Celebrating my birthday here with 6 girlfriends and it was amazing! The food, atmosphere, and staff was fabulous. Will absolutely come back!
I went with a group of girls on a Saturday night. It was fairly empty inside, and we felt rushed to order and eat. At 10pm they did last call, and we felt like the staff was waiting for us to leave by 10:30. I think it may be more fun sitting outside for happy hour rather than a spot to go for dinner on a Saturday night.
Most of the food was shockingly below average. The only thing that measured up was the chicken skewers. The flat bread was awful.
Uncomplicated, accessible and well executed menu. The scallops and octopus were the stars for us
The experience was less than par on many accounts. While the decor and vibe of the restaurant upon walking in was nice, the food was not very good and the service was extremely slow/inconsistent. While the night was busy, we were seated immediately and not every table was occupied thus making the extremely service issues confounding--it seemed like servers, bartenders, and bussers were running around everywhere and had little familiarity with the menu. Menu read nicely but both meals we had were not very flavorful or noteworthy in any way. We stopped for a small pizza on the way home at another establishment.
Server forgot our drink order. 40 minutes later, I had to find her to get the drinks.
The restaurant has only been open for around 5 months. We were the first ones in the restaurant for dinner at 5:45pm on a Friday night, but it slowly filled up a bit more around 8pm. So, it was quiet. The food was awesome though. Service was great too. I would love to go back, just wish they would have been a little busier.
I've never been so disappointed in a dining experience. Cocktails weren't great, even the standard Margarita. We were there at Happy hour, but didn't get happy hour pricing (it was MLK day, so maybe it didn't count for happy hour). Three out of four dips on the Mezze plate were lackluster - the hummus was particularly bland and watery (the eggplant was delicious). The zucchini beignets were very tasty, but they were fritters (large, dense, battered and deep fried), nothing like beignets. The lamb chops were also well done, but the roasted root vegetables they came with were more al dente (especially the carrots) as opposed to roasted. We finally just ordered some Mezcal on the rocks since that was obviously safe. The bread was delicious and the best part of the meal, unfortunately.
Service was okay, if slow, and after we nicely commented that the Margarita was passable, not great, we saw the bartender / server go back and comment on us to his coworker.
The $110 bill was insult to taste bud injury. We didn't even push back on not getting the happy hour discount, we just wanted to go.
Everything we had was very well prepared and delicious. Octopus was our favorite, hummus wasn’t the best but it was still good.
Mussels were well prepared and the tomato-cream sauce (?) was excellent. We used all of the table bread to soak up the sauce. Lamb shank was tender and not overcooked, with a savory vegetable risotto. Lamb chops (5) were medium rare as ordered. We tried three wines by the glass-nothing to expound on-I wonder if some bottles had been opened a day earlier...
Service was very good. The restaurant was has a hearth-like warmth, which allows you to focus in the food and company.
Place was great. Service was exceptional very attentive and knowledgeable
Wow! Definitely an undiscovered gem. Very pretty/trendy on the inside and outstanding food. Would highly suggest the lamb skewer! It is SO good! They also have a back area that would be great if you were having a party.
This was our first time and loved it. Great personable service and excellent food.
l (we) like the place, you will too.
food portions, just the right size.
It was our first time to Sea and Olive and it was a fantastic experience. The service was professional and personalized. The decor was top notch. And the food topped it all off. Everything was delicious but I need to especially highlight their house-made bread and olive/tomato spread. We had to ask for seconds because we ate it so fast!
Great place. Friendly staff. Tables are set with plenty of space between each other. Waiters have room to move around without bumping with you. The environment is good, not noisy. You can hold a conversation perfectly. The food is very good. The menu has good variety.
Went to Sea and Olive for dinner with a few friends. We ordered several appetizers for the table and they were all excellent. The shrimp casserole and meatballs were especially good. I ordered the lamb chops - medium rare - for my entrée and I think they may have been the beat I’ve ever eaten. I would absolutely recommend Sea and Olive for a fun dinner with friends or a romantic date spot. Will definitely be back again soon!
Drinks and food were great! The service was not that great, they only had one server staffed on a Friday night. He was nice and sweet but clearly overwhelmed. We waited very long time for drinks, food, and our bill! Everything was delicious and atmosphere was great! They need to hire more people. It was a packed house with one server on a Friday night is not ideal! But we will definitely be back the food too good to not come back to try something else
Highly recommend to try this place! Their menu offers variety of seafood, vegetarian options and anything for a meat lover. Loved their hummus, meatballs and especially veggie flat bread!
