Birthday celebration. Having lunch. Our waiter was wonderful!
The server was great
The food and environment was perfect
Hope to come back soon
One of our favorite spots
Scott's has been a longtime favorite of my family. Our most recent trip was just one more reason we love it. As always service was top notch Barbara Vernon, the manager is a great leader. She is always in the middle of things, and never hesitates to step in to lend a hand. I admire her. We ordered four different items from the menu. They all arrived at the same time, all hot and everything was delicious. Use Open Table for your reservation to be assured a table. Go to Scott's, eat, drink, Enjoy.
My husband and I celebrated "Friday" here, and had a wonderful time. The staff is very friendly, the food (we both had fish) was very good and the ambiance with appropriate Christmas decorations was very festive.
We both thought we would have to get back there again soon.
Perfect place to celebrate my birthday. The staff from Host to Lounge to restaurant all treat you as s VIP.
I had a date with my friends and it was a good experienced! We definitely love the place and the foods are excellent!
This continues to be one of our favorites for water front eating. Great food and service, very enjoyable experience.
We love going to Scott’s for Thanksgiving dinner. The staff is great, food is well prepared and the “old fashioned” Christmas decorations. Live music is always a fun addition.
Scott’s is an Oakland tradition and a bit old school, but we still often find ourselves there for holiday meals or special occasions. While the restaurant (and the entire Jack London area) has slipped from its heyday in the 1990s and the Oughts, Scott’s still has a homey feel to it and provides a nice space for a quiet meal and/or a drink or two. Buyer be warned, they serve “turkey roll” on Thanksgiving and Christmas. So just stick to the seafood and you’ll be fine. Enjoy!
Excellent! Totally impressed with quality of service and food on a busy Hoiiday.
I decided to go to Scott’s for Thanksgiving. I was not disappointed at all. The server, Ian, was polite, friendly, professional. Food was great and portion size was good. Price was acceptable. I’m looking forward to going again.
This was our 4th visit to Scott's and again they did not disappoint. We had a 1:30 reservation and arrived a little bit early. We were seated almost immediately. I highly recommend the calamari appetizer and the clam chowder. They are both amazing! The cioppino was very good as was the seafood dish my husband had. Gilbert was an excellent waiter. The lady and gentleman that assisted him were very good too. I highly recommend Scott's!
We went to Scott's for Thanksgiving lunch. This review focuses on one entry in particular: cioppino. Wow! It came with a cheesy toasted slice of sourdough and 1/4 Dungeness crab on top and was filled with clams, mussels, two kinds of fish, shrimp, scallops, and mushrooms, all in a spicy broth. Two of us shared one order and we took home enough leftovers for another meal for one. It was the best and most hearty cioppino we've ever had.
Great service, food and view. The seating was great we enjoyed the afternoon.
Very expensive. Food just ok. Weird smell in restaurant and over looking the industrial side of water.
Service was very helpful and professional; we have moved away but find that Scott's is still a go to place.
Tired place that needs to be remodeled. The buffet is expensive ($75), but food choices were limited, and some choices were mediocre. Previous experiences at other Scott's have been much better.
The food and service was great. Celebrated my 2 friends birthday with the Sunday brunch. It was perfect. The surprise picture, roses and dessert was such a lovely gesture. I look follow to celebrating many more birthdays with my friends there.
The people that work there are great, the drinks were good but the food was not. My risotto came with a baked crust on top, appeared to have sat under the heat lamp too long. The halibut cheeks were tough and chewy. My husband had the lobster thermidor was gray and seemed to have gravy over it, Expensive for what it was.
We love coming here for brunch. Lovely menu! Sherrill our waitress was terrific! Will come back again!
Awesome! Best seafood evr
Food and service great, but long time between end of meal and birthday rose.
Scott’s quality of food is the BEST and consistent! I came all the way from DC just for Scott’s!!! Thank you, Nicolle James
We had a very nice lunch. The price was high.It was still enjoyable.
Pricey, but worth it for the service and the view. They have a cute tradition for birthdays. The food is solidly good, but the recipes are tired. As such, the prices are a bit high for the food. Great cocktails. Overall a very plush experience.
After a long hiatus, we decided to have an early Sunday dinner here. The place was gorgeous. All decked out for the holidays with lot's of lights and holiday ornaments. Definitely a Wow factor. The live piano player added to the ambiance.
They sat us along the window with a view of the marina. It was a great start, made even better when the check in reward was a bottle of wine. The server could only say it was a house California wine. It ended up being a Geyser Peak Chardonnay. Totally acceptable.
They brought nice sourdough bread and water immediately. My wife decided on the Alaskan King Crab and I chose the Prime Rib special. The food came quickly. The Clam chowder was good. The flavor quite good but not enough clams. Not overly starchy. The crab arrived and while some of the pieces were fine, some were also barely thawed out. Someone was not paying attention in the kitchen. We brought the cold pieces how to warm up.
I ordered my PR medium rare. IT came out brown on top and when I turned it upside down, there were burned portions that I ended up tasting. They obviously didn't put it into a warming oven but instead put it on a flattop or under a broiler and overcooked the meat. After complaining to the server he offered to replace the meat but I didn't want to go through that. He instead brought us an extra dessert.
I think this failure on the entrees indicate the lack of sufficient oversight in the kitchen. Both of our entrees should not have been allowed to be served.
Come for the ambiance, not the food.
Sunday Brunch was good but I don’t think it was worth the price.
The service is fantastic. The servers rarely let my coffee cup and mimosa glass be empty. The oysters were great and the buffet was always stocked.
Scott's is our go-to place in Oakland because the food - especially seafood - is outstanding as is the service We love to get a table overlooking the Bay but even tables further back are fine. This is not an inexpensive restaurant but you have to pay for good food and service. Parking is also fine. There is a lot next-door and usually free close-by parking
I thought the food was VERY pricey for what is was.
I am a repeat diner. I always enjoy Scott's. The food is superb, the presentation first rate.
Wonderful place food was delicious and the service was absolutely great
We celebrated our granddaughters 18th birthday. It was a very nice evening.
We celebrated our Anniversary and went to a concert after. Our waiter, not sure if it was Mike or Mikie was awesome!! Great service!! He gave us a framed picture, raspberry sorbet on smoking ice (cool presentation) and a rose to help us celebrate! It was very sweet!
We went there for my hubby's birthday dinner. Service was exceptional and we really enjoyed the steak/lobster tail ,and ravioli. The calamari and pop shrimp appetizers were delicious too. We got free dessert when the staff learned it was hubby's birthday. They even took our pictures, printed them and brought them to us with a handwritten birthday card. Our server was very attentive and helpful the whole time. Great experience and will definitely be back.
Smelled like a fuel dock.
We went for my dads birthday and had a great time. They took the cake we brought and made it into a display. Such great service and food!
