had almost no clams
, while being otherwise tasty. The cod was a bit overdone, and otherwise unmemorable. We suggest staying with the cold side of the menu, since that has always proved to be good.
Not Great for Sunday Brunch - The pancakes were greasy. The friend potatoes tasted odd. The options for the chocolate fountain were too limited and inappropriate (melon and chocolate are just not good partners). The fried chicken was so-so. A lot of mediocre food for $40.
We had a wonderful time here as always. The chilean sea bass never disappoints 😊 We can’t wait to come back.
Good food, but a bit on the small portion side. Were there early so was quiet. Clam and corn chowder soup tasted good.
The music was annoying and loud when we came in, but the server turned it down a bit it’d be good to make it background music not louder.
A very good experience. My party of three was delighted.
Fabulous food and ambiance. Frustrating when you want to clear and bill and request boxes to go. Service is slow then. Overlooking that, Sea Pearl is wonderful and we will absolutely be back.
Perfect place to celebrate our anniversary! The salmon and crabcake dishes were delicious. Our server, Anne, was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back.
Great food. My cocktail was done just right. The appetizers, oysters fresh and fried tasted really good. The main course dishes were tasty. Our waiter, was very thorough and explained each dish very well. My dessert drink was the best !!! Taro Cocktail ?
Love this restaurant! Been going there since it first opened. Super nice staff. Delicious high quality food. Sushi is to die for!!! A true delight.
Everything was good. Service was great! I was with an elderly group (noticed quite a few there) and my recommendations are to put a handrail for walking down the two steps from the buffet area and to give alternative sauces for the meat etc that isn't too spicy.
Overall, my friend and I had a nice time dining for dinner. The duck potstickers and sea bass were delicious, but I wasn’t impressed by the sushi rolls we got. The prices were a little higher than I expected. The service was excellent but felt awkward when the furniture around us was moved when the staff was getting ready to turn the room into a night club. I guess that was our cue to leave!
