Scott's Restaurant - Walnut Creek

Our server -Elwood (I think) was charming and professional. He seemed to be the only server taking care of many patrons. Manager should step up to help. Food is always great. Restaurant is extremely tired looking. Has not changed since the 90’s! Carpet is worn and dingy. Booths really need updating. Looking at mildewed patio cover was unpleasant. Scott’s is a treasure in Walnut Creek and the look should reflect that. Bathroom stalls need cleaning/painting as well.
Consistently good food and service. Food quality is always the best and the preparation is excellent.
Service was excellent. I had king crab ordered steamed. Recieved broiled and burnt. Waiter brought another steamed to go. That one was over steamed and not tasty at all. Waiter and manager did all they could to make it right, but if the food is bad not too much they could do
I have been here for dinner and always enjoyed it. Decided to try the brunch again and was a little disappointed with the selection. The food was a bit bland although there was Salmon prepared many ways, having a seafood allergy didn’t leave much to select from.
The salads were very over-dressed and they did not clean well after everyone getting food. The serving utensils (where there actually was one) was caked with food. I actually told an attendant that was rearranging the desserts that I borrowed the waffle tongs for the dessert after seeing people grabbing desserts with their hands (they were very close on the platters). To no avail, she didn’t even respond.
We had to request dirty dishes get removed from our table and had to ask a couple times to get refills on water and iced tea( this was for only one refill). Many servers passed our table and I could see from where we were, where they congregated. It was a little annoying as you literally had to flag your server down.
As I had a $50 Opentable reward, I was not very concerned with the cost, however, 2 Sunday Brunch Buffets, 1 Bloody Mary (short glass) and one iced tea came to a total of $157.00 without tip. I wouldn’t have minded if the food and service was good.
I would go back for dinner but you might want to try the Sunday Brunch at The Claremont. You will enjoy it and it is a much better value with great service.
Could not be happier with our recent visit to Scott's in Walnut Creek. Had not been here for a couple of years. Had asked ahead for a nice quiet booth and informed them, while making the reservation on Open Table that is was my date's birthday. It was a busy Sat. Night. The Hostest and Waiter took care of everything. Very attentive and classy. It was perfect. Food was great as always. Could not have been more pleased with the evening.
Food coming out of the kitchen was very poorly timed. Cold items from pantry came out 15 minutes before hot items came out of the kitchen. Really bad.
This place is a must for any foodies out there. The swordfish with stuffed crab is a signature item.
We both had a wonderful experience at Scott's. From the Valet's to the greeter, to the waiters, all made us feel special. The appetizers and the entrees we ordered were second to none in presentation and taste!!
We'll be back!!
My brother recommended that we meet at Scotts in Walnut Creek--I had no idea that it even existed. The ambiance was so warm and lovely. The service and staff were outstanding. We both had salads & they proactively split them on separate plates--didn't have to ask. (this is RARE) There were so many special touches. Our meals were so delicious. And with valet, shall I say more?
Best everything, it was my son’s 49th Birthday and Scott’s is the Best...Fantastic experience will do it again for sure....
From the service to the food itself, I can’t say enough good things. Our server was fantastic & I’m embarrassed that I can’t remember her name. But the food - omg, it ranks in our top 5 meals ever, and we go to really nice restaurants. Steak & lobster, swordfish and THE BEST calamari ever!!! We will def be coming back, very soon!!!
Scotts has been always been an enjoyable dining location but their prices are now at the level where the decision to go there requires a second thought. I would recommend to others with the clear cavate that it is expensive.
One of the last classy places to dine in Walnut Creek.
The food was great. Service impeccable. So nice to have the option of doing a half seafood salad. BEST seafood salad!
I went here with my wife and mother in law for my wifes bday. Service was good, food was great and loved the Live piano in the background!
Great food.... but portions too big. Next visit we will split courses.
Roberto our waiter was fabulous
The petrale dore and the sautéed seafood plate was outstanding.
Always fun at Scott’s. Sometimes hard to hear for seniors even though piano is well played. Maybe take a few more breaks. Food good. Prawns a little fishy but sea bass excellent. Service great.
Came for my birthday dinner. Staff was friendly, catered to our needs and answered our questions. Surprised by a dessert with a candle, a single red rose, and a souvenir photo taken of my entire party. Valet parking was awesome since it was raining and cold out. Never had to step foot outside.
