Scott's at Jack London Square is a great place for lunch. Always excellent food, great service, and lovely views of the Bay.
All staff we encountered were professional, welcoming & friendly. Appears that Scott's was understaffed that evening. My food was luke warm and spinach undercooked, watery and tasteless. But, our waiters were diligent & provided good service. I applaud & appreciate the diversity reflected in your staffing. It is a true microcosm of the East Bay re: age, ethnicity, gender & LGBT. I would rate you as exceptional in this area. I live in Hayward and 90% of staffing in all facilities & venues reflects one ethnic group!
First time at Scott’s Seafood, it was very nice. The Streak Calamari & Blackened Salmon were excellent. The overall setting of the restaurant was very outstanding. Will surly be visiting again for dinner.
We had to wait quite a while before our server came. However, once she knew we had to be done by a certain time, her service was excellent!
Absolutely loved it, it was for my wife 60th birthday and they did a great job surprising us with an awesome desert.
Fair experience. I expected a bit more of the good.
We all loved our cocktails and our meals. Loved the festive holiday decor!
All dinners were excellent except the Chicken ... there was only a small leg!
Always a fantastic meal.
Only negative comment was the window tables were packed too tightly together. Hard to get in and chairs.
Katherine our waiter was spot on. Good wait staff makes it feel like a real dining experience. She created this for a special birthday dinner. Thank you.
Beautiful dinner just as sun was setting...excellent service, wine selection and entrees were brilliant!
Scott's is always a favorite place to celebrate a special occasion or perfect if we need to spend a nice afternoon or evening together!
We've been here many times and usually order appetizers, salad, entrée and dessert, but this time we only ordered entrees, because we stopped at another local restaurant for filling appetizers. My wife ordered the salmon club which was very good and I ordered the New York steak which was also very good and cooked as ordered. Service was excellent, as always, and we always ask for a window seat to look out at the Estuary. WE will definitely return again. The only downside, and it's not Scott's fault (necessarily), was the overindulgent Grandmother and Grandchild sitting next to us, playing a car racing game down the menu, saying LOUDLY together, once every ten seconds, "ONE, TWO, THREE, GO!" WHY does ANYONE think OTHER diners want to "enjoy" their children/grandchildren at a NICE restaurant (or any restaurant, for that matter)? SO RUDE! I gave the ambience 5 stars, based on past visits but unfortunately it didn't actually deserve it on this visit.
We had the BEST experience at Scott’s for Thanksgiving dinner. The manager comped our pre-dinner cocktail because we were reseated prior to ordering... it was not a problem at all... we ended up in a window seat that was intimate and perfect for the two of us. Food was excellent and service was above and beyond! We love Scott’s for special occasions.
Scott's was an excellent choice to celebrate Thanksgiving ! Although the restaurant was sold out our table was ready for us exactly when our reservation was at 6:00pm. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the ambiance. The lighting was perfect and romantic actually. Our food (we both ordered the turkey special for $60 each) was outstanding and it included two slices of pumpkin pie. The turkey was great and the stuffing was outstanding ! I highly recommend Scott's for any occasion !
Slow service. My wife asked to hold the stuffing and only white meat, no problem I will take care of that for you. She got stuffing white meat and dark meat, hid the stuffing under the meat. Guess they thought she had no idea what she wanted.
When desert was going to be brought to the table, waited 15 min and finally flagged down the waiter and told him not to bother just bring the check. So he brought the desert and the check
They don't seem to be able to follow instructions
The appetizers came out the same time as the main course. The appetizers were barely warm and the main course cool. We had to ask for drink and bread refills. We also had to ask for dirty dishes to be removed. The meal for 6 people was over $400. I wouldn't dine again on a holiday.
Thanksgiving Day Lunch—Scott’s really came through!
Enjoyed another wonderful Thanksgiving meal! The stuffing, with raisins, was out-of-this-world. Spicy Bloody Mary was a great compliment
Not very good. Certainly has gone downhill over the years. I would not go back.
Wonderful food at a cozy table overlooking the boats! We had the Sunday night prime rib dinner special which actually outdid the same meal we had in London at Rules (except for the popovers — it’s an art). Our waitress was attentive and a sparkling conversationalist.
Came all the way from New Mexico to have brunch on Sunday. I used to live in Alameda and always wanted to go to Scott I finally got to go. Everything was yummy we started out at the bar it was so much fun and had a wonderful brunch.
Nice restaurant for a small group, but too noisy for a business group of 7 that hoped to have a little work conversation over dinner. Food was good. Staff attentive, though it took a while for the food to arrive. The sourdough bread helped to stave off hunger.
We had dinner on a Wednesday night. The food was just average with high prices and service was extremely slow.
Very Disappointing. This is supposed to be an upscale seafood restaurant, but they don't have premium bourbons (no Eagle Rare, Blanton's, Basil Hayden's, Angel Envy, Makers 46, etc.; nothing better than regular ordinary Maker's Mark), the bread was stale, and neither of us liked our entree. My andouille-crusted catfish was mushy and the andouille crust was so skimpy as to be worthless. Her calamari steak had some sort of weird broth flavoring that was pretty much inedible. This is a chain and I know that not all Scott's Seafood restaurants are this crummy. I think maybe the tourist-trap location might be responsible for them letting their vigilance slip. In any case, the next time I'm dining in Jack London Square it'll be at one of the other nearby places.
I normally love Scott's Seafood but after I got home last night I was soooooo sick. Up all night. Won't be back for awhile and certainly won't have the Seafood Saute.
Would not recommend. Not worth the money
Sunday Brunch great spread and good service. Pricey though. But one gets what one pays for. Paying for the elegance and ambiance.
Honestly, for the $70.00 per person price, there are much better brunch buffets. The views are wonderful and the service was excellent. The food was, well, lackluster. Not an enormous buffet, but enough. The deserts were bleh. I suspect frozen and thawed for service. The smoked salmon didn’t taste smoked at all.
At some point the place became very “low rent” and the outfits reflected that. I mean, is it that hard to put on a collar for a meal, or are you so attached to your “Raiders” jersey that you can’t bear to part for the sake of others experience?
Glad we went, but will skip it next time.
This restaurant is well run from the manager Barbara. The food is great the views are awesome. I highly recoomend for all occasions and before or after ALL sporting events and concerts in the area.
Great meal in Jack London Square. Would definitely go back. Thanks JZ
Great service! We decided to come here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and didn't mention to them until our waiter asked us. When we asked for our check, she said she was going to bring us something for our anniversary. She brought us dessert, gave us a rose and also took a picture for us which they framed for us. It was unexpected! Loved the idea.
Food was delicious as well. Very flavorful.
Had lunch at Scott's Seafood. Food was good but the prices for lunch were outrageous. Entrees ranging from $30+ to $60+. Really should have separate lunch menus with reasonable choices.
We loved our meal, it was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere it was perfect.
The waitress messed up on a couple of things but she fixed it quickly.
Loved it and will be back again!
Had a great dinner-view was perfect and dinner was amazing! Service was top notch!
From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty! We had never been here before and went to celebrate my husbands birthday. Not only did they give him a complimentary birthday dessert, they also gave him a rose to give to me, gave us each a complimentary glass of champagne, gave him a rose to give to me and took our picture and gave us copies! We were blown away! But the food was amazing! The seafood was so fresh! I have never had halibut that good before! We will be back for sure!
Wonderful seafood in a casual setting with a view of the bay. Somewhat pricey.
