Scott's Restaurant - Walnut Creek Ratings and Reviews
I stood around for 5 minutes waiting for someone to seat me. The hostess was unsmiling & seemed a little put out. The waiter, on the other hand, was very pleasant, efficient, polite. Also, high marks for the valet attendant who helped my elderly dining companion into her car.
My boyfriend and I came here for the sunday jazz brunch for our anniversary and we're going to make it an annual tradition. The food was outstanding, especially the unlimited mimosas, and the service was amazing. Our glasses were never empty and even though the server didn't have to serve us our food, she checked on us plenty of times. The jazz band was great as well.
My husband and I go to Scotts for dinner. I was going to be meeting a friend for brunch and we decided on Scott's. Excellent choice! Great brunch buffet. I normally do not like buffets but the food was so delicious I'm looking forward to another Sunday brunch . Great job Scotts!
Scott’s is one of our favorites before attending one of the musicals we have tickets for at the Lescher. They offer 15% off on the back of the tix or often have a coupon for $15 off. But, the real reason is the delicious Cioppino they offer with Dungeness crab, prawns, clams, scallops and other fish! Served in a charming handled copper pan with garlic bread, it is warm, filling and simply delicious. Service is professional and attentive. Beautiful ambiance but can get a bit noisy. Live music!
We waited for 30 minutes to be seated even though we had made a reservation and then another 45 minutes for our food. Over an hour in total!! There was no menu for kids either which was disappointing - I wish I'd known that ahead of time - I made an assumption which was a mistake on my part. In future I would avoid this restaurant on a Saturday night peak hours. It was my husbands birthday and he loves seafood so he was happy enough!!
This was my first time at the Walnut Creek Scott’s. My girlfriend and I were celebrating our one month anniversary and, my first time eating out since finding out I have to eat gluten free. The service was great and our waitress was attentive and very accommodating to my eating needs. She and the florist helped me surprise my lady with a dozen roses delivered to our table. The food, service and atmosphere made this a special night at an outstanding restaurant.
We have been going there since the seventies when they first opened, as a couple, with friends, for business and fund raisers. Except on a very rare occasion, the service has been very good and the manager has apologized profusely and comped either drinks or appetizers.
Scott's is my go-to restaurant when I'm in the mood for great food and great service in an elegant setting. They have been consistently great for many years. Whenever I want a special night out, they are the first restaurant I think of. I would like them to offer a self parking option (though valet is free). I just don't like other people driving my car. They said that that is the outcome of parking changes in Walnut Creek. Trips into Walnut Creek in general are becoming annoying.
Fabulous Sunday Brunch. Excellent variety! Enjoyed the Wild Alaskan King Crab and all varieties of Eggs Benedict. Outstanding server, Dio, together with an exceptional manager on duty, Seth, made the dining experience memorable for a milestone birthday celebration. Kudos to the kitchen the food was cooked to perfection. Restaurant was spotless! We will be back very soon!
I've been to Scotts a few times. Food is good and well prepared (albeit a little on the pricey side). For the price and my previous experience, I expected a higher degree of service. Waiter was overworked covering too many tables. We noticed the slow service and less than attentive approach we should have gotten. Goes to the "value" and for what Scotts is trying to sell for a WC restaurant they need to make sure their staff isn't stretched so far. Service could have been better.
This was a wonderful restaurant. We were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday, and it was a great choice for that. Only complaint was that my filet was chewy, but I didn’t complain and I know they would have accommodated me if I had. My boyfriend’s filet was excellent, though. I’d still recommend it.
Food was good. Ciopinno was very good. Sauted seafood was nicely cooked. Grilled salmon was cooked properly, but was served with different side dishes than ordered. Piano was way too loud . Server was generally unavailable the entire meal. We had to flag her down several times.
It is a good restaurant, food, environment; however, too busy to provide good service. In the bar, they lost my credit card (found after excessive search), as an apology I got second glass of wine, but no one asked if I want that much alcohol. I didn’t want it. One glass is usually enough for me. It would make more sense if they won’t charge me for the glass I bought.
As a frequent diner st Scott’s, I was hugely disappointed this time. I was there for lunch, the restaurant was near empty, and the food was awful. The hamburger had a lot of gristle and the Bay shrimp sandwich was watery and unable to eat as a sandwich. The clam chowder, which is usually good, tasted pasty and warmed up in a microwave. What a disappointment.
We went there for brunch to celebrate my son's fiance's birthday. It was great - the staff was really friendly and helpful. They made her feel very special on her birthday - in addition to a creme brulee with a candle for dessert, they gave her a long stemmed red rose. We ate in the outdoor patio, near the water feature, and it was lovely. The food was great - my son is a vegetarian and he was able to find enough to eat to get full. And the table service was great - our mimosas, orange juice and coffee were constantly refilled and as soon as we finished a dish, it was whisked off the table. It is really expensive, but worth it for the experience. I wouldn't do it on a regular basis, but for a special occasion, it is awesome.
Delicious and fun brunch celebrating my daughter in law's birthday.
Our waiter...Sean, was fantastic...he was attentive and kind and made certain my granddaughter received a special treat....it was pancakes spelling her name....even though it was mommy's birthday, this little girl felt very special too.
Excellent service, food and a very attentive Dining Room Manager, Sebastian who is on top of everything going on in the kitchen with the food delivery or issues. Highly recommend this place and would definitely be going back. He made my daughter's birthday extra special with a special red rose and dessert. Hear they have a fantastic Sunday brunch that we hope to try soon.
You simply can't go wrong at this restaurant, whether it's for brunch, lunch, or dinner. The seafood is always fresh, the wines are lovely and, if it's great weather, sitting outside beside the two waterfalls and all that greenery is so amazingly calming and peaceful. The popcorn shrimp, as an appetizer, is a "must" for us. Not too spicy, just right. Ah-h-h.
