Schilleci's New Orleans Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
Amazing New Orleans cuisine! The delicious, daily made Bread Pudding is a must, so save room! I recommend reservations as this is a small restaurant that fills up quickly during peak hours. The owners are very friendly and the service is excellent. They are also kid friendly and provide a children’s menu if you bring your little one in. This is a quiet, upscale restaurant, so I wouldn’t take a loud, boisterous group to this place, but it is PERFECT for a date night!
The food is out of this world good! We can’t wait to return!
A great balance between refined and authentic Cajun food. If you are not a fan of spicy do not concern yourself as there are plenty of options. Crab or Crawfish Bisque are the best i have EVER had and I judge all others against their bisque. Usually have a great fish menu with a daily fresh fish and roughly 6 different ways you can have that prepared. Oyster Poboy is the best Poboy i have had and any up the Gumbo's are exceptional and the rue is a molle base rue that is just amazing. Dessert we usually always finish off with Bennett's which is makes you feel like you are at Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans. I am from Louisiana, but live in Kansas City and make it a point to visit this restaurant on every visit. Always greet you with a smile, service is excellent, and the decor does a good job taking you to New Orleans. Make a reservation when you can as this is not a big place.
Schilleci’s has been our go to place for special gatherings but had no idea how good their seafood offerings were. We like supporting owner-owned restaurants over the big chains and Schilleci’s is the place. Great food, good wine, superb service brunch, lunch or dinner - what more could you ask for.
Cozy and welcoming, we tried the crabcakes with prawns which were THE best we have ever tried. Also had the lobster ravioli which were very rich in taste, and the steak which was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. Bread pudding was delicious. The owners and employees make you feel right at home. I recommend this place for family gatherings, date nights, and special occassions. And seriously... try the crabcakes with prawns!
We brought an out of town holiday guest here looking for some respite from crowded, noisy restaurants with music blaring, dazed wait staff, and average food. We were all very pleased with the experience. We could hold a conversation without shouting at one another! Two out of the three entrees were exceptional — our world traveler guest proclaiming “the best fish ever”! The calamari was average, but the beignets out if this world hot and fresh. Our table preference was graciously accommodated and our server anticipated the pacing of our dinner without any requests from us. A refreshing experience!
I love this restaurant! The food is authentic New Orleans and delicious. The staff is amazingly friendly, helpful, and warm. It is a great place for families or for get togethers or special dinners! Earlier in the evening lots of families are there but later it's a comfortable but sophisticated atmosphere. Can't say enough how much I love it.
What a lovely evening! Traveled from The Heights to The Woodlands for dinner before a concert and picked Schilleci's because of their ratings on both Open Table and Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. From the welcome at the front door to the last sip of wine, it was a stellar experience. The portions are very generous, and so very good. The next trip to The Woodlands will definitely include a visit to this restaurant!
We go there weekly. Love the place and staff is second to none. Ownership is there every day and the chef will alter any order to you. He’s come to the table to talk to my wife about what she wanted and then there it was.
Great people, small dinning area, cool New Orleans look and food.
The staff and Cajun-style food were excellent. The Duck sausage gumbo was one of the best gumbo I've ever had. It's a popular spot and was packed when we arrived but cleared out by 9 pm when we left. You definitely want reservations in advance. There's no bar seating so arrive on time or stop at one of the many local attractions if you want a before dinner beverage. Great place and I'm eating there the next time I'm in Houston-The Woodlands.
No matter the occasion— birthday, Valentines Day, or just a date night— Schilleci’s never disappoints us! We love the crawfish dip, Australian Barramundi, and bread pudding! The waiters were extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We will be back soon!
Overall, felt meal was fair. All of the fish dishes are too complicated with too many toppings and sauces. Ordered the seared tuna which was ice cold . The other fish entrees at the table were swimming in sauce . Nothing really one anyone over , best part of meal was house salad
The ambiance and service were very good. The food was expensive but the preparation was lacking. My expensive fresh fish was over cooked and tough. The sauces were good as was the wine. The waiter was actually very nice and competent. Other people liked their salads and soups. I was the only one who ordered an entree.
Great restaurant for authentic New Orleans cuisine. Top notch service! We were greeted and seated with good timing between courses. The wine list list is good value. The gumbo was FINE! They know how to make a roux! We had grouper served two different ways. Both excellent. Fish was super fresh. Glad to have Schileci's in The Woodlands.
