Great food, service and warm hospitality. The duck was delicious and perfectly cooked as was the black cod. The GM stopped by to ensure everything was going well and could not have been more sincere and warm.
Excellent food and top notch service. The short rib and bone marrow agnolotti, tagliatelle bolognese, and lamb chops were amazing. Gio is an exceptional host who made our evening even more memorable. We’ll be back to see you soon my friend.
Food was great as always, however, it became obvious 10 minutes into eating that they were trying to rush us out of there. My friend and I counted and we were asked 7 times throughout our meal if we were done when there was more than half of food still on our plate. Our server was absent throughout the entire meal only to come over halfway through the entree dish to see if we would like another drink. This is disappointing because I am getting married at The Rittenhouse Hotel next year and was considering this spot for my rehearsal dinner. I usually don't complain but it honestly became uncomfortable considering no other table around us was asked repetitively if they were finished. I probably will not go back.
The food was rather nice however the service was so poor. To the point where most of our drinking glasses were empty for upwards to 30 to 45 minutes only after chasing down later could we get a refill on our wine and or other drinks.
The ambience was absolutely gorgeous, our service was amazing. The food was so tasteful and filled with flavor but our portions were so small for what we payed for. I think the service made up for it. A great experience.
I was at Scarpetta over the summer with a group of friends and had a fabulous time, everything we had was delicious and the service was top notch. I then took my daughter back in October and was very disappointed. Dirty dishes sat on our table for entirely too long, they sat a party of 5 at a table for 4 which made it impossible for our waiter to get next to our table and we were never offered a refill on our drinks. The waiter had to hand food over my daughters shoulder. The food was fine but not nearly up to par with what we had over the summer. A disappointing evening after talking this place up so much to my daughter. We will be trying some thing new next time we are staying at the Rittenhouse.
Chef Mike is amazing! Every dish that we had was cooked to perfection. The lobster gnudi was my absolute favorite - I have never had anything quite like it. Chef mike even graced us with a dish not on the menu - an ancient Roman pasta recipe. I could not have asked for a better experience. They even brought out a special birthday desert for my partner and sat us at a romantic table by the window. Thanks for such an amazing night, We will definitely be returning !
Excellent food, service. Fish and pasta entrees are great!
Wonderful meal. Polenta was tasty, my black bass was excellent and my wife enjoyed her agnolotti. Excellent flavor. We shared the espresso bud ink for dessert which made for a great finish.
Food and service was amazing. The lobster burrata was enjoyed by everyone at the table and the octopus was a delicious appetizer. My lamb chops were incredible. Melted in my mouth. Good wine selection and great suggestion from their sommelier. Veggies that came with my wife’s roasted chicken was meh but only item that disappointed. We will definitely be back soon.
Food was outstanding. The lamb chops were the best I have ever had. We took mother in law their for 86th birthday. They pampered her, made her a special drink, We has pasta and fish also , by far one of the premier restaurants we have ever gone too. View was excellent, service excellent.
We will go again
Our dinner was amazing! Alex and Drew took great care of my wife and I. Great first impressions! Can’t wait to go again!
We ordered our steak medium rare. I was delivered medium well, actually closer to well. It was the days special, porterhouse for two. Didn’t want to send it back as it took so long to come out in the first place.
Deserts were good, except ice ice cream was freezer burned.
I expect better from a place like this.
My husband and I were in town for another event and even though it was restaurant week, we were able to get a reservation. We did take advantage of the restaurant week menu and the selections were great. My husband had the raw yellowtail app and I had the roasted beet salad. Both the presentation and flavor of each were excellent. We both had the tagliatelle pasta with meat sauce which was outstanding. Drew, the manager welcomed us and asked about our meal. We were also very impressed with our server as well as those who delivered our meals. I would highly recommend!
Excellent service great food. Enjoyed ourselves. A happy place a bit noisy
Food was excellent and great value, but service was a little messy (too many servers serving one table)
Great restaurant week experience. We had 3 courses as part of the featured dishes - polenta, bolognese, and chocolate soufflé for $35. The portions were decent size and the food was delicious. The bread selection for the act of “scarpetta” to clean the plate was definitely a stand out part of the experience.
Beautiful view from the window seating, great service, great food and a very nice ambiance!
Whenever visiting Philadelphia, Scarpetta is a must for dinner. To our surprise, it just happened to be Restaurant Week where a 3 course meal was only $35. The food was exceptional, as always. Our server, Alex, was so engaging and made our experience so much more enjoyable. Always and highly recommend!
Great food and service.
Everything was great! We’ll surely go back.
It was our anniversary and the team surprised us with a champagne and a nice note with the dessert
Ashley the bartender amazing!!
I loved it. Everyone made sure we felt like family. The food was amazing and the setting and view was amazing. I would love to come back
Amazing place to spend our anniversary! Food and service were top notch!
My boyfriend and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary here. They had complimentary champagne for us as well. It was wonderful!
Food here is perfect! Every component well thought out and delicious!
So sad that this restaurant did not meet any of my expectations. Pasta was NOT al dente, my friends filet has to go back 3 times, really nothing to remember. So so dissapontred
Beautiful views with delicious food. Highly recommend this gem.
Gluten free date who has extreme food allergies. Very accommodating kitchen.
Amazing cocktails. Service first rate
We had an amazing time at Scarpetta. We were there having a bachelorette dinner and the waiter, Geo, went over and beyond to make our evening special. The food was fantastic.
Wonderful! We received special attention and great service! Love this place even more for our second visit and will be back again and again! Very attentive!
The food here is top notch and the service is excellent.
Everything was yummy!!
Excellent service and great food. The bar on the 1st floor is beautiful. Sometimes it can be a little noisy but that’s because it can be crowded. Great place to meet people
Excellent! Chef Mike Laughlin loves his food and it shows! I came the first time for a chef’s dinner prix fixe. I forgot to mention that I was vegetarian beforehand. When I told the waiter after the 1st course, nobody mossed a beat! Mike “threw together” (his words) a portobello mushroom dish that I dreamt about for weeks, until I finally had a chance to return for more! I’m actually not a huge pasta person, although I really enjoyed the spaghetti course. The lavender cheesecake that was served for dessert was incredible! The next time I went back, I mentioned the mushrooms when I made the reservation b/c I wasn’t sure if they were actually on the menu. Got my mushrooms, and the chef also came out to tell me about the purple Brussels sprouts he picked up just that morning- also amazing!
I am definitely not into the Rittenhouse scene- its just not me. But, the restaurant feels very comfortable and laid back, while at the same time, fancy. The service is like clockwork.
In general, Scarpetta is one of my go-to restaurants when in Philadelphia because the food is exceptional. This time didn't disappoint once again. The duck and foie gras ravioli and crab meat gnocchi are our favorites. However, the service was terrible. Not sure if our server Geo was having a bad night or what but the guy refilling our water was more engaging. Not once did he ask how was the food or if there was anything we needed. I will definitely return to Scarpetta because it is a favorite and hope that the service is better next time.
The food was absolutely amazing and service was spectacular! The only thing I would comment is that my fiancé and I sat by the window and the window sill could have been dusted off or cleaned better. Nothing crazy, just food crumbs.
Food was overpriced and not good. I had been dying to try it but wasn’t impressed
