We came for the highlight of our trip. After waiting 2 hours (after our seated reservation) Extremely disappointed as our royal ($199) boils were raw. They kept bringing replacements raw. Unfortunate. We just went to Dairy Queen. Totally ruined our weekend. Manager was great and accommodating but the kitchen just couldn’t get it together. We left starving. Felt horrible for the server. It wasn’t her fault.

Made the reservation using open table but when we got to the restaurant the manager was no longer honoring the reservations through the app.

Great place for a special food experience, especially those of us who like various kinds of seafood. The Northwest Boil with the SEA sauce was spicy enough with water and bread to balance it. Come prepared to get your fingers messy, as crab, mussels, prawns and clams take some effort to open. The raspberry cheesecake dessert was a nice change of pace after all that meat! Expensive for a regular outing ($200 for a boil, dessert and 2 cocktails) but a delight for a special occasion!

The SEA Crab House in Astoria really pushes their boil. I found the price to be pretty expensive as it included garlic bread but no salad. We ordered it. I found the boiled potatoes and corn underwhelming as vegtables. I wanted salad and more green vegtables with my seafood. I won't order the boil again. The staff was nice and the view is good and the parking is convenient.

Overall it was a nice experience for Mother's Day and my wife want's to go back for her birthday. I had made reservations online, but don't believe they were required as people were just walking in and getting a table. With that said, It would have been nice to sit in the main dining room and not right next to the kitchen entrance. The amount of seafood we received for a $140 boil was okay, but was void of any taste. They promote a southern style seafood boil (I'm from New Orleans), but it appeared that they boiled the seafood in regular water. Yes, you get to add a seasoning to the boil, but it's more of a sauce and not actually seasoning. The extra dip that we purchased was very tasty and that saved the boil. We will go again, but only on special occasions. Would probably go more often if I was making 200K annually. Runs about $50 per person unless you get the fish and chips for $25.

This is a great place to take a group of people for a boil dinner. The food is delicious, the drinks excellent, and the service (Manuel) was top notch. Good time with good friends. Only downside is there is very limited parking. Parking a few blocks away and walking was not a problem.

Everything was extraordinary! However, one thing that was very off-putting was when my partner complimented the food to the woman in the black blazer, who looked like the manager, her reply to my partner was, "Well at least one thing is going well today." This remark shocked us and made us feel like either the management was very sour and demeaning, or the restaurant was not being run well, either way, it changed our perception of the night. It is never acceptable to for a leader to comain about their team to a customer.

Brooklyn was an excellent server. She told us about the menu and answered any other questions we had. The chowder was good. The view was nice. The food a crab/shrimp boil had no taste. No seasoning at all. An expensive dish to be prepared so poorly. A loud cussing diner a cross from us too. Just visiting Astoria for the day. Would not go back.

25 mins before we flagged someone down to place a drink and appetizer order. Another 20 mins before we actually got anything. Food was very disappointing - calamari was underdone, salad was depressing, boil only so-so. Way overpriced. It’s too bad given how awesome the location is.

Little pricey for what your getting, they do have a special menu but you haft to ask for it. The only reason I knew is I found it on their website. Happy hour is only if your sitting in the bar and thier is no server?

We went at night, so didn’t get the advantage of the riverside view. We went in January, and the restaurant was pretty cold inside. My husband who’s from Louisiana, had been craving crawdads and was really pleased with them. He had to order a whole pound. 1/2 pound option would have been nice. I had the Tai beef salad. It was pretty bland without much flavor. I asked for some of their house sauce that they put on the boils. THAT made the whole salad come alive. But they charged me $2.50 for it. Overall it was a fun experience. My husband wants to go again and try the catfish. My recommendation is based on the uniqueness of this kind of restaurant in our area.

Unfortunately I am not able to give this restaurant a good review at this time. I booked a reservation for my husband’s birthday and upon arrival, informed by a sign on the door that restaurant is closed through 1/9 for any others that may have reservations this weekend.

Disappointing second visit to the SEA Crab as our clam chowder was glue-like and the caesar salad was marginal. The only plus: the fries. We've had the shellfish previously and it was much better than our recent fare.

This place had mixed reviews, but I decided to book it anyway. The food was excellent flavorful however, way over priced. 2 pounds of shrimp and 1 pound of lobster (One lobster split in two pieces) with four potatoes, and a sausage in my boil. A crab cake appetizers that only came with two pieces, a loaf of bread an order of chicken wings and two Caesar salad came to nearly $350! Needless to say I won’t be back based on price alone. I didn’t even order any drinks!!!

We went for my husbands 29th birthday. Very over priced for what you get, not fancy at all. “Fish bowl” drinks are smaller than a regular glass at a bar. Not worth the money at all. It’s a shame the view is insane but for a pricey restaurant we expected a very up scale environment. Had to ask for a napkins and silverware. Was handed a dirty paper towel roll. Had to ask for refills. Everything is very pricey and small even the clam chowder. Don’t waste your time or money coming here.

The food was good, we were in the last reservations so the floor, table and chairs were dirty. The kitchen was being cleaned so the employees had music in the background aside from the restaurant music, I thiught that was a little disrespectful for the customers. Even though they were cleaning and ready to close we still had a $150 check to pay and did not feel that we should have eaten with a dirty floor and music that was not the restaurant’s ambience.

Hard to describe this place; has a fish shack ambiance (e.g. roll of paper towels instead of napkins) but also has some very pricy options. For example, I had a lobster roll which was mediocre at best but also cost $33 (market prices, apparently). And in the boil, depending on which crab legs you order, you could approach 3 figures. Yes, there are more reasonable options, but I sensed this is a place you would need to visit more than once in order to figure out the best way to work the menu. This said, our server was attentive, polite, and available--no problem there. But we were overall unhappy with our experience and would be hesitant to eat here again.

So freaking good! The area special sauce on the boil was recommended and it was perfect! Get the bread to dip in the sauce! Chowder was rich and creamy with clam shells. Some people don't like it that was but I do!!! Service was great, friendly and very knowledgeable. Our server recommended places to see while we were in town. Invited us back for happy hour which they do from 3-6 daily in the lounge. We will be back. The views, drinks, food and service. A little spendy but what do you expect for fresh seafood. Totally worth it. It's great meal to share. I loved eating with our hands, digging in and getting messy. The bibs they provided were a great add to our dining experience.
