Our fist time here, celebrating birthdays. Everything was perfect, the food, the ambiance, but mostly our server. Unfortunately, his name escapes me. We were at the table closest to the sea, possibly #114, on 4/21. He was one of the best ever.
Had two great meals while in Redondo Beach for a wedding. Suggestion to somehow soften the "blast" when the rear door opens for food delivery to the outside. Big blasts from the winds outside, shakes the adjacent windows. Food great and service extraordinary!
Dinner was lovey. The atmosphere was great and the service was perfect. the food was all excellent.
Both dinner entrees (sea bass, blackened salmon) and appetizers (lobster bisque) were wonderful. And we timed it to watch the sunset over dinner. We will definitely be back.
We love coming here for the view, the ambiance, and they had live music👍😎
And the outside area is dog friendly.
Very nice place. I was skeptical about a small hotel restaurant, but it was great. The medium rare salmon was outstanding.
Very nice dinner in a lovely marina setting (if it's warm enough, definitely sit outside, noise level can be a bit much inside). Sophisticated, hip, great service, nice menu selection, and dozens of tap beers to choose from. The Jidori chicken was quite good but a little too salty. The sides it came with (baby root vegetables and kale) were perfect. This would be a perfect dish to split since it was huge, just ask if they can cut back on the salt. Husband's pizza was pretty good but a little limp so ask for extra crispy if you opt for that. For you chocoholics, make sure and save room for the chocolate pot du cream cake which was divine.
We were disappointed in noise level. We were celebrating an anniversary and couldn't hold a conversation. It was happy hour. Also 2 piece combo that played around 700pm was too loud for such a small space inside. Food and service we're excellent.
Food was expensive and quite frankly not that good. The restaurant and bar are a great to go on a Friday and Saturday for drinks and maybe an appetizer. But not a solid pick for dinner especially a date where you want to talk.
Really enjoyed the meal, unfortunately the wind kicked up and it was cold. They were very accommodating with blankets and patio heaters, but it was still cold. The barramundi fish was awesome, and the pot de creme for dessert was stellar. Beautiful sunset view of the harbor and actually cheap valet.
Really enjoyed it.
The only thing we like was the setting. Food was mediocre, drinks barely had any alcohol. Waiters were very nice & friendly. We asked for a table outside because inside was incredibly loud. The worst part for me was three unpleasant & rude hostesses. We arrived 10-15 min early & they forced us to wait even though the restaurant was half empty.
One of my husband’s childhood friends was in town for St. Patrick’s Day and we wanted a nice “thematic” dinner. Most places were booked and/or full of the kind of drunken revelry that is fun in your early 20s, but not so much at our age. Enter Sea Level Restaurant. We arrived early for our reservation and enjoyed a lovely walk around the marina. When we returned, we opted to sit outside at a fire pit table, where the noise level was not so loud and we could enjoy our food, conversation, and the sea air. The staff was absolutely wonderful and very accommodating! Without any prompting, they noted that it was a chilly evening, brought us blankets, and moved some patio heaters close to us so we were comfortable. Our drinks and food were delicious and served in a timely manner. The only issue we had was that at one point during the night, the music got turned up so loud outside that it drowned out our conversation despite us being at the table furthest from the restaurant. Another table apparently let them know and it was turned down. Overall, we had an enjoyable experience and will likely be returning.
Amazing venue, great food and drinks! I would highly recommend the happy hour, great prices, great value.
Have been here for lunch twice, loved it. First time for dinner and on a Friday night and it was delicious, plenty of selection, great bar and entertainment. Will be back for sure.
Very noisy when we first came in but when Happy Hour was over, it became quieter! Food was good and service was excellent. Nice music was played by two musicians, not too loud so you could still carry on a conversation. We had a fun evening!
Sea level is in the Redondo Beach Marina next to the Cheesecake Factory. It is very great choice to take a friend or have cocktails . They have a nice happy hour and good food. Nice at sunset!
We love Sea Level and come in whenever we are in town. Mason is an outstanding server and we request him every single time!
Not impressed. We live in Hermosa Beach and wanted to try somewhere new, but this place was disappointing. They sat us at a terrible 2 top table right next to the kitchen. It was as if the table didn't normally go there. (We should've just waited to sit at the bar.) It took 10 minutes for anyone to even say hello to us once seated. The weather was also bad and cold, so we couldn't sit outside. If we ever go back, which I doubt, we will definitely sit on the patio by the marina--that will probably make the experience much better. Otherwise, sit at the bar without a doubt.
