It was delicious food!! The service was fantastic and it was a lovely evening. Highly recommend!!
Excellent food and service. Amazing ambiance, especially during daylight hours. Such a bright and inviting space!
Not as good as usual. Steak was lukewarm,
Almost cold. Fries were over seasoned.
Scout was perfect for our first get together of the New Year. The food was delicious, the drinks were tasty and strong, and the service was awesome! Will definitely be going back.
I’m so pleased to have such a nice option close to home. Best old fashioned in town. Food great. Server knowledgeable. On this occasion it was NY Eve so the experience was imperfect. But overall still very enjoyable.
I enjoyed my appetizer, entree, and dessert, though the entree was a bit cold and the potatoes seemed a bit undercooked. The flavor of the chicken, however, was amazing! Would love to try again for brunch.
Great New Year's Eve experience. Regular menu as well as New Years special 3 courses. Prices were very good for quality of food. I will definitely be returning soon.
Loud and lively atmosphere, not good for personal conversations, but good for groups. Brunch was excellent and they had crayons ready at the table for our kids. Appreciated how they had everything set up for us!
We loved the food and it was a great place to bring our five-year-old. We were not lucky with our waitress who seemed all over the place and told my husband she could not understand his accent. He's from Argentina, has been in the US for over twelve years and works at an American company where everyone understands him, so that was kind of unsettling. Other than that we loved the place!
Started with devilled eggs and mussels. Both great. The burger with that mustard sauce was cooked perfectly and tasted divine.
We visit Scout quite often but last night the service was just off. It took forever to get drinks, to place our order and when one of our apps came out with a nasty separated cheese sauce, the server disappeared when he was supposed to be getting a replacement. The food was delicious and the drinks were great but the service could definitely use some polishing.
Family in town. A great place to gather. Yummy food.
Food was decent but service was poor. Server took 15 mins to greet the table and didn’t seem interested in checking in to see how our food was or if we needed anything. The restaurant was out of a few dishes on the brunch menu. My girlfriend ended up having a hair in her pancakes. The manager seemed disengaged but did comp the “hairy” pancakes.
Great service and the cocktails are wonderfully complex. Everyone enjoyed the food. I will be back.
Scout has a relaxed atmosphere in an architecturally interesting old building. The menu had a fairly wide selection of small plates, sandwiches, and mains; all four people at our table were pleased with the options. Delicious meals and nice cocktails, too.
We enjoyed our evening at Scout very much.
I went with a friend for a holiday brunch. Staff was very attentive and no one rushed us out. Very nice time. We both had the crabcakes and they were very good.
I was thoroughly pleased with brunch. I went with the gluten free egg white omelette and hashbrowns. Super delicious.
Also, tried the avocado deviled eggs.. needed a little pepper but they were a great spin in a southern dish.
Ariel, our service, was EXCELLENT! She complimented the overall experience.
Sonia was great!!!!
Delicious, craft-oriented food and drink. Very impressed. Will be my go-to brunch spot when I am in Atlanta.
As usual, good food and poor service.
The food is good and they have good service. It's usually easy to get into and the have an excellent bar if there is a short wait!
Food was great and service was great! But y’all need to Seriously consider moving the tables that are in the direct sun away from the windows! It was brutal and the table where we were sitting could have easily been moved to the other side next to the bar.
Great location in Oakhurst Village, in Decatur. Wonderful food and ambiance for a celebration dinner.
The appetizers were tasty and fresh. However, the main courses (mostly omelettes) were cold and stale as if they were under a heat lamp waiting for the rest of the order. We were a large party of 8 - I suggest the restaurant bring the eggs as they are done so they are edible as they had all of the makings to be delicious! The experience would have been all 5 stars if the eggs were freshly served.
We had a good time at brunch for friend’s birthday celebration. Food was really good, server was great.
The ONLY downside for our experience was a really really loud group who were dining all the way on the other side of the restaurant. Very distracting. So loud at times, we couldn’t hear one another and had to basically yell to each other across the table. I know the group was having a good time and paying for their good time, just as we were. But it seemed as though they thought they were in a bar on a Saturday night. And not sure it would have necessarily been appropriate for management to say anything to them.
Just relaying my experience, that’s all.
It was our first time there and we had a great time, we will definitely go back.
What a hidden gem! Great food and drinks. Perfect for when you’re tired of going to the same restaurants and need something new but didn’t have time to book anything weeks in advance. I also appreciated that they have a menu that gets updated regularly so you don’t get tired of eating the same things.
Everything I had was excellent from the avocado deviled eggs to the crab cakes to the blueberry ricotta pancake, and the mimosa too! Great service at a cool place. Music was a bit louder than I like but that’s really not a big deal. Very enjoyable. I’ll be back.
I liked the ambience at Scout. The front porch area has a beautiful view of the neighborhood. The staff was friendly. The waitstaff would not allow me to sub out the potatoes for the pilaf because it “wouldn’t taste good with the chicken” and I really regretted letting them tell me no. My family member had the pilaf and it was great. My potatoes and all the sides with the chicken were under the chicken and had SO much salt. I thought the sodium for the apps and the meals were very high and unnecessary and everyone at the table who had different dishes agreed. The food quality was good, so could have spoken for itself without the salt — and customers can always add salt, if not. Other than that, the ambience proved for a great place to have a big family meal and I may go back at some point. I would likely request the chef not add so much salt to mine if it isn’t premade.
Excellent meal and excellent service! Scout never disappoints.
Excellent brunch with a fantastic waitperson who was extremely attentive. I've been to Scout for dinner, brunch and lunch and it never disappoints. Great food, ambience and a historic building, what's not to like?
Poor service! The waitress had a major attitude because, I suspected, she was overworked due to the enormous amount of traffic as a result of Gay Pride weekend. I sympathize with her, but my girlfriend and I had a crapy exam as a result. I don't anticipate patronizing this restaurant in the future.
It was an especially busy night with the Porchfest in the neighborhood, so the noise level was off the chain but I don’t think it would always s be like this. The food was excellent, all of it. As was the cocktails. It was a great introduction for us and we will definitely return.
Food was not cooked as ordered with well done hangar steak cooked as medium rare and egg ordered over easy cooked hard. Empty Water glasses left unfilled. With some fixes, could be much better.
Birthday brunch. Superb food wonderful service
Great hostess and servers, food came quickly and was delicious. Family friendly with fabulous food and great service, really can't beat it in Oakhurst! Great experience. Thanks Scout - you know what your neighborhood wants!
We have had the same server three times and all have been terrible. Other than that, Scout is amazing!
We just tried bunch here for the first time and it was delicious!
