Such a great spot in the neighborhood. The food is delicious and nicely presented. The staff is always inviting and attentive without bugging you. Love it
Love the ambiance. A little hidden gem in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the financial center and Freedom Tower neighborhood. Excellent cocktails and nice wines by the glass. The food was delicious with beautiful presentation.
The Schilling is a great find. Usually consistently good food and it's a cozy spot which makes it an ideal quick lunch or casual dinner spot.
Great menu, delicious food, great service, great atmosphere! Thank you.
Great place - it’s such a solid, local, cute restaurant with great food and wine list. The staff and ambiance are excellent! It is my go-to down in that area - a tucked away gem.
My friend and I really enjoyed Schilling, though don't choose this restaurant if you're in a big hurry (which, luckily, we were not). The food was spectacular, the ambience lovely and relaxed, and the service was very friendly and attentive, if a bit more leisurely than I'm used to. Would absolutely go back!
Service was abysmal. The ticket times were awful, but the food and drinks were great.
Fantastic gem tucked away in FiDi - the food was exceptionally good. Each dish was meticulous in execution and hit the spot on flavor, texture, appeal and taste. Highly recommend the roast chicken, brussel sprouts, schnitzel and burrata among others.
Food was delicious and service was great. Beyond cute atmosphere. Wonderful restaurant!
We live close by and dine there very often. It is charming and pleasant, the staff is attentive and the food is flawlessly prepared. The set up is cool and tasteful, and well suited for a nice dinner with friends or business associates.
Food and service were both excellent! We loved our waitress – didn't get her name but she's a petite blond and said she's from Poland. A shout out to her; she was friendly, helpful, attentive and she made the experience lovely!
The portions are WAY TOO SMALL.
I ordered the chickpea stew and the bowl are ridiculous small and cost 17 dólars.
The place is
Cute, but the food is not so good.
This is a little gem in the financial district. The menu is petite but wholesome. Everything is delicious including their wines. The seating is close and the space is small, but it makes for an intimate experience. The staff is fantastic, genuine and lovely.
Great food, well prepared, very pleasant staff. Would definitely go back again.
Very disappointed with dinner service. Entrees came to the table before appetizers were finished. Food was nothing special and panna cotta dessert was tasteless. Air conditioner leaked into seating area during meal. Would not return or recommend when there are so many other dining options in the area.
Amazing food. It was a good choice for restaurant week.
An incredible Austrian-inspired restaurant with a lovely atmosphere, impeccable service, and delicious food! We had the good fortune of visiting during NYC's Restaurant Week and had an exceptional prixe fix 3-course meal for $42 each (fresh balsamic and tomato salad, scallops with morel mushrooms, wiener schnitzel, pesto spaetzl and apple strudels). Loved it and would absolutely visit again!
We love this restaurant but if you’re not going to write down the orders of 6 people, you better get the orders right. We went for Restaurant Week, and it went as you would expect it. Wrong orders came out, and when asking for no dairy because of an actual allergy (not lactose intolerance, a legit allergy) but you get ice cream on dessert - that’s not okay. So from apps, to main, to dessert. The orders were wrong.
Food and drinks were great! Very tight seating but cozy atmosphere. Server was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Lovely overall, portions could stand to be bigger.
We were fans of Freud in the Village and thought the menu for Schilling looked fantastic, but the portion sizes on the mains were too small for the price. It was as if they hadn't done enough shopping for the dinner service. The duck breast entree came with three slices - not even half a duck breast. The brat plate had one link. The sauce around the spaetzle was thin, milky. It may have been an off night because I see many other good reviews. They had a large dinner party and had run out of the entrees we wished to order originally, so that was disappointing.
Great food and service. The chicken was excellent!
Really nice place. Server was attentive to our dietary restrictions and made sure that our stuff came out gluten free.
Always a great lunch options in downtown Manhattan. Love it .
Schilling is the type of restaurant that I wish was in my neighborhood, as I'd go there all the time. It has that perfect neighborhood vibe with a great homey atmosphere, delicious mostly healthy food and friendly staff. I would recommend it to anyone in the Financial District looking for a more down to earth peaceful place to eat.
The ambiance was great, food was good...no complaints
It was my boyfriend’s birthday. The waiter seemed a little board and circled our table like a helicopter trying to land. The food was great. The potions are small, so you will find yourself ordering more food. Overall it was great though.
we came recommended by friends, and like it a lot. Simple, agreeable, great food, good service and very affordable for NYC.
Delightful server, cozy ambiance, and absolutely delicious food. Delicate Sea Bass in a flavorful broth, crisp and tender Wiener Schnitzel.
As a first timer, my family and I enjoyed the ambiance and the food
We had a wonderful Polish server who knew her wine and had that European professionalism that one rarely experiences in US restaurants.
Food is great! Fool’s Gold drink is kind of gross. No complaints otherwise!
Great little restaurant. But on a Friday at lunch it was packed and they only had one server. So we waited a long time for our food and had very spotty service. Also, it's very loud, so not great for business meetings or intimate conversation. But the food is excellent, so it's worth a visit.
We’ve been coming here since the restaurant opened and have loved it. The wait staff is consistently excellent. But something has changed in the kitchen. The portions have become very small while the prices have gone up. And they are regularly out of certain dishes. Bring back the restaurant we loved!
On my arrival they insisted that they could only seat me at their long communal table - about 30 seats- or at the counter, and that they do not confirm any particular seating arrangement when you book Open Table. I said I was leaving and in fact walked outside where the manager followed me and then said “come back in and we’ll give me a small table but only for 90 minutes. This was fine for me.
I ordered their pate. Which was delicious , but halfway through the kitchen delivered my main course , Pork Snitzel. I said I’m still eating my app and please take the entree away.
The waiter then stopped over to say he was having the chef remake the dish. 35 minutes later it was finally redelivered and was unbelievable salty. In fact it was inedible even with my having the compote which made it seem not as salty. The beer I had been drinking was now undrinkable along with this way over salted entree. I think the kitchen was annoyed to have to remake the entree. When I got back to hotel and all night I could feel the extreme salt and upon checking my blood pressure found it up 50 points!
Don’t go here as you might have the kitchen retaliate against you if they don’t like your criticism
Great fidi additional for a good meal with friends. It is a little tight inside, but the side tables and bar area is good. Food was very tasty.
Great to find a cool place in FiDi! Delicious food and great ambiance.
Nice food, friendly service, but a bit overpriced for the size of the portions
Loved the atmosphere and the food and cocktails were fantastic. I even like the wonky location because it made me feel like I was discovering a hidden gem!