We decided not to eat dinner there because the service and table situation was so bad. We only got wine & the hamachi, which was just ok for the money. We're probably too big of food snobs at this point, but it was like $19 for 4 tiny bites and given the atmosphere, service, and plastic table & chairs, it didn't really seem worth our $80 tab (including 2 glasses of wine). There are a lot of other fantastic places to go with superior service, food, and atmosphere. We like the Shade Manhattan Beach's zinc lounge much better than this one. Who knows, maybe they'll get it figured out at some point.
Love this place. Good food, lively atmosphere. Exceptionally nice staff.
Great birthday for me here. Except.... bring the damn cinnamon rolls back!!!!
We were there on a Monday so it was very quiet. Food and service were excellent. We tried the soup of the day, had a sashimi tostada appetizer, and had the lobster rolls. Mine was on gluten free bread which was a treat to have that offered. Marina view. Sat outside. It was lovely!
We made reservations to meet friends from out-of-state for dinner. I requested a window table so we could enjoy the sunset and they honored that request. That meant a lot! Dinner was good. The only critique was we were right near the door that the wait staff was going in and out of to serve guests on the patio causing us to get bursts of cold air. We asked the manager if they could use one of the other doors and he took care of it right away. I was very impressed!!! Thank you Sea Level for a nice evening!!
Been wanting to try this place since it was right on the marina...the reviews were good and it a local spot for me so I wanted to check it...had the lobster Mac and cheese...that in itself was worth it...amazing...we also had the short rib “French dip” and that was really good too...side Cesar salad was blah...literally lettuce, barely any cheese and very little dressing...not worth it at all...the service was great...from the time we walked in til the time we left everyone was so nice and accommodating...it was a little brisk on the marina so they offered blankets and heaters...very nice...
Overall, sitting inside on a Friday night is not the best place if you wanted a relaxing meal. It is a very loud place, not sure I would use the term energetic. The food is always good, we have been there multiple times. Usually on a nice Saturday afternoon and sit outside.
Service is ok. It was interesting our table was ready though they wouldn't seat us until our reservation time. Guess they wanted to keep us out of the happy hour prices window.
Great for outdoor dining on a warm day. The patio is situated between 2 hotel towers and the harbor. When the wind is blowing it acts like a wind tunnel and is VERY cold. This time of year (February) the patio doesn't get much sun and with the one tunnel effect, outdoor dining isn't pleasant. The patio offers heat lamps, a few fire pits, and blankets, but it's not enough with the wind. The brunch is great!!
Sat @ the bar..... bartender was not knowable about the menu.... very slow ordering.
Overall this was an excellent choice for our group of friends. Although we had made a reservation to sit outside, the first table we were shown to was not to our liking, due to it being in the center with no wind protection. They offered to move us inside, but when we spied an outdoor table somewhat protected next to the glass partition, we asked for that and were accommodated, after a short wait. We also requested a specific server, Ryan, who had helped us while we were waiting, and again we were accommodated, even though that wasn't his station. Ryan provided excellent service, the food was top-notch, and the vibe is very upbeat and customer friendly. Would recommend.
Sea level is great for sunsets. They have a great happy hour. The food is phenomenal and they have a wonderful cocktail list. The outdoor area has nice fireplaces and heaters. You overlook the marina and feel very blessed to be in the beach cities. I would recommend this place for a nice date.
Awesome experience. Great service. Great food. Great view. Great Happy Hour!
Never been disappointed dining here. Food is always good, service is great and the view is awesome
I was pretty disappointed in the Happy Hour menu selection. More than half of the items were regular price.... The view is amazing. Just be ready to spend some $ on food!
Cozy place for casual dinner or drink
We celebrated Valentine's a few days early to avoid the rush and crowds. The ambience was Serene and romantic. We sat outside near the boat marina. The view was great and we watched the beautiful sunset. There were heat lamps to keep us warm and cozy. Service was excellent and quick. Our waiter was very attentive. The food was delicious and worth the expense for special occasions. I would definitely be coming again.
Great guava & prosecco drinks. Omelets very fluffy & tasty. Very loud outside, bridal shower or bachelorette party, I think. But inside was quiet enough to have a conversation. Service was very good.
Brunch with family and we were all happy with the beauty and the taste of our selections. Will make this a frequent brunch destination.
With reservation stuck at a Table on patio in noisy area & constantly moving tables & chairs around us—like being in a warehouse—be a long time before go back
Great happy hour!!! Loooooved our waitress! Very helpful in selecting wine & food!! We'll be back!!
Fourth time here - good location, good food, happy hour is good although the items we wanted to order were not on the happy hour list. But still good. Not terribly impressed with the waiter - he was a bit too in our face and annoying, and he forgot to follow up on a second glass of wine for my guest, then took a while to bring the check. But overall the ambiance is lovely and we enjoy hanging out there.
