Great menu with lots of good choices for any eater. Food was fresh tasting and interesting. Our service was poor, but I think there was an issue with table assignments as we have been here before and haven’t run into this. Manager did comp a drink, which was appreciated.
Delicious seafood and stunning views! Plenty of healthy, delicious options and great drink selection!
Food is delicious, hot, and came out pretty fast. Drinks were slow to arrive to table, appetizer arrived and was eaten before the first beverage arrived, but server explained they were busy and apologized, so this doesn't not affect the rating. Server was awesome, food was good, view of ocean so nice.
Not what you’d expect for a beautiful 80 degree day. The inside is dismal and uninviting. The service was non existent unless we reminded them. Go to finz.
If you’re looking for a good waterfront restaurant, this is the one to go to! The view is amazing, the food is delicious, it’s overall a great place to go!
We stopped for a quick bite before getting in the road. Fried clams were nice and tender, good. Clam chowder was disappointing. Very thin and not a lot of flavor or clams in my bowl. Server was not very interested in us and we had to ask for refill and check.
The table we had was inside and very little air circulation and warm.
Would not go back just a regular seafood place.
I gave this a 4 star rating because I know that restaurants are struggling to get good help and recover from the past year of Covid. As an Oyster Bar they someone with a little more experience shucking the Oysters.
Was a great evening. Just wished the food didn’t take as long. But I understand on a busy Friday night
The food was delicious! Great customer service.
Loved the chowder and fried clams. Great stop to enjoy the harbor.
We've been to Sea Level for oysters many times, but we LOVE going for the Mother's Day specials. The oysters are so fresh at sea level but they also make a tasty lobster roll. You must try the truffle fries to. And if they have it, order the strawberry bread pudding. It is listed as an entrée but is easily desert. We all shared one and were fighting over the last bite. The atmosphere is casual but not too loud and the view is lovely. Service was top notch. We didn't have to wait too long for out of the ordinary requests. Bonus drink menu. They have some very different cocktails AND mocktails with fresh mint, and basil. YUM!
The views are wonderful and the lobster dinner was delicious. It's a bit noisy, depending on who is seated near you.
Excellent food & service in an outdoor setting on the water
Great view from top deck of Salem harbor! We were seated right away and the service was amazing! We will be back soon!!
This is our 4th time at Sea Level. My husband wanted to go there for his birthday. It was wonderful as always!!
Gorgeous views and the food overall was quite tasty!
Great views of the harbor with great seafood and drink options
Terrible, two wait staff came to our table in a pair. Didn’t even bring us utensils or napkins. Food made me sick because the pasta was covered in overly spiced red sauce and over cooked seafood. My date also had an upset stomach. Do not recommend.
Service great. Chowder watery, very little substance. Oysters VERY poorly shucked, 'mangled'.
The fish tacos were not good. The taco shells were corn and not flour so tasted raw. Greek salad not well dressed.
The food was great and our server was good but a bit chilly by the door this time of year.
Everything about Sea Level was above expectations, Loved the food the atmosphere the wait staff were outstanding.
The food was AMAZING! The oysters were fresh and delicious and the scenery appealed to the senses even though it was foggy out. We ate on the balcony, which was covered nicely enough that we were cold. Would definitely go back if in the area.
Excellent spot for a date night. I can always count on the lively, friendly team in-house for a positive experience!
Fisherman’s platter initially missing listed items, scallops were burnt - manager came over apologized and had the missing items added and replaced the scallops. We were there to celebrate Easter and that along with a few other mishaps, didn’t have a great experience. I’m a baked stuffed lobster girl, wouldn’t order again if we ever make our way back to this restaurant.
David was a great server, food was delicious, view beautiful.
Food was good
Fried pickles awesome
Would return for dinner when in area
Food, service, and cocktails were great. We had a dozen oysters (duh!) and the shishito peppers to start (delicious). Baked seafood pie and scallops were also perfectly done and very cozu on the cold night we came. We look forward to coming when the deck is open to enjoy the views of the harbor!
We had a reservation for 7:15 and they informed us they were running 15 minutes late. It ended up being closer to 20 minutes late but a manager apologized and the first round of our drinks were complimentary.
Our first time there. Service and food were excellent. We had the oysters on the half shell, and shrimp cocktail for apps ( shrimp was huge). Both were terrific. For entree, we each had the lobster roll with hot butter served with some of the best French fries.
Always a great experience at Sea Level, and certainly quieter in March than in peak season. I had the steak tips and they were cooked to order and nicely seasoned.
Great place to be on a sunny day overlooking the water and Marblehead.
Food was good, service exceptional! Plan to return soon.
Friendly, welcoming, beautiful setting.
A great restaurant with an awesome view! Excellent selection of cocktails, apps and entrees!! Service was top rate. We look forward to going back soon!
Food was terrific. Get the clam chowder fries! Wish I had known about those sooner - amazing! Great view and service.
We had a nice relaxing late lunch with family, was so good.
Food and service was exceptional!!! Beautiful views for a restaurant tucked nicely from downtown
The atmosphere, drinks and service were good. The food, not so much. Chowder, not great. Anything with batter on it was much too salty and the swordfish tacos were terrible. The swordfish was over-cooked and the pineapple salsa(which was the only thing you could taste) was not good.
It was a fabulous experience. We had a 3pm reservation and arrived early and they still seated us. Safe environment, amazing views, incredible food selection and outstanding service.
