   Great late lunch today. Manager was super accommodating when the weather was on and off rainy—lighting us a propane heater and giving us the option to move inside. Service was rather slow and the appetizer came out with the entrees but everything tasted great. Fish tacos of the day were perfect as was the maki sushi special and the steamers were so yummy, I already want more.

   We hadn’t been to Sea Level Newburyport for a couple of years and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the large drink selection including a full page of N/A drinks. We both ordered roasted fish entrees, which were very delicious, artful and plentiful. The food came out quickly, and our waiter was gracious and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back.

   Our food and server were great. I would definitely recommend them and will be back. The only complaint I have is we had a reservation but when we checked in we were told 5 minutes till we would be seated. I went back to the host after 20 minutes to find out how much longer and was told they were cleaning a table. We waited over 30 minutes.

   Hi Tricia, I'm so happy to hear you had a wonderful experience with us, its what we aim for everyday in food, service, and vibes. But I can't apologize enough for the seating situation you experienced- I was actually there for this, trying to assist the host - I just want to assure you this was an extremely unusual occurrence last night, and certainly not up to our standards; a night like that we typically have 3-4 hosts on, and everything runs as smooth as can be.    We requested a quiet table and were shown to a corner table with a water view. It must be gorgeous when the weather is warm and sunny since it has an outside deck overlooking the river. Service was prompt and very accommodating since we had to warm up with hot tea before even looking at the menu. Our server was great. Friendly and patient. Food was really good and we enjoyed everything. The warm cookie pie, even shared 3 ways, was a perfect sweet ending. Would go back anytime.

   We had Sushi and Salmon and both selections were excellent. We very much enjoyed them. The food stood out! The restaurant is located at a nice location with water views and I assume it’s a great location in summer when you can sit outside. The service was good. The waiters were clearly tasked to the max supporting maybe a couple tables to many for great service, so no complaint about our server. The one downside was that it was very loud. We were sitting in the middle row and it was very tough to even have a conversation. I suspect it’s better at other tables. In summary, great food, probably excellent ambiance in summer and we will be back.

   Hi Jurgen, We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our sushi and salmon selections and found our cuisine to be excellent. Apologies on the noise level. Acoustics are tough in this historic building, but please always feel free to request a quieter table, we have some booths that may be a tad quieter than where you sat. And yes, outdoor seating, perfect ambiance and noise levels not an issue - its a vibe! We're looking forward to welcoming you back to Sea Level Oyster Bar-NBPT soon.    We went for a birthday dinner with little kids. They sat us at the corner table which was great because kids are unpredictable. Food was delicious. The server was attentive and they even got me a little birthday dessert. Perfect little outing.

   Sea Level in Newburyport is an excellent restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is exceptional, the ambience is welcoming, and the view is incredible.