Jamie gave outstanding service, the food was amazing.
Lunch salad was great. Had the avocado, tomato, fresh crab salad. Pricy but worth every penny. DELICIOUS......
Waiter was attentive at first and was ready to take our order before we had a drink. We said “not right now” and then didn’t see him for half hour. Our entrees came out before the salad. Loved the jazz trio in the lounge. Fortunately we weren’t too close our talking would have been rough.
My Mom said this was one of the best birthdays ever! Thank you to the staff at Scott’s Walnut Creek for your outstanding hospitality!
Food was overall good quality. Price was a little high. Ambiance just average as there is no view . Garden area is pretty and helps the location. Service was excellent! Interior seems pretty dated.
Service was a bit slow on this particular evening (which is unusual), but I suspect they were understaffed. The dinner was delicious, but the prices are definitely on the high side.
This was a business dinner for 6. Scott’s was perfect for the event. Great service, great food, great wine. Thank you for a successful dinner. Everyone loved it.
Very nice. Even had to change the time on the reservation at the last minute and had no issues doing that through the app.
After being seated received waters but wait staff never paid attention to us again. Had to continually get wait staff attention if we wanted anything. They would promptly serve all other tables around us but ignored us. Maybe because there was only 2 of us and were working to get a larger top with the tables of more than 2. Very disappointed. When the bill came we tried to us a gift card as part of the payment but waiter said we couldn’t use it. Food is as good but service was very poor. Will not return or recommend anybody go to the brunch. Sincerely, Mike
Scott’s has the best salmon in Bay Area
The food was great but very expensive, the service stellar.
Unfortunately two times now, the Michael Jones Trio was exceedingly disturbing.
We go out to hear a lot of live music, and never have I come across a ruder group of performers. Their disdain for the patrons was palpable. Aloof, condescending, never acknowledging the audiences appreciation. As a musician, I can tell you that this is part and parcel to performing in public.
Do yourself a favor. If you want to go out to hear music, save yourself the money and go elsewhere.
I’m not returning.
As always, the quality of the food was excellent and selection of seafood quite wide. The wine list was also stellar. We always can count on an enjoyable dining experience at Scott's and it is nice that they have plenty of free parking. We will keep coming back and bringing our clients.
Food and service is wonderful! It's a great place to go for a special occasion.
Scotts Seafood in Walnut Creek never disappoints for a nice evening out for dinner. Fish is always fresh, the salads tasty and the restaurant offers the ambiance for good conversation.
Wow! Food, service and overall experience was excellent. We took my mom here as part of her belated birthday gift, after wine tasting in Napa. It was a last minute decision, but we easily found a reservation available. We were seated immediately at a lovely table set carefully with white linen tablecloth and napkins. After ordering, our food arrived quickly, and all dishes were delicious and prepared perfectly. We ordered the crab and avocado salad, seafood sautéed with butter and herb crusted sea bass. All the seafood was cooked to perfection. We were impressed that even though we were celebrating belatedly, and did not order dessert, the waiter brought a dessert to my mother, played “Happy Birthday” instrumentally, and they took a photo of us which they printed and presented to her in a card before we left. Super impressive!
Great food and service for multiple birthdays celebration.
This is a very nice restaurant. One thing that would be great is if the bread was served warm rather than cold. Crab cakes were only OK. I am spoiled by the crab cakes at Joe’s Stone Crab. Love the lump crabmeat. The sea bass entree was excellent
Had the best server (Paulina) ever who was efficient, smart, & funny. Service really sets the tone of the dinner for me. The food was delicious (Alaskan King Crab) and the ambiance was good however the music can be loud at times. Scott’s is a classic.
Our server,Paulina was so vibrant and wonderful. She made our dining experience so much more special than we expected. The noise level was extremely high. My husband and I had to raise our voices to speak to each other. Other than that, we love everything else.
The food was excellent we have brunch which was so and we are definitely coming back but it a little pricey.
table spaces are too crowded... we are seated beside a group table and their chairs are way out on the aisle so my hubby had to get up from his chsir a few times to let somebody get by... had to move to give him space but then i’m almost touching the elbow of the other person on the NEXT TABLE 😟
