   The staff were all amazing, so friendly. The food was beyond delicious. The only negative was the table behind us who let their child be excessively loud, but that is not the fault of the staff.

   We requested a booth under the reservation. When they opened we were nearly first in line and the whole restaurant was empty. The hostess gave only gave us a choice of bar top seating. No option for a table or a booth. The party in back of us were given a booth. That was so frustrating and rude. The hostess had a gray bob with purple highlights. That should of never happened.

   Food was excellent, chicken and waffles was the star of the show. Great atmosphere. Can’t wait to try more there!

   Dinner after Portland Center Stage matinee. I had quartet of veggies, carrots, smoked mushrooms, fried okra and Brussels sprouts. The Huz had sides of catfish and collard greens. We took half of the veggies home for another day. All dishes were superb, so we were glad we over-ordered. Service and ambiance were flawless, as always. .

   A known Portland treasure, this was my wife and I's first visit since moving here 14 years ago. God only knows why it took us so long. My wife ordered a mocktail spritz and the shrimp and grits; I had a grapefruit juice and the chicken and biscuits. Everything was fantastic. The breakfast potatoes may have been the best I've ever had. The sauce on the shrimp and grits was briney like the ocean, a great and bold flavor, even at 9am. The fried chicken was super peppery. We loved everything. Our only disappointment was that our side of praline bacon never arrived... we did not complain because the portions were so significant, we would have only been asking for trouble. We were not charged for the bacon, so no harm no foul I guess. We will be back when we have guests who are looking for a great breakfast place.

   Great breakfast as usual. Good coffee (dark French roast from Portland Coffee Roasters), fantastic cinnamon roll and excellent scramble and benedict. we had a very nice competent and patient wait person.

    Had family over from CA with two young children. We had reservations and was running behind with getting kids out the door and then traffic over the bridge. We informed them we would be late. They had our seats ready. My niece and family enjoyed their breakfast. Service was awesome and a beautiful day on top of that. Always our favourite place to take family visiting from out of town. Our server remembered us from our last visit. Always a great experience when eating here.
