This was a wonderful surprise in Bigfork MT. The food is a bit expensive but very good. I would definitely recommend and will go back if ever here again. Reservations recommended.

It was a beautiful space and ambiance. The crab cakes starter is a must! We had pork ribs, a filet, macadamia crusted chicken and prime rib (special on Thursdays!), and all were cooked perfectly. The sides complemented the dishes well. Service, however, was lacking. Go for the food but it will require patience.

a wonderful experience. wonderful food. prime rib, halibut, duck breast. Jess, our server was great 👍 It was very busy. Good wine selection. Very reasonable prices. The only downside is that it was almost too noisy to have any conversation. I would definitely return.

We enjoyed celebrating a birthday dinner with our daughter from out of state in the beautiful outdoor dining area. The food and wine were exceptional. Our waiter (Laura) is the most knowledgable of the menu and wine selection. Her personality and professionalism made our night so much more enjoyable. She is by far one of the best waiters we have encountered in all our travels. We will definitely return for another dining experience. We did miss the Cioppino from the menu. One of our favorites!

Schafer's has been a favorite restaurant in Bigfork for many years and the new location at the golf club makes a lovely setting. Food and service (Laura was pleasant and efficient) were both quite good. Only complaint was that we had a light meal of soup, salad and pizza and did not expect such a long wait between courses for something so simple as pizza. However, that said, it was very good pizza and did not merit a complaint for the long wait. We would recommend Schafer's to anyone who appreciates fine dining.

We arrived to the golf course for a late lunch. We were seated at a small 2 top facing a concrete wall while noticing there were plenty of other tables with a golf course view open. We asked to be re-seated and we’re accommodated nicely. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. My husband had the chicken with rice and we shared a Cobb salad with chicken. We felt rushed through our dining experience. Our waitress used her hands to pick up a carrot and piece of chicken which escaped my salad bowl while we were eating. When asked what the soup of the day was we were told mushroom rosemary while the table next to us was told butternut squash bisque. It seemed very strange! Request an extra large plate if ordering a salad so that you can eat without making a mess.

We had two of the specials, steak Diane and Cioppino. Both were excellent! We also had the pineapple chicken. All of our entrees were great. Server Jess was phenomenal as was Kevin the sommelier. We will be back.

The whole meal was rushed, we barely had time to finish our appetizers before they were putting the main course on the table! They never put any bread on the table! It was like they couldn’t wait for the table!

We went for our anniversary and could not be more pleay. Everything surpassed our expectations. Wonderful atmosphere, food and service. It was so nice to dine with table cloths and carpeted floors enabling a quiet civilized conversation experience. It’s our new favorite in the valley.

Regular fare. Nothing special on the menu. Culinary creativity is non-existent. It's just a golf club restaurant. The pizza was passable. The chef uses shortcuts, i.e. bacon bits on the wedge salad. They are open 7 days/week. Most folks just visit for a meal because they're unable/too lazy to cook at home.

We had an especially wonderful dining experience at Schafer's on Saturday, July 22nd celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary with our family. Everything was delightful. Nico took such great care of us, Jess stopped by our table to say hello, and every single bite was divine. My husband ordered the sea bass special which was out of this world, and I enjoyed the crab cakes which I can't stop thinking about. Thank you for a memorable dining experience. We are already looking forward to our next opportunity to come back!

Food is good but I wish they would still allow ordering some things off of the Lounge menu when you are in the main dining room. I really felt like a pizza tonight but they evidently stopped allowing ordering off of both menus since we were last there a couple weeks ago.

I was very happy with their new location. Service was superb and presentation and flavor amazing. Couldn’t ask for more. My wife had the haddock and I had filet mignon with mushrooms. Appetizers were steamed clams, shrimp cocktail and house salad. The shrimp were excellent, steamed clams very tasty and well prepared. Haddock and filet were perfect. We all enjoyed it and the choice of wines and hard liquors can’t be beat.
