   Much better food than expected! We will definitely frequent Sea Dog Cantina! This isn’t your ordinary Mexican restaurant. This is much better quality food.

   We were seated right away at a great table outside. Service staff very nice and polite as usual. Everything was a little slower that it had been in the past but it is no great mystery and I won’t dock the people that have the courage to show up for work. We will be back for sure!!

   The food was good, and the pricing was great. Our only complaint was that while the service was very friendly, it was also incredibly slow. We went on kind of a slow day, and on off hours, so maybe this is not a problem all the time, but we will definitely be back.

   Some of the best Mexican food in the St Pete area. Our server was incredible and drinks were delicious. Super huge portions so be prepared to take some home. Great hidden gem!!

    Sea Dog Cantina is one of our favorite places and we dropped in for taco week. Glad to see they were offering Tacos Al Pastor and plan to add them to the regular menu as they were outstanding. Also, try the Caesar Corn salad and agave Manhattan--you can thank me later.

    On vacation- found Sea dog Cantina and was pleasantly surprised by a live band with a fabulous singer- drinks were great as was the pablano Quesadillas. Enjoyed our time there! The Gulfport area is eclectic and artistic- enjoyed walking around-

    Our waiter Sam, went ABOVE and BEYOND FOR US!!! He was about to leave and stayed because nobody wanted to served us. Sam made sure we were taken care of and did an excellent job! Sam was apologetic, funny, and just an outstanding guy! Thanks Sam!!!! The food and drinks were amazing. They were so good my mom had one for dessert! lol. Food was authentic and had great flavor. Came out fast too. Everything was amazing and we can wait to come back next year while we are on spring break.

    Somewhat limited menu compared to many Mexican food restaurants. Pork burrito was very good and enjoyed the Sea Dog Amber beer. Waitress was super friendly and attentive.

    Though the restaurant was short staffed, the servers and other staff remained helpful and appeared to coordinate their tasks for greater efficiency. The food was great. The quinoa bowl and fajitas were outstanding.

    Waited 20 minutes before a server came to our table, after ordering drinks and appetizers had to ask waiter for the appetizers twice before we got it and it took over an hour and a half for our food to be brought out while two other tables who came afternoon us got their food and drinks almost immediately.     Made a 515pm reservation. Hostess told us no outside seating was available despite plentiful open tables. Waitress let us move to an outside table. Jamie, our server was very good, explained and apologized in advance about lack of staffing which I understand. Appetizers did not come out together, nachos were late. Entrees were ready immediately after appetizers came out. They offered to keep them warm. They had no enchiladas available and nothing with Roja sauce (another 3-4 entrees). Burritos were dry and flavorless, corn salad was just ok. Overall bad experience. Should have know by the empty restaurant on a Saturday night. There are plenty of other good options in Gulfport, skip this one.

    Fantastic food and exceptional value. Did well managing the number of guests amid staff shortages. Glad we made a reservation in advance. Loaded nachos with beef were a meal for three all by itself!

    The food was excellent! We even happened to be there for Taco Tuesday and you can't beat that deal. Other entree prices were as to be expected for a Sea Dog restaurant - not cheap but not terribly overpriced. Although I am not a tequila drinker, my boyfriend is and he was very happy with the selection. The atmosphere was laid back with a fun vibe. The front bar area was very nice but we loved the back dining area by the fountain and the big, glass gazebo roof over the bar. It wasn't too busy when we went so the noise level was fairly low and it was a cozy place to have dinner and conversation. Our server was great, as was the other staff we met. We'll be back!

    Food was awful. Don’t order the enchiladas. So dry! They actually took one order off the check. Margaritas were fantastic however. So maybe just a drink and chips and skip the food.

    This was our first visit to this new Sea Dog location in Gulfport. We were all so impressed with the ambience and decor of the restaurant…both on the inside and outside dining and bar areas. It’s definitely the best space of all the Gulfport restaurants. The food and the drinks and the service were excellent. At the table we had the guacamole appetizer, the fish and short rib tacos, and the skirt steak. All were fabulous!

    This is a relatively new restaurant in Gulfport. It's huge and has excellent outside seating. The wait staff is doing the best they can. The food was good, came quickly and the margaritas are very, very good. The happy hour is a good one also and great value! The inside is quite noisy and we wish there was a little more soundproofing material so that everything doesn't echo. We would probably eat outside the next time depending upon the heat because of the noisiness. But overall, it was a very pleasant and good experience.
