Scene @ the Center is an eatery located within the Kentucky Center for the Arts. Reservations are for a rotating seasonal menu in our dining room only. Additional seating in the bar area is available on a first come first served basis. We are open 2 1/2 hours before most shows in the Whitney and Bomhard Theaters. We are currently excepting reservations for the 2019-20 theater season.

Booked a reservation an hour and a half before a show. Took almost an hour to receive a burger and pork chop. Burger was dry and overcooked. Pork chop was the same-could hardly slice into it. No table service at bar tables and the lines at the counter make it hard to even get a water refill. We 've eaten there before prior to shows and it's still the same slow service , same mediocre food. We like the idea of going to one location to be able to dine and see a show, but unfortunately it's too much hassle with this venue. We won't be eating here again.

It is a good place to eat if you want to be close for a performance at the Kentucky Center. And good if walking is an issue.

Food was tasty. Waitress was exceptionally accommodating. Chicken pot pie was very good, though portion was slightly small for its price. I would recommend it.

We waited after being seated and were passed over by a waitress several times when I finally asked her who was our waitress. She said I am and walked away. She eventually came back, we ordered. It was a long wait. I had to ask her about our food. I noted a couple who were behind us in line were waited on before us. I feel The Scene is convenient for KPA attendees. It is overpriced & service is sketchy. I doubt we would patron it again.

Dinner before a show, our reservations were at 4:30 pm and show started at 6:30. We ordered appetizers and food at the same time as suggested by our waiter, since it gets busy before show time. We did not get our food until 6:00 pm. We had to shovel our food down quickly, so we could make it to the show on time. We asked the waiter several times when our dinner would be ready. Just kept telling us a few more minutes. He was very apologetic and did not charge us for our drinks and appetizer due to the extra long wait. We think this place has great potential. They just need to expand their menu and make prices match up to the entree. $17 for a small cheese burger and fries is steep.

I would recommend the Scene because of the convenience on show night. However the food is not a value, and it is just OK.

So nice to be at the Center early. We enjoyed the food and the Old Fashioneds were very tasty. But by far our server made the meal. She was very attentive in spite of the busy night there and was very friendly. Will return but would love to see some more sharable apps and an entree salad.

The dinnerware was not clean— fingerprints on a glass, a fork, and an appetizer plate. The food was okay though the shrimp dish was an extremely small portion. The server, although he was nice, rushed us to order and then reminded us twice that our time at the table was expiring soon. For the $159 I spent, the experience was underwhelming, especially since I brought a friend who had never been to the restaurant.

The restaurant was short staffed and as a result the food must have sat in the kitchen because it was cold when it arrived at the table.
