I am giving this review a one star. The star goes to our server she did everything possible to make our dinner enjoyable but it was not. ( not her fault) It took 45 minutes for us to get two appetizers we got calamari which was bland no taste at all, and mussels red they had to be the smallest mussels I’ve ever seen. Good flavor just small .We were then told after we put our dinner in which was probably a half an hour later they ran out of risotto. The table behind us which was sat after us got their appetizers and dinner before we did. Almost an hour after we got our appetizers we decided we were not staying and waiting any longer for our Dinner. As we were leaving they were bringing out our dinner. They did take 50% of each appetizer but this was our first time there and LAST time.
The outdoor patio is a perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful view. Happy Hour specials were awesome.
Been here a few times before the Pandemic with never an issue. Can't say that now. It look like they were short staffed. Our server was rushing us, but it took a while for our orders to come out. I ordered the Surf & Turf medium rare, my Ribeye came out will done. The Grilled Shrimp were Cold! Manager apologized and took off my meal. It was our 52 Anniversary Family Dinner that was not enjoyable!
As usual the service and food did not disappoint. It was a lovely evening on the patio, the music was good but so loud we could not have a conversation. We had to move far away. Never had this issue before. Andrew quickly accommodated our request to move. Branden, our waiter, checked on us a lot. This shows Scotland Run values it’s customers. We had the appetizer sliders which are always excellent. My husband craved a cheese steak and they gladly obliged making him happy. I love their salads which never disappoint. We are regulars.
Went for their happy hour with a group of neighbors. The bar was extremely loud! They need a few more options on their menu for happy hour. But it’s a great value and we had an awesome time server was on point.
The service was great but we had several drinks that had little bugs in the bottom of the glass.
As usual Scotland Run does not disappoint. We enjoyed a lovely dinner on the patio overlooking the gorgeous golf course. Our waiter, Neil, is always excellent. He made a great suggestion last night. On Thursday nights bottles of wine are half price. That meant we got whispering Angel for half price. That is a true bargain. Everyone ordered something different and our meals arrived all at the same time. Neil checked on us many times to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. That is the trait of an excellent, experienced waiter. Neil has been there for years and is an asset to Scotland Run.
Very nice happy hour menu -- Spare rib dinner very good-- nice place to relax
The review noise level was that we were at a booth in the bar which was requested! So, that is not a negative review. We sit at this booth every time we go there…………. The food was excellent, our server was extremely patient, and our stay exactly as we wanted!
Very nice atmosphere. Servers were helpful and friendly. Will recommend to friends.
Good but not great. I loved sitting outside but they were definitely short-staffed (also had a wedding going on). It was a very long wait for our food and it was not as hot as it could have been. While I didn’t mind the wait (it was my birthday and I was relaxing and enjoying the view), my teenage children were hungry and kept complaining about how long the food took to come out. They didn’t enjoy their food as much as they hoped to. We didn’t order dessert and went somewhere else for ice cream afterwards.
Food was delicious!!! Great view in a perfect atmosphere!!!
Hannah was a great server. Music was great. Food good. I ‘lol be back again
I ordered the surf and turf. Steak was cooked perfect. I would be nice to get a salad with entree.
Music is way too loud. Food & service was excellent, great Martini
Really great place! Service was slow, but it was the holiday weekend so staff was likely low. We were not in a hurry so it was no problem for us. We will go back again!
Enjoy dining at Scotland run ever since their menu changed. It’s wonderful
Outstanding food, service and drinks. I would highly recommend for a special night out.
Very attentive and courteous service from all staff we encountered. A very pleasant experience. I enjoyed a well prepared Old Fashioned cocktail along with a very good Cesar salad and pork chop entree. Dessert was Strawberry crepe shortcake; a real treat. Definitely will go back.
Good food and service in a beautiful setting. Have never been disappointed.
This is my go to place. I love sitting on the patio overlooking the golf course greens. At a distance people are doing jumps out of an airplane. Sometimes you are a distant spectator at a wedding taking place. The wait staff are young but polite, courteous and knowledgeable. The food selection is varied and good. As always Mary’s friendly face stops to say hello. She makes you feel like you are home.
Very good service & food is quite good. Atmosphere is great. A favorite of ours.
Perfect evening for our anniversary dinner! We celebrated on the outside patio with the lovely course view. Food was delicious and server Gabriela was so friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back!
Lovely view of the golf course, excellent dinner and service. Especially enjoyed the lobster ravioli and the lemon strawberry crepes for dessert.
definitely do not give you enough food for the money charged, 4 medium sized scallops for $28? 4 crab balls (crab cakes they called them) for $30? thought it was way overpriced. on the plus side, the NE Clam Chowder was excellent.
Our server, Nicole, was excellent. The food was good, the scenery was beautiful, and the ambience was perfect for a relaxing Friday night.
Our server Ben was wonderful - Very conscientious, smiling & polite.
Excellent food and beautiful view from the patio.
Food was good but overpriced for what compared to regular bar food! Nice personnel with friendly service!
Had reservations to celebrate my husband's birthday; sat outside overlooking the course. Food was delicious and service was great. Always a great meal here.
As always it was a perfect night on the patio. I loved the music by Vic. Service and food is always excellent. Mary is always checking on the customers to make sure everything is okay. Her friendly nature and smile is a welcoming sight. She is an asset. Also I would like to mention a waiter we sometimes get, Neal. Neal is another asset to Scotland Run. Scotland Run is fortunate to have a great group of waitstaff.
We sat out side facing golf course view is beautiful lunch was great service was great would differently recommend it
Very nice place for lunch, etc. Like to try brunch soon.
Excellent view overlooking the course. Great service!
The view is impeccable, sadly the service is not, nor was the food. We wanted outdoor dining with all that’s going on, the service was slow, scant, and the food was so-so. The only saving grace was the view.
As usual the outside patio is beautiful! Wish the food was… appetizers are just blaaH and or too many to choose from need more variety and some gluten free options would be good.
Entrees are just ok food could be so much better!
Sat on outside deck, food was excellent. Service by Jiuliana was perfect. Good drinks, good wine, great food and great service. Will be back again soon
Everything was very good, a little slow with the food but it was pretty busy so kind of expected.
My husband and I were going out for date night considering our children were away for the weekend. Upon entering the outside is extremely beautiful so we immediately got our hopes up high looking forward to a good dinner and evening at this venue. The waitress took a long time before coming to our table and there were only 2 other tables in our area of about 20 tables that were taken.
To skip her mild manners we basically did not like the food. Limited options with high prices; for instance the “homemade cheese fries” were basically warmed up cheese wiz out of a can poured over Luke warm fries. Nothing homemade about that and we asked for a side of veggies but they only serve a mixture of onions, butternut squash’s and some other veggies that I’ve never seen and I’m vegan. Our service was poor, the waitress experience was either poor or she did not want to serve us.
The noise level was extremely loud due to a gathering going on; on the second level. Kids were running up and down the steps screaming and playing. A total waste and we have no interest in coming back to this location.
Overall great experience but very loud that day because of big parties
