The food was ok, slightly overpriced for what it was. I’d heard really good things about the restaurant but was a little underwhelmed when I went. Im a big dessert person, and the creme brulee was more posset than brulee :(
Went for lunch on a Saturday. Great service and food. It was just incredibly noisy. I suspect the bottomless Prosecco on offer may have had something to do with it! Perhaps not the ideal environment for a date, particularly if you want to be able to hear the other person clearly.
Came in for the festive menu. It was good. The table next to us did not get to receive as it seems they ran out of turkey. Our server was fantastic. Apple pie was served almost still frozen, not sure it was suppose to be that way.
Service was slow. Especially drinks. Thanksgiving menu was ok. Nothing special or unique. Good that proceeds from the Thanksgiving dinner went to charity.
It could have been OUTSTANDING but the service was suffocating. I think they might not have been as busy as they were expecting because we had a server, his manager and someone in a suit all looking over our table. Two people tried to take drink orders, just after we started eating three different people asked us if everything was okay, two asked if they could take the same plate ("no"), and so on. It's not often that you get this kind of attention in London but it does make it tough to hold a conversation when unoccupied staff stop by the table at least 30 times during two courses.
Great location, really nice venue inside. Food (brunch) was OK, but nothing special. The final bill was fairly high, mostly because the drinks (tea, coffee, juice) and french fries were pretty expensive. The meals were well priced though. Overall I would recommend but mostly because of the ambiance and location rather than tastiness and value.
Wonderful place ... Amazing location ... Beautiful view and impeccable service ... Food really good ... Highly recommended ... 😍
The food wasn’t great, one of the small plates we had was really tasty but everything else was very average so I wouldn’t say it’s great value either. Also I was so parched after I can only assume loads of salt was used. Service however was very attentive if not a little too much as it seemed like we had 3 servers to our table, but they were all friendly and helpful. Came here as I was looking for a place with a view but probably wouldn’t return as there’s better food elsewhere at a better price and you can admire the views just as well by being outside...
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Brunch was great value.
A great feel, service was excellent.
I’ve been a couple of times now, I’ve tried the bottomless prosecco lunch which was amazing and on Friday Pre theatre tasting menu meal which again was lovely. Highly recommend great location, yummy food always great service.
My son couldn’t eat his main as the flavour was overpowering so we gave him some of our food. The staff were very apologetic and wanted to get him an alternative but he had had enough. We were not charged for his food even though we hadn’t complained. Fantastic service. Very lively - a bit too noisy for us. Otherwise, lovely.
Really relaxed atmosphere, staff were very accommodating and helpful. Really enjoyed our evening here.
Amazing food - theatre menu. Very good value. Beautiful restaurant with a river view. Took such good care of us and our 82 year old friend on her birthday.
My colleagues had burgers which looked & apparently tasted delicious. Unfortunately my flatbread was grossly overcooked and like eating cardboard. I should have sent it back but didn't want to cause a scene at a business lunch. Equally I'm surprised they served it looking like that.
I booked the theatre deal advertised on Opentable (£25 for 2 courses and prosecco or £28 for 3 courses) but for whatever reasons, the staff at the entrance refused to give me the theatre menu I booked. The food was good but the bill was double what was advertised on opentable for just 2 courses. I did not want to make a scene as I was with a family member who visited me from abroad, it was late, she was tired and hungry and I did not want to spoil her stay in London but I was very disapointed and shocked by the lack of integrity and lack of ethics from that one restaurant staff member. The waitresses who served us were good but because of the one member of staff who did not give us the menu that was advertised on Opentable, I had to lower the service rating. I felt like I was cheated, it felt like fake advertising the restaurant put on Opentable. One dishonest member of staff can ruin a restaurant by overshadowing all the good work done by everyone else
standards have slipped since I was last here - service was slow and almost resentful once you got past the door staff. We had to ask for a drink more than once and the portions were small
Bland food. Unrinsed capers made very very salty salmon.
Gonzalo made our experience legendary. Thank you mate. A pleasure
The theatre tasting menu was good fun.
Three starters, three mains to share and a dessert each for £30.
The waiter made it exciting and the interior was great.
Great experience had , Amazing food, service and views.
Nothing fantastic about the atmosphere or the decoration, but all the dishes were excellent. The place was relatively quiet and the service ok. The waiters tended to be slightly pushy on drinks and wine, and the wine waiter didn’t know which wine was in store. I would recommend having a drink at the restaurant rather than the rooftop bar.
Excellent food as usual, but on this occasion, the services was not as good as it normally is.
Wonderful atmosphere and really great food. The sharing plates are really tasty and it's nice to be able to have a selection of flavours to share. The service at Sea Containers is fantastic - really friendly but not in your face! An enjoyable evening and we'll be back.
Service was excellent, but food very overpriced for what it is!
Also I was expecting stunning views over the Thames, but didn't realise the restaurant was on the ground floor, so just looks out to a pedestrian pavement!
What a lovely spot to catch up. Service was fantastic too
Waiter advised us to take what we want from the buffet in the next 15 minutes, as the kitchen would be changing courses - this was just 5 minutes after we’d tentatively decided in front of him that we would go for the more expensive option of the house breakfast, as opposed to individual dishes. When I told him that this made us feel rushed, and we should have been told before ordering, he became defensive and blamed reception staff for not telling us. No apologies offered, and full price including service was charged. We expected a relaxed brunch, but couldn’t wait to get out of there! Pity, because the food was nice, and so was the decor, and the view of the Thames.
Great brunch, recommend Shakshuka, and the bottomless Bloody Mary is bloody lovely
The worst service ever. We waited 45 minutes just to order a drink (we asked several times and were told someone was coming... but they didn’t), our starters hadn’t even arrived and we were told our mains were on their way?! If it wasn’t for our 86 year old Grandma we would have left and went elsewhere.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Maybe a wider selection of main courses needed.
Delicious food, lovely location, great service. I booked Sea Containers as a brunch for my husband's birthday and from start to finish, our experience was fantastic. We had bottomless drinks option and the waiting staff were so incredibly attentive to ensure our glasses were never empty. The food was brilliant (we had the chicken and waffles, truffle mac and cheese, avocado on rye bread, salad and smoked salmon) and beautifully presented. Staff were polite and helpful throughout our visit.
Little bit of a confusion with our brunch order. But there was 8 of us all ordering same meal with different requirements.
Excellent waiter that made us all feel special.
Will be back again soon thank you .
Fabulous brunch in perfect surroundings.
The waiting staff were attentive and friendly.
Our first visit to Sea Containers was beautiful so we were excited to invite some friends there to breakfast. Big disappointment! The service was sub-standard, the waiter ignore us for most of the time and then kept forgetting our request the rest of the time. The food was blah! Lovely spot especially the outside but the service sucked.
Very average and very overpriced for what the quality of food was.
Service was attentive but food was disappointing. Had Sirloin, which had a lot of fat and wasn’t cooked very well - quite chewy. All in all it was an alright experience but the price is much too high for the quality.
Sea containers is in a great location by the river and it looks great but the acoustics are terrible meaning that it is practically impossible to hear each other even at a small table. The food was ok but the Prosecco was terrible meaning that we upgraded to champagne at the bottomless brunch to avoid an awful hangover the next day. All very disappointing really. There are much better brunches available and I wouldn’t rush back
Try and get a window table as the view is amazing!
Had a pre-theatre dinner. Interesting and delicious food with lovely service. Made to feel very welcome. Will definitely revisit.
Service was terrible and ruined the evening. Food was late and the waiters could barely speak English
