We loved the happy hour prices and the food was very good. Our service was great as well with Kendall as our server.
Seated right away, server Nicole was very efficient and pleasant. Food was good. Would recommend to friends.
Great place to celebrate or chill! Would recommend and definitely come back!
Service was good along with atmosphere. Food was below average. Crab cakes were small and not tasteful. The calamari appetizer was over cooked and very rubbery. I will not be back and won’t recommend it to my friends. Very expensive for what you get.
Reservation was for 615. Arrived 610 and were seated by 615 And water arrived immediately. At 6:30 I got the attention of a waiter, Neil, who was quite busy and told him we had been sitting for a while. He would notify someone. At 6:40 a manager came to the table and asked if we were waited on and we told her the story. She apologized and said she was short staffed and will take care of us right away. Our drinks arrived about 10 minutes later. At that time since we were quite hungry we asked if we could have some bread which they brought to us, one piece each.So we ordered meals right away. The short rib meal I had was good except for the one piece was all fat. After trimming the fat off the rest it was tasty. Vegetables and mashed potatoes were very good. My husband had a seafood dish which was two shrimp two scallops and some risotto. He said it was good but for the price he paid expected a little bit more. The drinks were so-so. My husband ordered a vodka and lime liqueur drink which was awful, tasteless. The old fashion that I had was OK. We each had two drinks but my husband had a beer instead figuring this was safer. This was not the first time at the Highlander which we never had a problem with before. Unfortunately, we won’t be visiting here for quite a while.
Food was great, nice evening to sit on the patio. Service was slow. Ordered appetizers, 20 minutes later still no appetizers and waitress had not returned to take our dinner order. Waved another employee down to find her for us, then another 10 minutes before appetizers arrived. From sit down to paying bill was over 2 hours.
Great place to dine. My son and I had the filets and was one of the best ones we ever had. Had the wings as an appetizer and they were really good to. Definitely will go back again.
Can't remember what it was called but had beer battered shrimp over rice in a coconut sauce and OMG. Amazing!!!
Our waiter was great! The shrimp and crab salad was outstanding as well as the homemade hummus.
always a nice evening at scotland run... delicious food, excellent service.
Always love Scotland Run. The menu is limiting. They need to update menu and add back all those great sandwiches and wraps they pulled off so that people would order full entrees instead. Miss the salmon, pulled pork, crab cake, reuben sandwiches, and all the others that we all loved so much!
Food was a lot better than expected for a country club restaurant. The service was good but table cloths would of made the dinning experiences classier.
I consider myself a regular customer at this wonderful Highlander Pub and Grill. I am never dissatisfied with anything that I have ordered and the service is always outstanding. The Happy Hour is by far the best bargain you will find anywhere. An added plus is the outstanding view when eating outside.
We had a great afternoon! I would recommend Scotland Run to anyone and everyone.
The Food was outstanding and the service great. My first time there and can't wait till return.
Katherine, our waitress, was kind and attentive. She was also very helpful with the menu and also taking pics to celebrate our anniversary. We will definitely return.
Food was very good but a little pricey. Could have a bigger selection of beer on tap. Also, was a little noisy.
Good service, pretty atmosphere, friendly people, and good food added up to a nice experience.
Sat outside. View is very nice and food was decent.
This is our go-to spot. The service is always great, and the food and views are fantastic!
Alexa was great and on point with service. Thank you!
The view of golf course is beautiful food was good service was good would highly recommend this restaurant
It's the outside ambience that makes this place phenomenal, overlooking the beautiful golf course. The staff is friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food and drink menu is somewhat stagnant with same happy hour appetizers and drinks with nothing fresh, new, trendy that other places offer. But they don't really need to compete with other places because they're in a class of their own due to the location and they draw the crowds. They used to have great sandwiches like crab cake, reuben, salmon wrap, etc, but discontinued them so that guests order expensive meals off the dinner menu instead, which can be pricey. Overall, outdoors is a great place!
The food, drinks, service, and ambience were all great.
Two of us ordered the Sicilian Calamari, which we've had here many times before.
The dish was still delicious, but different from how it was previously made.
The dish had only calamari rings, none of the "spiders", and was not lightly breaded, as it has been in the past. We both enjoyed the new version but would have preferred to have the old recipe.
After dinner we took a nice walk to the pavilion out back, and the setting was really beautiful. Lots of nice greenery and flowers, and a sweet little pond, adjacent to a sizable pavilion. What a great place for an outdoor event!
Overall, a great night of outdoor dining!
This was a combo dinner to celebrate Father's Day and my wife's Birthday. The food was great as usual, however, they messed up one of my daughters order and brought out the wrong thing, so I ended up taking that and giving my daughter what I ordered since she had also ordered the same as me. I also called ahead earlier in the day to let them know it was my wife's Birthday and I wanted them to do something special like sing Happy Birthday. When I talked to them, they said that they were writing it down so the waitress would know. The waitress never bothered to do anything. This is by far the worst experience I've had there...it was totally out of character for them to drop the ball at all, let alone twice! We have eaten there quite alot of the years and have never had an issue, but this was not acceptable at all. It will be a while before we come back!
Our server was attentive. The bagpiper alway enjoyable. The plans and parachuters. From the nearby airport just added to the overall experience
It was an amazing evening, as usual. The view sitting outside is outstanding and everything was absolutely perfect.
Outdoor dining. Ambience was fantastic, comfortable and very relaxing. You are surrounded by many varieties of flowers and vegetation. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Service was very good. Highly recommend their outdoor/patio dining.
Nice place to relax and enjoy the view with outside dining. We enjoyed the drinks and desert. Main dishes were good, not great. Service was great.
The atmosphere outside was incredible. Seated at the first tee on a cool, clear June evening it was perfect. Bar service was a bit slow, apps and entrees are above average but not spectacular - same with dessert but the view is spectacular!
Everything was top notch!
This was my first time at Scotland Run, but it won't be my last. We were a party of 5 enjoying lunch with out of town family. Each of us had something different. I had a lovely Caprese salad with grilled chicken; my mother had the soup du jour, which was minestrone. The remaining family had sandwiches, crab cake, chicken salad, and a Rueben. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Can't wait to return.
The server was abrupt and lacked a tone that someone working with customers should have.
Food took a long time. Sitting outside was perfect, best thing about the night.
Food and drinks were excellent! We loved Maureen behind the bar. Excellent atmosphere
Do not recommend!!!!
Had to ask to clean off table
Waited 15 minutes for server
Had to ask for place setting
Chair was too low for table
Food was disappointing for the price
We went with friends and listened to Jay Gentile. There was no wait. We sat on the patio. The waitress was friendly and we ordered promptly. Our food was good, but my husband thought his was a little overcooked. The music was great and Jay is very talented. Enjoyed our evening.
We had a lovely time. We had a party of eight for an outside lunch. Food was great , service extraordinary, ambiance was beautiful and the perfect weather to sit outdoors.
My go to place for meeting girl friends!! We had a great night. We sat inside but could still enjoy the view of the beautiful golf course. We ordered a combination of happy hour food/ drinks and items off regular menu. Food was delicious as always. We were there for hours and the excellent service continued throughout. Highly recommended!!
It was a beautiful evening overlooking the golf course and watching the sky divers. We ordered the coconut shrimp lopez and the shrimp risotto. Both were excellent. Would definitely eat here again.
Food was just “ok”. The marinara for the calamari was awful. Long hots were very mushy. Too heavy on spices. Chicken parm was difficult to cut with burnt tomato sauce on top. Mashed potatoes were tasteless and cold.
