Schpoons & Forx is chef and broadcaster Matt Budden’s modern British all-day restaurant featuring a lively open kitchen. A vibrant place with a tandoor and stone oven, the restaurant offers British inspired dishes, made with only the freshest local produce. The modern interior is decked out in rich wood finishes, jewel-toned tile and comfortable luxe seating with striking feature lighting and will encourage a lively, buzzing atmosphere. Schpoons & Forx is open daily from breakfast until dinner. We will also be serving Afternoon Tea from 12pm-4pm in the restaurant from January 1st.

If you were anticipating (as we were having been to S and F many times) the steaks cooked in a Tandori oven then forget it. After we had sat down and been given the menu we discovered the oven had been broken for some time and the dishes on offer in no way made up for its absence. They were typical hotel restaurant food which previously they were certainly not. We decided not to stay and have a beef burger, rather than a 30 day aged tandori cooked steak and explained our reasons to the staff who did not seem at all suprised or indeed particularly bothered

I booked via OpenTable and then wanted to add one more guest later. OpenTable said the restaurant was full and no more guests could be added. The extra guest came anyway. In fact the restaurant was only ever one third full all evening, yet OpenTable were preventing me adding one more guest. Clearly at the moment the OpenTable app is not fit for purpose and also potentially losing the restaurant business. A very poor experience from OpenTable.

The food use to be much better, the menu is slightly disjointed. Had the calamari and it was maybe the most salty dish I have ever had. Would not be rushing back.

Delicious food. Service was good. Skybar is closed so a little disappointed we couldn’t follow our meal with a drink at the bar. Otherwise a good experience.

We arrived and were told they no longer offered the bottomless brunch we had travelled quite a way to attend. Asked to see a manager but after stood for ages waiting we gave up and left. Very unhappy as it ruined a planned special occasion for us all
