This was a birthday occasion and wait staff was very kind and attentive. The meal was fine but a little slow. Seating was cozy near the window and the nearby piano music was perfect.
Calamari appetizer..... the best..... doesn't taste like a mass produced deep-fried kids item.
It tasted like each piece was hand made and carefully hand cooked....it was that good!
I'm 65, with just an average amount of restaurant experience, and usually am dissapointed with either the 6 oz filet or the 6 oz lobster tail. Was not dissapointed with either. I asked for medium rare and that's what I got and it was tender and tasty. The tail was not over cooked which is what usually disappoints me and it wasn't under cooked; it was amazing, it was substantial probably pushing the upper boundary of 6 oz. I wasn't left feeling 'wish it was bigger'.
The chocolate cake was too saturated in strawberry jelly like liquid; way too saturated. They should have reduced it (made it thicker) and poured it around the outsides after the cake was
placed. I asked for coffee but did not get it.
We spent three hours there celebrating daughter's birthday with seven of her friends. The lighting was perfect, down low and they brought a dessert lit with a candle and toof a few pics
of their own and fashioned it into a birthday card which was very nice. They need a better camera; I just got a beautiful camera for my daughter's birthday along with a stellar classic lens
that took draw dropping photos before the dinner, and when I seen the orange-ish pics I thought what I thought.
I "pre-vailed" at my attempt to have everyone starved so they could appreciate Scott's diverse menu and enjoy an appetizer, a main course and a rich dessert and the total for nine was nine hundred; just right for nine hungry, thirsty people included a bottle of wine a mixed drink, a half dozen virgin drinks.
It was a rich experience and would do it again.
Very pleasant meal - service- view!!!
It had been a few years since my last visit to Scott’s. The food was good, not excellent, our waiter was very attentive and provided great service and the view was beautiful. However, I was so disappointed by the way the hostess and manager treated us when we arrived. They didn’t smile and both were unfriendly and unwelcoming. For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to friends or family.
food very good service even better (Jorge the waiter a real pro) loud little kids a distraction undetectable odor in dining room, couldn't put my finger on what it was (soiled carpet maybe)
all and all very nice ..
Outstanding! Scott’s remains one of my favorite restaurants. Everything is outstanding.
Fabulous. Excellent service from the hostess to the waiters.
It was a lovely restaurant. The atmosphere was great, our server was very friendly. We truly enjoyed our experience.
Our server was so nice and industrious. The view was so lovely and we would come back again.
Food was good, loved the ambiance with the view of the harbor. Service was awesome.
The food was just ok. The pictures look better than it actually taste.
Good food, real Bay Area bread, pampering service staff, life going by on the Estuary, hear one another across the table, room for dessert--aaaaah!
I requested for a table close to the window and got it for a party of 8. Awesome service and food!
We always enjoy Scott’s for the view and great service. This visit we enjoyed salmon and sole. There was a strange chemical odor where we sat. Distracted from the atmosphere.
Wonderful ambiance , superb service and delicious food. Our dinner was memorable at Scott’s . Thank you.
We love to come here my husband and I for great food and fun time
Great food! Great staff!
Sadly they didn’t seem prepared for a Valentines Day crowd at all. There was no distinction between customers with reservations and walk-ins. There was no communication to the customers about how that operation was supposed to work the customers just kinda communicated with one another about it. There was just one long wrapping line in a small crowded lobby area. We had an 8pm reservation and got seated at 9pm. The wait staff looked worn out and tired. Our waiter didn’t tell us anything about the menu but just asked what we wanted. Several of the menú items were unavailable so that really limited choices which cheapened the experience. The waiter brought me the wrong plate and gave it to someone else, I’m pretty sure he also brought my plate from someone else because the food was cold and he didn’t bring it from the kitchen. My wife’s food was cold as well and they were supposed to give her crab legs but gave her a couple small pieces of what looked like leftover crabmeat scraps. If that wasn’t bad enough, a few of the wait staff was just standing around staring at us for most of the night... that’s interesting because I never got or was even offered a refill on my drink; that glass of sprite I paid $5 for! To top it all off we had to ask for our bill and no one even bothered to ask if we wanted dessert. Tonight was a major failure and it was overly clear that the wait staff and chefs were tired and just no longer in the mood to uphold the standards established by Scott’s.
Lobster ravioli came in not as hot as I would like. The sautéed seafood was good though. But they forgot my drink & I have to ask it again. The service was good though.
Valentine’s Day was an absolute nightmare. After waiting 20 mins to check in for our reservation, we got sat in a cold, drafty room. 15 mins goes by before some bus guy asks for our drink orders. Another 15 mins goes by before he realizes he still hasn’t grabbed them. Long story short, my date and I ended up leaving after speaking to the manager who, as kind as he was, didn’t seem to be able to handle the restaurant. We were regular patrons here, but, sadly we will find a new date spot.
I’m not sure if they made a mistake and over booked the place but I don’t recommend it for Valentines night. Grant it we were there exactly at 7:30pm which was the time of our reservation but the reservation line was ridiculous. Then we weren’t even in the main restaurant. I believe they sat us in the reception area where they have events. They set the area up with fold out tables, I can’t remember if it allowed us to select what area to sit in when I made the reservation but regardless I didn’t think we wouldn’t be in the main room at all! And our steaks were over cooked. I just think they reserved way too many people, a medium steak had no pink. I think this place is great, service is great but just not the place for Valentines night especially because if your spending a good chunk of money you expect something better.
We go every Valentines Day. Even though the restaurant is crazy busy . The service and food are always excellent .
The atmosphere and the service were excellent. The food was very good but should be exceptional for the price. Overall though we had an enjoyable valentine’s dinner.
Food was unsatisfactory. The filet was burnt, the sole looked like scrambled eggs and tasted like it and everything else was just overly fried.
The server was nice but seemed inexperienced. The place is just overpriced with a menu that doesn’t seem like it has change for 20 years
as older Sea Wolf customers we continue to enjoy Scott's as our special spot in our lives
The food was pretty terrible, especially for Valentine's Day. I have done memories of Scott's from childhood, but the quality of the restaurant has not persisted through the years. My boyfriend and I were really disappointed. The service was terrible and it took forever for our server to come to the table for the order and to check on us.
Incredible Valentines! I was the hero to my wife and 17 Year old daughter for scheduling such a perfect restaurant. Loved the food, wonderful combo band, attentive staff. The restaurant had set up a free photo area, each of us received an instant portrait as a memory. We are looking forward to Valentines 2019 along with a few visits between now and then. Thank you Scott's-
We took our 2 yr old niece to dinner with us last night (Sunday) and really appreciated the busser making her a cup from a to-go soup container with a lid. He punched a hole in the lid, added a straw and suddenly we had a child friendly cup. The food is always fresh and yummy - the yelp check in deal where you get a free bottle of wine is awesome (though I recommend the red unless you like really tart Chardonnay). Never disappointed with Scotts.
WAY Overpriced brunch buffet for what you actually get. Disappointing
