   I chose Scott's on the assumption it was still owned by the same company as Horatio's in San Leandro and would offer a slightly different seafood menu. I felt the crab cakes appetizer, while predictably delicious, was overpriced. Most surprising and disappointing was being overcharged for the purchase of an entire key lime pie. At $9 a slice and six slices per pie, I shouldn't have been charged $65. When calling today to confirm that price, I was told they "don't sell whole pies". Yet, I have gotten the same item for $45, at the very most. Overall, while the entree and service were good, it was still a disappointment. At this point, I doubt I'll be returning anytime soon.

   Sorry we were ten minutes late, but still had to wait ten minutes for our table. My lady wasn’t good with the green beans.. undercooked, U had the Cioppino had small pice of crab shell; but is a shell dish. Very Good Though.

   Our family gathering of 8 people ranged from middle school age to 96 year old. Service was prompt and friendly, food was delicious and fresh, and the manager went out of her way to help us celebrate with a birthday sorbet and photo memento. They know how to handle a large party without fuss.

    This was a special evening for six family members who hadn't been together for 15 years. Service of food to the table was extremely slow between the salad and main course. And instead of talking about all the things we wanted to, we were talking about bad service and looking around for our waitperson. We had to remind the wait person we had requested some anchovies for the Cesaer salad and ask for more hot water for two people who wanted it. On the positive, every person was friendly and professional. At the end, I checked the bill and saw a double charge of $34.00 for the calamari main dish. I had to look around again for our waitperson. She was very apologetic and reprinted the bill correctly. And yes, the maitre d was very kind and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine on our way out. Your people are really good people, the food is good, but they're short staffed and it lowered our enjoyment of this event significantly. And especially painful was that we had celebrated my parents 70 wedding anniversary at Scott's with a large private party five years before. We want you guys to make it! Thanks for listening.

    We had a really lovely lunch today at Scott's. The clam chowders were hot and delicious. I had a Bay Shrimp Louie that was cold and crisp with lots of yummy shrimp. My friend had the crab and avocado salad that is prepared as a stack. White wines were perfectly chilled. Service was outstanding. The views and weather were perfect.

    We use to have a boat at Jack London Square and ate at Scott's at least once a month! We sold our boat and now live in San Francisco so it has been at least six years since we have eaten at Scott's! We had our children and grandchildren with us for lunch yesterday and we all agreed that both the service and food were great! It was like coming home for a visit and we all enjoyed being there and decided we won't wait so long to come back!

    I had not been to Scotts for dinner in quite a few years, but both my husband and myself were pleasantly surprised to find the ambiance was wonderful for Valentine's day. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. The place was full of patrons, but as soon as we were seated both bread and water were delivered to our table. My husband had the chippino and said that it was delicious, I had swordfish and it was wonderful! We will be returning for dinner again soon!

    Well, talk about a Valentine’s Day fiasco! My husband and I received a gift certificate to Scott’s as a wedding gift last September. We were so excited to use it for Valentine’s Day! I made reservations six weeks in advance and booked a waterside room at the Waterfront Hotel (great place to stay, btw). Reservations were for 7. We walked in at about 6:20 and waited about 10 minutes in a line while the hostess attended to those in front of us. No problem, cause it was a busy night. There was a jazz piano guy playing, the place looked amazing, and we were ready for a fun night! The hostess looked up our reservation and checked us in. I told her we would be in the bar til our table was ready. She curtly said “I highly suggest you get in this line to be seated. “ 😕. Ok, so another 10 minutes and they take us way around to a back dinning area and seat us in the middle of the roomThere were open tables by the window and I asked if we could sit in one of those, but was told no, those are for people with reservations. 🤨. Ok, another 10 minutes, the waiter asks for our drink order. My husband orders a Manhattan, and I a Strawberry Margarita on the rocks, no salt. Our drinks finally came, the Manhattan had two maraschino cherries and I got a lime margarita. The waiter was finally ready to take our order. Very expensive menu. NO SUBSTITUTIONS. i wanted regular mashed potatoes, not garlic mashed potatoes. 😒. Ok. I ordered a different dinner with regular mashed potatoes and a crab, avocado salad. My husband ordered his dinner and an order of oysters. The oyster came on a tray of ice that was 8 inches high and at least 8 inches by 12 inches wide with six oysters no bigger than a dime! Really! We actually laughed at how ridiculous it looked! 40 more minutes go by, I flag down our waiter and ask about our food. They gave it to someone else! We asked for the manager. He offered to comp our dinner, but we left after 2 hours, crappy drinks and no dinner. 😖

    The food was incredibly delicious as usual. Our waiter (who's name I forgot) was so attentive but not bothering you. Our table was by the window which allowed up to have a view of the waterfront and San Francisco off in the distant. It was a beautiful day to be out and about. Dessert was to die for! Loved it all.

    I have come here numerous times, one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Last night I ordered cioppino, one of several times I have had one of my favorite dishes. This time it was just right. I like some spice in cioppino and there were a couple of times when it was a little bland. Keep this version going!
