Its not very often I go to a place and before I have even finished have already decided I am going back. That is what you get with Scran, great staff, great atmosphere and above all else great great food.
Great choices of food and drink. Very reasonably priced with great service.

Really enjoyed our first (but definitely not last) visit to Scran. Service was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. We stuck to the traditional Sunday lunch menu. The belly pork and beef were beautifully cooked and the desserts - Yorkshire Mess with rhubarb gin compote and sticky toffee pudding were to die for! We’ll be back.
Absolutely delicious food. Restaurants in Harrogate have been going through a bit of a lean spell in terms of quality but Scran was great in every way. Really enjoyed the £20pp mixture of small plates which included king prawns and steak. Reasonably priced wine list and excellent service. Could not fault it in any way and am looking forward to an excuse to return soon.
Amazing service , atmosphere , food and vibe , by far the best value for great food and venue we have been to for a long time . A definite choice for many more future occasions .If you haven’t been , you are missing out !!! Thanks scran for a brilliant birthday tea 😊👍🥂
We were greeted on arrival and given a choice of tables. Service was excellent. As a table of four we ordered 2 mains and a side each and shared. The food was fantastic and generous portions. We didnt have room for dessert but some great choices so will definitely return very soon.
Overall an excellent visit
Amazing was a really lovely meal. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The atmosphere was really welcoming. The manager is a really lovely man who looked after us really well. Food amazing and the price also

Does not know what it is. Eclectic tapas menu that did not work. Trying to be fine dining with street cool but did not work either. Overall quite disappointing.

We had an excellent evening with beautiful food from a very wide ranging menu. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We would definitely book again in the future.

Music too loud, service very good (didn't give 5 stars as was a little intense and one waiter needs to see a dentist). The food is excellent and amazing value for money (we did early bird). Have been before and will definitely be going again.
We all had a lovely meal but there was a mix up with the bad Santa burger which was quickly rectified love going to Stan the best place for food drink especially the cocktails.
Absolutely amazing food, great service, lovely atmosphere, especially the added bonus of the Swedish choir! Would highly recommend a visit. Chris was really helpful during the booking process. Cannot wait to return in the New Year!
We absolutely loved our dinner at Scran! Would highly recommend - the service was excellent, as was the food and great value for money - I actually checked my bill twice! The desserts were stunning too, thanks so much for a great experience :)
This was our first time at Scran and was a bit disappointed. The food tasted nice but was not hot enough which was not good considering it was not that busy.
The place was fairly quiet so the atmosphere was dull.
So we will give it another go and keep fingers crossed.
The food was excellent and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. All the waiting staff seemed on their first day in the job and we had a few issues ordering the food. That being said, it was still an enjoyable lunchtime experience.
We chose from the set menu which was excellent, 2 plates plus a side dish for £12. Great selection of dishes to choose from, large portions, excellent value for money. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff, would definitely recommend.
Service was very slow, it took at least 15 minutes for us to order. The table next to us was a party of about 15 people and was very noisy. We went for the chef special for £20 a head . The hummus was delicious as a starter but we would have liked more bread and the prawns would have been better at the same time rather than waiting 10 mins between each course. The king prawns were really tasty and spicy . The fish tacos were disappointing but we then also got some nice steak and chips, nicely cooked and served. We got a dessert included which was a nice touch but unfortunately they were far too rich for our taste but for a chocoholic would have been ideal. A nice meal but erratic in its delivery and no sides at all felt a bit lacking.

The service was excellent and the staff who served us all worked so hard to make sure we had a great night... the food was delicious and good value for money. We thought the place was very dark and could do with some nice lighting in the main bar - we werent tempted to stay on for additional drinks for that reason
We ordered field mushrooms with tomatoes however button mushrooms, the main with nduja meatballs had no taste of it at all.overall food quality poor. We informed the manager and we did not pay for our food.

Food and service exceptional, particularly appreciated the friendly approach of the staff and the special dessert to celebrate my father’s birthday- a nice touch.
The little plates to share allowed us all to have a great dinner, with a variety of tastes and cuisines which was really enjoyable. Pricey but worth it
We eat frequently at Scran but were disappointed to find only Sunday roast available on Sunday, with no variation to the exceptional everyday Scran menu. This hasn't happened before and we were sorely disappointed with the Roast, which was thin on meat and thick on veg - but no one wants to eat cauliflower...

Very friendly helpful staff. Good vegetarian selection. Big portions. Great value. Went both nights we were in Harrogate despite lots of other options. Very accommodating. Only downside is it is a bit cold. Could do with some heating.
WE WERE A LARGE GROUP OF MIXED AGES. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT AND CATERED WELL FOR OUR MIXED GROUP. SUNDAY LUNCH FIVE STAR.

Food as usual excellent. Love having different dishes which we prefer to starter and main. Service very good with polite attentive staff. Tables well spaced for a change so had room to move and eat unlike other places. We will return and recommend
OK so it was a busy night last day of world championships... BUT we had been to 2 other restaurants the previous 2 evenings who were busy but we were treated far better. Mediocre is best I could give scran.. We arrived I told them we had a booking there were only 5 tables occupied... The other half of the restaurant was empty... Instead of sitting us on a table for 2 already laid up... They cleaned a booth table next to a group of very loud men... Celebrating their time in Harrogate...
We were not asked were we wanted to sit... And subsequent diners were sat in the quieter area.
We quickly ordered our meal so we could leave as soon as possible... Fishcakes we're not as expected. And lamb shank was mediocre.. But the ambience spoilt our meal... We did not expect the diners to keep the noise down But they could have thought of the best place for couples to sit... Hence paid for our meal no tip... Other than think about your diners!!!!!!
Nice restaurant in Harrogate, food was tasty and delivered in good time.
One slight issue was there was a party going on in the hotel so that is all you could hear in the restaurant.
My new favourite restaurant! Great food with something for all. Busy bar/ seating area for just 2 staff.
As always, great food and great service. everything freshly prepared and so tasty, onion rings are amazing.
