I was thoroughly pleased with brunch. I went with the gluten free egg white omelette and hashbrowns. Super delicious.
Also, tried the avocado deviled eggs.. needed a little pepper but they were a great spin in a southern dish.

The food is good and they have good service. It's usually easy to get into and the have an excellent bar if there is a short wait!
Food was great and service was great! But y’all need to Seriously consider moving the tables that are in the direct sun away from the windows! It was brutal and the table where we were sitting could have easily been moved to the other side next to the bar.
Great location in Oakhurst Village, in Decatur. Wonderful food and ambiance for a celebration dinner.
The appetizers were tasty and fresh. However, the main courses (mostly omelettes) were cold and stale as if they were under a heat lamp waiting for the rest of the order. We were a large party of 8 - I suggest the restaurant bring the eggs as they are done so they are edible as they had all of the makings to be delicious! The experience would have been all 5 stars if the eggs were freshly served.
We had a good time at brunch for friend’s birthday celebration. Food was really good, server was great.
The ONLY downside for our experience was a really really loud group who were dining all the way on the other side of the restaurant. Very distracting. So loud at times, we couldn’t hear one another and had to basically yell to each other across the table. I know the group was having a good time and paying for their good time, just as we were. But it seemed as though they thought they were in a bar on a Saturday night. And not sure it would have necessarily been appropriate for management to say anything to them.
Just relaying my experience, that’s all.

What a hidden gem! Great food and drinks. Perfect for when you’re tired of going to the same restaurants and need something new but didn’t have time to book anything weeks in advance. I also appreciated that they have a menu that gets updated regularly so you don’t get tired of eating the same things.
Everything I had was excellent from the avocado deviled eggs to the crab cakes to the blueberry ricotta pancake, and the mimosa too! Great service at a cool place. Music was a bit louder than I like but that’s really not a big deal. Very enjoyable. I’ll be back.
I liked the ambience at Scout. The front porch area has a beautiful view of the neighborhood. The staff was friendly. The waitstaff would not allow me to sub out the potatoes for the pilaf because it “wouldn’t taste good with the chicken” and I really regretted letting them tell me no. My family member had the pilaf and it was great. My potatoes and all the sides with the chicken were under the chicken and had SO much salt. I thought the sodium for the apps and the meals were very high and unnecessary and everyone at the table who had different dishes agreed. The food quality was good, so could have spoken for itself without the salt — and customers can always add salt, if not. Other than that, the ambience proved for a great place to have a big family meal and I may go back at some point. I would likely request the chef not add so much salt to mine if it isn’t premade.

Excellent brunch with a fantastic waitperson who was extremely attentive. I've been to Scout for dinner, brunch and lunch and it never disappoints. Great food, ambience and a historic building, what's not to like?
It was an especially busy night with the Porchfest in the neighborhood, so the noise level was off the chain but I don’t think it would always s be like this. The food was excellent, all of it. As was the cocktails. It was a great introduction for us and we will definitely return.
Food was not cooked as ordered with well done hangar steak cooked as medium rare and egg ordered over easy cooked hard. Empty Water glasses left unfilled. With some fixes, could be much better.

They should play up the history of the restaurant - a lot of people would appreciate the association with Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital.
Really great dinner at Scout. Our food and drinks were wonderful. The Contender cocktail was perfection and a great start to the meal. Service was paced and appropriate for us but would have been slow if we were in any kind of hurry at all. My crab cakes were very good and full of crabmeat. The sauce and slaw provided a perfect balance and bright note to the rich crab cakes. My husband steak was cooked perfectly and he sighed with delight over the pomme frites with blue cheese sauce. He stopped himself from licking the plate but just barely. We enjoyed our table on the terrace, the lighting and light breeze made everything perfect.
We visited during a boil order from the county and so water wasn’t available. We were offered 25 cent bottled water which was fine but it would have been nice to not been charged and provided with a glass vs drinking from the plastic bottle. It was a very small thing and was the only negative of the night.
Overall was impressed and enjoyed our dinner very much.
I always have an amazing time at Scout. The service was great. The staff is super friendly. My only issue was my chicken was under cooked but they happily made me a new plate and apologized for the mishap. I’ll be back.
Food was good. However Our server had a really funky attitude she was not attentive kept us waiting didn't come to check on us had to ask for everything. The Hostess stepped in and did the job of the server.
Best brunch food in town!! So delicious!! Easy to make a reservation for Sunday brunch and no waiting. We will be going back! What a hidden gem.
This was our fifth time at Scout. Food and service were great, parking was non existent. It was also LOUD. The open curling concept isn’t working well for the noise level.

Great restaurant
Scout is super cute! Very southern and homey decor. The food was delicious, however the grits were cold by the time they reached the table. The drinks were so tasty! Everyone was very happy with what they had for dinner and drinks. The only thing I noticed was that I made a reservation stating it was someone’s birthday party but no one ever said happy birthday. Not a huge deal but something to be mindful of moving forward :)
Pork belly appetizer was good but served cold instead of hot, staff was very stressed out and spread thin, air conditioning was either not working or strained as it was very hot in the restaurant. Great drinks and other food tasted good.
The food and service was amazing. The downside was that the air conditioners couldn’t seem to keep up with the high temps. We were breaking out in a sweat just sitting at a table. Makes it hard to really enjoy the ambiance.
Perfect brunch spot before everyone headed out of town. All of our meals were delicious.
Loved our brunch on the patio at Scout! Ariel was the best server we’ve had there yet. Good to know their patio is dog friendly as well.
