Excellent service by Ava. Food was delicious.
Great food (try the pork chops for a real treat). Great value too!
Service might have been too attentive. Wait staff interrupted our conversation at table many time with inquires about our needs. Awesome, but wait one second to be acknowledged before you in. Thus the term “wait”.
The service was exceptional and the food was great. Best Italian Food I’ve had!
The hot bread and garlic oil alone make dining at Scuzzi’s worthwhile! Shrimp Scuzzi was also delicious, served with a very generous portion of pasta in garlic butter sauce. My only complaint is that the wine was not at the proper temperature - it was too warm at room temperature. Also could be a better selection of cabs and red blends.
Food was absolutely fabulous. Service also fantastic and prices were great for what we got.
COVID world making it tough on everyone. Decided to just get out of the house one evening for dinner. Had the whole place to ourselves. Not one other patron in the restaurant. Needless to say the staff treated us royally. It was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Thank you.
Very friendly, great calamari !!
Rachel was a fantastic server!! Excellent experience!!
Worst meal ever. Chicken was grey and tasted fishy. No manager ever came over when I sent it back. Will not return.
Eric was attentive and entertaining as our waiter! Food was delish!
Our favorite go to place for Italian food in San Antonio.
Service was amazing and food was excellent.
Food was just ok, especially for the price. Service was good but nothing to write home about
Food was delicious but the service was amazing! Eric not only provide great service but also went above and beyond with his positive demeanor! Would definitely recommend Scuzzi’s and ask for Eric!
Love this place. The food was awesome. Will definitely be coming back.
Great place to eat with authentic delicious food. Kids friendly.
Food was excellent (a little pricey) and our server, Eric was great.
Our party of three decided to eat at Scuzzi’s Leon Springs for our son’s 23rd birthday. The staff was very warm and accommodating. When we checked in for our reservation, we were promptly seated in a quiet area of the restaurant and given our menus and the drink menu.
Our server Eric, came over to take our drink order promptly. When he returned with our beverages a short time later, he took out order and stated that he’d be right back with bread... and he was! The yummiest warm and fresh bread I’d tasted in a while. The dipping oil was a wonderful blend of fresh garlic, olive oil & fresh basil.
Our meals came about 12-14 minutes after ordering. I ordered the pan seared scallops in lemon butter sauce which were so fresh tasting I felt like I was on the coast. My meal came with a lovely assortment of grilled vegetables. My son ordered the Angel Hair pasta with pesto sauce. It had just the right amount of basil and Parmesan cheese, and the pasta was perfectly cooked al dente. My spouse ordered the eggplant Parmesan stack which is basically two double-stacked eggplant slices served over spaghetti. The eggplant was breaded and fried crispy and light. It was layered with just the right amount of mozzarella and sauce, so as to maintain the crispy texture and was wonderful!
Because it was Jacob’s 23rd birthday, our server, Eric, brought out a cannoli with a candle and serenaded our son for his birthday.
Overall, our dinner experience was excellent at Scuzzi’s. The service was fabulous, our food was wonderful and the ambiance was amazing and perfect for our little get together.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat amazing food, be catered to with great service; all in a wonderful and comfortable setting.
The food was amazing, but, the service was terrible. We were sat in a back room so no one really paid attention to us, then a party of 19 came in and they were served and met immediately, it was a bit annoying as my party was just as important as theirs. While our waitress was sweet, she was slow, seemed a bit annoyed, and when we got our food it was cold or wrong. One of the people in my party didn't even eat his because he was not given what he asked. I will try it again, but hope for a better experience or I will not be going back
Scuzzi's is delicious! Everything you order is so good! The service is outstanding and the atmosphere very pleasant! The calamari is an appetizer we order every time, it's always cooked perfectly. Also the shrimp Scuzzi's is excellent. Just try it, I promise you'll enjoy it!
Very quiet on a weeknight. Our waiter was very engaging and attentive. The food was as good as Italy. Very authentic. I would definitely go here again.
This was our first opportunity to eat st Scuzzi’s my family took me there to celebrate my birthday We were not disappointed! The food was deliciously fresh and prepared to excellence. Tha staff was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will be back!
This is fast becoming our place to eat. We went this time for our 14 year old's birthday dinner. The food was amazing as always and the service was outstanding. Will be back again.
The restaurant is relaxing and surprisingly quiet. Our table of seven people could actually hold a conversation and hear every word. The food was good bit overpriced, in my opinion. Just the entree - smoked chicken lasagna - was $18. That does not include a side salad or a veggie side. The waiter did not ask me which glass size of wine I wanted, gave me the 9 oz glass - which was $18! I only saw $9 on the menu. I guess I missed there were two sizes. Other than that, our waiter was very good. I probably won't return, specifically because of the prices.
high priced without the service to go with the price. Bathrooms were not clean.
The food was just average. I had shrimp Suzzi and it was over cooked and dark on the bottom. The Tiramisu for dessert was very much not a quality that a good restaurant would be proud of. Over all was disappointing and was over priced for what we got.
Food was really good as always. Service was a little spotty as it was a slow dining room night (there was a large party in the private room). Was not offered a Restaurant Week menu.
Very nice evening with family members.
Great food! This is our go to place to eat with friends and family. Lunch menu is reasonable. The service is great.
Really consistent delicious food
We’ve been to Scuzzies before at a different location. This is a new location and we decided to try it. We loved it. Our server, Blue, was great, and the food excellent. I had linguine with clams. One of the best I’ve ever had. Wine , a good selection, was reasonably priced as well. Just an all around wonderful experience. We will definitely go back.
We were celebrating Father's Day and could talk as the noise level was moderate to low. The food was delicious and the service was very good. The food seems a bit high priced but the quality was excellent.
My husband was the only one who liked his food. My daughter's alfredo had a strange taste to it so she only ate the chicken. My trout was overly charred. My son ordered a pizza and it was just tomato sauce on a nondescript crust with mozzarella cheese. He took only one bite. The cheese was the only part of it that was good. My other son's chicken parmesan was okay. Our server was very good and attentive. The place was relatively empty but they seated another family right behind us so the noise level was a bit higher than we would have liked. On the back of the menu there were lunch specials that it said were seven days a week but after we were seated we were told that since it was Father's Day we had to order off the dinner menu. We have been to both locations of Scuzzi's before and in the past it has been a favorite restaurant. This is the last time we will go. We spent almost $130 for our meal (including tip) and only one of us was happy. Overpriced and below average experience.
The sea bass Scuzzi is delicious and the shrimp Scuzzi are always delicious as well!
Scuzzi's is my absolute FAVORITE Italian restaurant in San Antonio! The service, food and atmosphere are always on point. We have never left disappointed. The dishes are incredible and leave you wanting more.
Very loud. Waitress was sweet, responsive and courteous. Salad was dull and tasted old.
We walked in on a Friday evening at 6:45 and easily got a table. The calamari appetizer was excellent as was the side Caesar salad. The main entrees were okay (tenderloin special and eggplant Parmesan), perhaps because we were already stuffed. Service was great and the staff very friendly. Our waiter was excellent. An overall good experience for a place close to home.
Food was excellent. Service was as well. We wil be back!
The food and service are outstanding!
