We chose to dine in the bar area by the fire place which was very nice ambiance. However, there were some young men at the bar having crude conversations and using vulgar language. Nobody from the staff reminded them that there were other people trying to enjoy a nice dinner. Thankfully they left on their own accord about halfway through the evening. I expected a little better from such a nice place.
Everything was great, as usual. Friends from Cape May Beach joined me and loved it once again. They don't mind the hour's drive to eat there. The Reuben was spectacular and the men loved the Shepherds Pie. Service was excellent.
Highlander Pub has become one of our favorite restaurants. We are big fans of the salads, Happy Hour, their cocktails and staff. We miss Sam, our hostess, this visit. She is a real gem.
This place is notorious for slow service. Also, the wait staff isn't very astute to what you ask of them. Waited 15 minutes for salad dressing because the salad came out without any. Waited over 35 minutes for sandwiches. Arnold Palmer was awful. They shouldn't serve it. No variety of teas at all and no gluten free bread/buns. If it wasn't for the beautiful view I wouldn't have checked it out.
We have never been disappointed with any meals at Scotland Run. Our servers worked hard and were very kind and professional. The food came in a timely manner and was very good.
if you want a nice place to eat with a lovely atmosphere then this is the place. Not a huge selection to choose from but a decent variety of meals. They do need to update their menus. Some sides have been removed from the menu but still are listed. In their defense they did accommodate us with the side at no charge. A very pleasent evening out.
Did not realize that you only could order from the lunch menu at 2:00. We like to eat early dinners, so this was a problem. Also the food was not that good. They were out of some items that my group wanted to order. The prices were expensive. Overall, I probably will not go back.
We had lunch today out on the patio. Beautiful day with a beautiful view of the golf course. We both had hamburgers. I had the mushroom and my friend had the BBQ burger. Both were delicious and served with fries. Our meal arrived hot. Brandon was our server and he jerked on us multiple times. Mary, the manger, checked on us a few times to see if everything was ok. Both employees are an asset.
2 meals were uneatable, so the manager removed them from our check. We’ve had better past experiences there.
Food was wonderful. The garlic parm fries were delicious.
Happy hour there is excellent, especially since many restaurants have eliminated happy hour since COVID. Good service there.
First time here. Loved it! Live music was perfect!!
Food is always good. A little expensive. Experience was ruined a little by children that didn't no how to behave in a restaurant and parents that didn't care to correct them. Not restaurants fault
Server was very helpful and friendly and food was good.
Great service...delicious food...thank you! We'll be back!
Everything was great until the live music started. The performer was very good, but too loud. Conversation at our table stopped because we couldn’t hear each other.
I have enjoyed Scotland Run many times for lunch.
We had company in from a Florida &we wanted a nice place for a quiet dinner
and some good food & conversation.
It was very crowded a little noisy but we where able to have a wonderful time & good food! Thank you!
It was too noisy to even hear the other two people at our table.
As usual excellent in all areas. We had never had the Lobster Ravioli. We both decided to try and it was fabulous! Perfect amounts of everything Flavors blended beautifully
We also had the fried calamari which no restaurant does as well as these folks. Always perfect. This time though we tried the Sicilian sauce which was a taste bud treat! A touch spicy but wonderfully so! Fabulous!
I had cheesecake for dessert which is always my fav. My husband had the crème brûlée with sea salt caramel which he loved
Great 49th wedding Anniversary dinner
Great place, great food but the service has been awful. The last four times I have been there going back to Spring up until last week. Waiting a long time for wait staff to come to table to greet us. We we're actually going to leave. We had to go to the host stand to ask for someone. Waiting too long to get a drink or more water or for wait staff to check on us.
The food was decent. The waiter was friendly. Only issue was they didn’t have their signature beer in stock plus another I tried to order off of the menu.
Everything was great as usual. It has become our real "go to place" . Everything is always very good and the staff are very personable and efficient.
Great ambience, great service and reasonably priced. Food and drinks were just okay.
The service was impeccable! The food always satisfies. We would go more often if our teenagers would agree. We all enjoy dining at Scotland Run.
The wait staff was awesome. Everyone one working together as a team.food and beverages came out quickly. One of our favorite happy hour spots I would highly recommend
Happy Hour is the best!
This restaurant is managed well and the food and service never disappoints us. It also had really good happy hour and other specials.
Friendly, efficient service. Tasty food...great value!Love seating both in and outdoors. The view is absolutely fantastic year round... and if you're lucky in good weather you just may see the skydiving over the Golf Course.
Even the live music could not bring up our night. Confusion over our reservation, even though we called back and confirmed. Burnt my dinner, had to recook, kept my husband's dinner on a warming table. His food was like leather. Mine just plain lousy. Only good was bottle of wine, which sustained us over our dinner slog. Maybe lunch next time, NOT DINNER.
Not the place if you don’t have a few hours. There were about 6 tables seated when we arrived on Thursday early afternoon. After ordering, it took 40 minutes to get a cup of soup and over an hour to get two sandwiches. Sandwich’s arrived cold but wasn’t worth sending back.
We celebrated a birthday and they took great care of us and seated us outside where the views were amazing. Great service and the food was fantastic! We will definitely be back soon.
My girlfriend had not been before, I had been for some golf tournaments. We loved it, weather great, we sat outside. Drinks, food all great, ambiance good too. So fun to watch bridal groups.
Dinner with my granddaughters. Beautiful weather and awesome food. We started with the hummus and vegetables. Best hummus. Chicken pot pot was delicious, the children’s chicken fingers with fries was more than substantial, and I had the burger. All were to our likings. Oh, the chocolate molten cake with ice cream was shared by all. Neal, our waiter, was always attentive to our needs. Mary stopped by also to check on us a couple times. I love the service. To top it off the vi3w from our table was beautiful. Scotland Run is a regular dining experience. Never disappointed.
Good food, good service and atmosphere. Varied menu choices.
Server was awesome. He was pleasant and very accommodating. Outside seating area very , very relaxing. This was my first time at your club and I will return and tell my family and friends about you. Thank you for a nice experience!
The service was slower than usual but I certainly don’t blame the waitress. Several large tables and only one waitress. The kitchen was probably short staffed plus there was a wedding taking place at the same time.
Food great…music a bit too loud.
I am giving this review a one star. The star goes to our server she did everything possible to make our dinner enjoyable but it was not. ( not her fault) It took 45 minutes for us to get two appetizers we got calamari which was bland no taste at all, and mussels red they had to be the smallest mussels I’ve ever seen. Good flavor just small .We were then told after we put our dinner in which was probably a half an hour later they ran out of risotto. The table behind us which was sat after us got their appetizers and dinner before we did. Almost an hour after we got our appetizers we decided we were not staying and waiting any longer for our Dinner. As we were leaving they were bringing out our dinner. They did take 50% of each appetizer but this was our first time there and LAST time.
The outdoor patio is a perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful view. Happy Hour specials were awesome.
Been here a few times before the Pandemic with never an issue. Can't say that now. It look like they were short staffed. Our server was rushing us, but it took a while for our orders to come out. I ordered the Surf & Turf medium rare, my Ribeye came out will done. The Grilled Shrimp were Cold! Manager apologized and took off my meal. It was our 52 Anniversary Family Dinner that was not enjoyable!
