   We were in Grand Rapids for a concert and looking for a nice place to eat. We came across Scholar, a newer restaurant we found on OpenTable that still had reservations available. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed! The atmosphere was inviting, the food was absolutely amazing, and the drinks were just as great. Everything exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Scholar to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Grand Rapids!

   This was our third dining experience at Scholar and we will continue to be patrons. The staff is friendly, excellent service and the food is delicious. Does not disappoint!

   Everything cooked to perfection. Flavor combinations were excellent. We had the salmon and short rib. Clam chowder was great too.

   Great cocktails, food, and service. We had a lovely table by the window on the second floor. It was busy but we could still easily talk and so had a wonderful evening with friends!

   Service was fantastic! I had the Salisbury steak which you don’t see very often on a menu. It was great and I would definitely get it again. My wife said her scallops were some of the best she’d ever had. We’ll be back!

   Loved our experience at Scholar!! Our 1 year anniversary was well spent here, little pricey but that’s to be expected for an anniversary dinner and for such great food! Braised chicken and the steak was particularly great, as well as the butternut squash soup. Also crème brule for dessert is a must.

   Food was just ok. Maybe it was just what I ordered. Loved the atmosphere and it was a great place for a dinner with friends as it was easy to have a conversation!

    We are new to Grand Rapids and keep looking for new restaurants around town! So glad we found this place, it is our new top favorite. Everything we had was absolutely incredible! Will absolutely be coming back! Wedge salad- 10/10 Seasonal flatbread - 10/10 Steak, the Ribeye- 10/10 Bison Short Rib- 10/10 and even the potato cake alone was to die for!
