Oysters were excellent. The Salmon poke bowl was great. The rest was okay. Would go for the outdoor seating.
Great space, with an open feel, and plenty of outside seating with great views. Food was good overall. I didn't love the Baja fish tacos, strong canned salsa flavor, not very light.
Awesome cocktails!! Strong and tasty, just the way we like ‘em!! And the food was delish. Loved the Caesar Salad and the Lobstah Rolls (one hot and one cold). Cannot wait to return!
I loved going to sea level, the staff was fantastic — our server even helped to educate me on types of oysters they had. The views was fantastic, right on the wharf and prices were expected of a seafood place. I will definitely come back on my next visit to Salem.
Near perfect stop in Salem.
Just wish we had sit closer to the water. However inside was cool in the ac on a hot day.
Nice evening with the spouse. Cheaper than Legal but a better view. Service was as expected for a holiday weekend. Oysters could have been shucked better, only reason to nock the food.
Very nice seafood restaurant right on the water in Salem. Friendly service, excellent selection of beer on tap, and also excellent good. Nice combination! Will be back.
Nice night not crowded, littlenecks were delicious. Service was ok but the food was very good.
Always a great experience, food and service. It was a beautiful day so made it all the better.
The food was good once it came. The service was terrible! He had a pleasant attitude but messed up the initial drink order. Then he forgot to put in the oyster order, which was the whole reason we picked the place. When it was clear that there was no point waiting for soup we asked him to forget the soup, which he hadn’t put in yet anyways. Our food finally arrived and the oysters arrived after the meal. Through it all there was never an acknowledgement on the servers part that he had messed up time and time again. We will certainly never be back!
Noisy. Good location looking over the pier in Salem. Good for a group that doesn't mind very loud venue. Primarily seafood, lobster roll good. Fries thin and limp, not recommended.
Our first experience was fabulous.
View was amazing and the hot Lobster roll was insanely delicious!!! Every bit of the rave from other reviews!
Food delivered hot
Nice seat overlooking the marina
Our server, Maddie, was excellent. Food was very good. Being Father’s Day it was crazy crowded and busy. Very loud. Overall enjoyed our time there.
Great location, plenty of choices and friendly staff. Fish tacos not my favorite.
Lobster rolls were flavorful with great presentation. The thin crust clam pizza was delicious. However, the fish of the day tacos were not up to par. The soft bread tacos were a bit dry and did not taste fresh. Overall, two out of the three dishes were great so I would come back for the view and lobster rolls.
food was excellent had a lobster roll a little pricey, but quite a bit of lobster and it was not over powered with mayo. definitely a to go restaurant. would go back
This was my second time at Sea Level and I really enjoyed it the first time. This time, though, all of the staff seemed totally uninterested in being helpful. We arrived 45 mins before our reservation and asked if we could sit outside (I had also marked this in the reservation). I even offered to wait longer than the reservation time to wait for an outside table. I was told they would try to sit us outside but we were sat inside without even a mention of our request. The bartender seemed generally annoyed when we had a drink while we waited and our waiter was the opposite of friendly. The food was also mediocre. My fries tasted microwaved and the fried cod had no flavor. My fiancé got sick that night from the swordfish. And to top it off we had to wait forever to get our check. Will not be returning.
Excellent service and a great location but marginal food at best at a very high price
I am a regular at Sea Level and the food and ambiance are always great. Our server was really great and accommodating for my crazy kiddos. I felt like I had a night out, but with the kids. Highly recommend!
Had a lovely lunch overlooking the water on a beautiful day.
Food was amazing, awesome view, great vibes.
Food was very good, but the lobster roll should be a little bigger for $26. Our server Mike was very nice and attentive. A complaint would be where we sat. It was a table right next to where they rip paper that they use to cover tables.. It was ear piercing and annoying. Other than that all was good!
Our table was great, food was delicious and drinks tasted amazing and Shanice was the best waitress very friendly and outgoing!!! We will definitely be back!
A bit crowded and noisy but I would absolutely go back if I were in Salem again. Lobster roll was just ok by NE standards, clam chowder was phenomenal. Oysters were fresh and sauces were well-balanced.
As we set down the busgirl had an attitude starting from giving us the table that the host assigned us to throwing the menus on our faces just because we told her the spot where the host assigned us to sit. However, when i told the server she made sure the manager was aware, and her service and the managers assistance was exceptional.
It was very nice. Waiter took awhile to get to our table though. Hostess was wonderful and met us right away and sat us down and brought over champagne that a friend of ours had ordered ahead of time. She was great
Menu options were good, view great. Only downfall was large party seated at table next to us in an open restaurant, ordered after us, received their food and was nearly finished before we received our meals. We had to ask for our bill, took him a while to come back for it, then he stopped at a table and took a complete order before he processed it. We ended up missing out on some Salem sights since we waited so long. Only there for the day.
Beautiful view on the water with indoor and patio seating. Seafood is delicious and they have a great selection of beer.
Been here many times We had a late reservation on mother’s Day so a couple of choice options were run out. Jeremy was a perfect server. Pleasant and attentive. I’d ask for him specifically. Food was delicious as always. A special place for us and worth the drive.
Caleb was a great server. Lobster benedict was pretty good.
Well the drinks were bad, the food came out wrong, they took it back for some reason instead of just bringing me the correct side. Then brought my food back and everything was cold except for the side they had to make. The fish was insanely dry and over cooked.
Service was attentive, food was fresh and tasty. Windows were so squeaky clean we thought they were open!
Made a reservation for an early mother's day with a request for a window view if possible and was seated in the middle of the restaurant on the second floor behind the bar. I understand that this is a request which depends entirely on availability but the restaurant was pretty empty including nearly all the window seats. The strangest thing was someone was setting up to sing and play guitar at 1:30-ish on a Sunday afternoon that took roughly an hour just to set up and we were seated where it was going to be loudest even after saying we were there to celebrate an early mother's day. I would have thought the request would have indicated that a quiet seat was the goal, but I could be wrong.
The food was better than the ambiance, fried seafood was very tasty but the one person that got a grilled piece of fish was more impressed with the salad than the fish. Can't really imagine returning. Being in New England I know I can get equally tasty fried seafood in a number of places with better atmosphere.
Upon arrival the hostess couldn’t locate my reservation so I showed my opentable email with reservation information. They had accidentally given my reservation to another customer that arrived prior to me and my friends. Luckily they had a table open for my party of four. Food was great and came out in a timely manner. Waitress was efficient but not overly friendly. Great view of the water!
It was my first time to this restaurant. Food was very good and prepared well. I thought the value was excellent compared to other seafood restaurants. I would come back.
Lobster Roll was phenomenal- so fresh! The oysters on the half shell and the mussels dish was excellent! Very fresh! Service was excellent!
We have enjoyed Easter lunch/dinner here for the past two years. Service is great, food is always very satisfying, and there are unique drinks and beers on tap. This year I got the lobster roll (hot not cold, for the first time) & the strawberry green bean salad, and it was perfection. They also have a great children’s menu and are very welcoming towards children. I have recommended and will continue to recommend Sea Level.
Such a great experience, can’t say no to rooftop oyster bar with a view of the harbor!
