What a great find in the financial district. No need to venture into TriBeCa to find a warm, welcoming cost restaurant with great food. Try this place and you won’t be disappointed.

Truly excellent dishes. Lovely ambiance. We had drinks at the bar before dinner and our guest was given a seat at our table even though the reservation was just for two people. Very accommodating staff.

Had a nice relaxing dinner here on a Friday night. Started with the delicious Trout Rillette spread on awesome toasted bread, followed by the HUGE Wiener schnitzel. Nice bottle of Gruner Veltliner too. Started with a weak Manhattan (too much melted ice). Waiter was non-attentive - disappeared for a long time.

The restaurant was quaint & warm, energetic and welcoming. The Thanksgiving Feast was exquisite and well worth the price. Our server & bartender, Ruben, was awesome and attentive even with a busy holiday crowd. If you're looking for dinner in FiDi, I cannot recommend them enough.

Made a reservation for party of 3, we have been placed at a community table due to the lack of availability Little space to eat , waiters bumped into chairs multiple times when serving other ppl. Cauliflower was out , so if u are a vegetarian too bad. They made an effort but overall not worth going back

We chose to have our Thanksgiving day dinner at schillings and we were very pleased with the food. It was a three course meal and all courses were delightful. My favorite was the soup, turkey, sweet potato brûlée, and the apple pie with ice cream. Really all of it was amazing and then to top it off the service was excellent! If I lived in New York I would definitely be a regular at this restaurant.

We came here for Thanksgiving lunch and what a delectable experience that was . We had the Pre-fixe Thanksgiving meal. The serving was generous and more importantly the food was just wonderful from the soup down to the dessert. Sumptuous all the way .

I had an outstanding dinner here. The food was amazing, and it’s the only place I’ve been to in the city with an Austrian / German influence in the menu with some other variety and options. I had the Jager Schnitzel special and it even though it was for two, I finished the entire thing. The executive chef was also incredibly kind, taking time to explain the entire menu, the influences behind certain dishes and choices behind the menu, and also was an amazing host. I will certainly be coming back here soon.

This is a one of those gem restaurants you just keep going back to... they have a new seasonal menu that is so creative and delicious. Excellent cocktails and all the wines are in house selected so it's easy and tremendous value. I wish is was on my corner as I'd be there even more.

Loved everything from the rustic decor to the rotating seasonal menu items to the delicious cocktails. Our server was absolutely outstanding and personable. The food was so flavorful and delicious and we definitely ate more than we needed to because it was all so good! The service was timely and efficient and we were able to manage a beautiful dinner out with our two young kids just fine. It was a great time!

Always great food. Only gripe is that the wine is outrageously priced. A glass of Bonanza wine costs more that you’d pay for the entire bottle at an overpriced wine store.

The chef was not there. We went for the apple strudel. It turned out to be terrible. The spatzel was too salty and the wiener snitchel was too bland. The wine menu is very limited. Never to return or recommend. It deserves to close.

They have a very small menu, it was shortened from the pandemic and now is very fried food heavy - there was not a single option for gluten-free so do not recommend eating here unless you really want schnitzel. The ambiance is nice though - good spot for dessert and a glass of wine.

Tried for restaurant week. We work locally but seemed it was more a tourist restaurant. Was not offered a drink while seated waiting for my husband. Service was slow. Long wait between main course and desert. Dinner wasn’t memorable. Soup and desert were excellent. Also, told open table we were “no shows” so had to work that out as well.

A restaurant with character in the FiDi is a rarity; where boring chains and obnoxious steakhouses prevail. Schilling has a great rotating seasonal menu and a decent happy hour. The staff are friendly, and you can actually hear your dining companions when they speak. Recommended.

Nice Austrian restaurant tucked away on a side street close to the 9/11 Memorial and the 9/11 Tribute Museum. Food was unique and tasty and service was attentive. They attracted a very nice lunch crowd when they opened at noon.