Try out their wine tasting option, me and my date def enjoyed including the relaxed and romantic atmosphere, will def visit again!
Really enjoyed my dining experience here. Such a romantic, chill and cozy spot! Perfect addition to the neighbourhood!
Ambiance was great, nice music, dimmed lights and quite delicious food. They offer plenty of appetizer choices, variety of entrees. Portions are huge! The wine and cocktail selection is great too! Oh, and desserts, baklava is something you’ve never ate before!
This is a nice spot for a date, girls night, or a family dinner! Oh, and they offer party areas for large groups too! Worth checking out!
Bad service, calimari was rubber and all breading, hair in one of my friends food
The calamari was too small to share. The saganaki was a completely different version we didn't like. A steak had to be sent back to be cooked longer. The waiter was less than attentive. Ambiance nice. Chicken dishes delicious.
The decor and wine selection are the best parts of this restaurant. The hummus was bland and a bit runny. The octopus was chewy and fried, not charbroiled as it was listed in the menu. The chicken kebabs were flavorful but there was way too much butter on the orzo.
Were not asked if we wanted to order food for 42 minutes after we were seated. Not asked about drinks for 30.
Ended up just paying for our drinks and leaving. Disappointed.
The food was awesome...when we got it. We waited forever for our meal and it all came out at different times. They ran out of bread and then they also ran out of tortilla chips- which was a weird thing to offer anyway with hummus. They tried to make up for it by bringing us free appetizers but hummus and raw veggies (no more tortilla chips) wasn’t really going to cut it. Luckily we weren’t in a rush so waiting for 3 hours for our food wasn’t a big deal. I would have rather them comp our meal then bring us raw appetizers we didn’t even want.
I would probably go back because our food was great...but not for awhile until the service gets better.
Great edition of the neighborhood. Salmon was done in an unusual fashion and was delicious. Decadent chocolate cake. Friendly place. I hope it thrives
Loved it great service
Food was excellent. Server went out of his way to accommodate special requests on side dishes. Nice ambiance. Live music in background, but not overbearing and still able to converse normally. Reasonable prices. If any negative, I would appreciate a few more choices for entree items.
We had an early reservation (6:30) and were surprised that few tables inside were filled. This restaurant has excellent and original food choices at reasonable prices. We had the skirt steak which was excellent. Appetizers included eggplant (actually eggplant Parmesan) and fried calamari. Pastas also very good.
The food was good and there is a large outside patio. The menu was Mediterranean/American but then there was a live musician playing salsa style music. I know it use to be a Mexican restaurant and just seems like there are too many different styles going on under one roof
They just changed their menu from Mexican cuisine to Mediterranean cuisine and the food was amazing. We really love Greek and Turkish cuisine and the dishes were wonderful. We were there for happy hour which was great because all the appetizers were half off so we got to try a bunch! We had the lamb shank for our main dish and it was outstanding and cooked perfectly. We brought our toddler and infant and they were very accommodating and nice to our daughter. They do have kids menu options but she even ate some of the calamari, hummus, tzaziki and lamb. The service was awesome and they also had live music on the Friday night we were there so it was an awesome Friday night out with the family. We'll definitely be back with and without the kids. The wine selection was great too! Had a glass of the half off cabernet during happy hour. So great!
The food and customer service was great. I went on a Sunday which they offered their $40 brunch and $25 Mimosas package. I ordered from their regular menu. The food was amazing. I loved that there was a dj there playing a variety of music. I will be back.
Went here on my birthday, food was very good service as well, tried to enjoy our time as much as possible with the music blaring so loud we could not talk to each other across the table, being a party of five made it much harder.
Really nice place my first time there, my wife has been before with a large party as well and they all said the same music way too loud to communicate with one another at the table. Not sure if the music is blaring inside so it can be heard out side for the patrons sitting on the patio however there should be some consideration for the diners inside. Maybe consider getting a outdoor speaker. Overall good experience just music way too loud
Food was great but service could use some work. Server was super friendly and outgoing but forgot multiple things we asked for and it took him a while to come back to take our order.
