    Why go out for fairly simple Austrian food? Because it's prepared as well as Chef Frauneder does. My pork schnitzel was pounded to within an inch of its life, with a beautiful light breading. The brussel sprouts were beautifully roasted, with a sauce with some Asian ingredients and lime tying it together. The white asparagus soup was creamy and luscious with plenty of pieces of white asparagus. And this was the second time we've ordered a burger at his restaurant, something we rarely order out, because it is just that good. Perfectly balanced. When we travel to New York we try lots of restaurants, hoping for a great tasting meal. We go to Schilling when we want to make sure that's what we're going to get.

    Great food, service, vibe -- I hadn't dined in FiDi in years, and it's great to see this kind of high quality but low key neighborhood place here.

    Delicious food, which we could share. Friendly and efficient staff. Cool industrial vibe, and the whole wall to the street was open because it was such a nice day, so we could enjoy almost being outside.

    We loved the cozy atmosphere and great food. The schnitzel and apple strudel were excellent, and our waitress provided good service. We would definitely recommend Schilling for delicious and different food!

    Excellent Wienerschnitzel (we had the pork schnitzel) - best we've had in NYC. High recommended. Very nice rustic atmisphere and welcoming service.

    Great place for lunch (nice and quiet) or dinner or just drinks. The schnitzel is delicious and today I shared an excellent salad.
