Wonderful restaurant. Our favorite Italian restaurant in NY. Great food. Plenty of options for meat eaters and vegetarians. Wonderful service too.

The new location is very nice, the food was good but not great and the portions were much smaller, we asked for more bread and they never brought it, salad 1 side and 2 short rib tortalini dinners 1 dessert, 3 drinks total and with tip over 215 and was still hungry.

This places deserves 1 star but I may round up to 2 stars because my server seemed nice but was definitely overworked as he was the only one in the entire front section, ridiculous imo

The maitre d was not the same but I did see him later, the guy with the glasses was terrible & didn't understand a simple request of giving a table in the main dining room even though I requested one after having been placed in a table with a draft of air coming on to me. Odd music and loud ambience of the front room were a big turn off

No vegetarian focacio? All three breads were equally bad 0/5

The prices are higher and the quality is not as good as it used to be

My creamy polenta was not hot but I was too irritated to send it back, I guy asked me two times if I was done? I guess they don't understand silverware etiquette 1/5

the time between when they cleared my first course and the arrival of the second course was long (20 minutes minimum)

The spagetti tasted great and was the best part of the meal 3/5

20 minutes after waiting for desert the waiter comes with the check? Wfh

I said I'm take a chocolate cake to go and booom the check came without a cake or on an apology, it was a waste of time and the irritation was priceless

People were randomly bring seated, getting up and leaving or moving around and there were too many hotel staff loitering around without paying attention to patrons

New York has plenty of great restaurants so I don't need to visit this hotmess & maybe that's why Scott Conant the founder is no longer affiliated with this place!!!

Very underwhelming. I made the reservation at the old location and was never told (even in the two texts and voicemail confirmation that I got) that the location had changed. Fortunately, a friend mentioned an email she got about the move, and I CALLED Scarpetta to confirm the move just a day ahead of my reservation date. Glad I didn’t show up to the wrong location. I used to love Scarpetta for their spaghetti, impeccable service and restaurant week menu and would consider myself a regular. I’ve celebrated birthdays and special occasions there and often recommended the restaurant to others. Not anymore. This time, we had to wait 20 minutes (in an awkward front dining area with no real place to stand without being in someone’s way) more than 20 minutes for a 6:30 reservation. Really? At 6:30? Once finally seated I asked to see the restaurant week menu. Turns out, although Scarpetta WAS on the restaurant week list when I made the reservation, apparently they’d pulled out and weren’t serving restaurant week anymore. The manager offered free dessert as a consolation. It might have worked, except service was awful. At one point our server offered to refill our bread basket and we obliged. 15 minutes and a first course later, still no bread. When he finally came back around, we reminded him - and 15 minutes after that, we got the bread. Also, glad you’re making gluten-free focaccia now, but I want the old bread back. It was much better with gluten. I realize the restaurant is likely going through some moving pains and I sympathize with that. But for now.. I’ll probably choose another restaurant to celebrate, enjoy and recommend. Scarpetta just isn’t it anymore. It’s a bummer, because it was once at the very top of my list.

Waited 25 minutes to be seated for an 8:30pm reservation. There is no real waiting area, so there was a growing crowd at the door. Reception staff not updating us on timing, but selectively chatting and saying hi to friends and ignoring everyone else put a damper on the entire meal for our group. Water glasses remained empty on two occasions for nearly 30 minutes each — absolutely inexcusable. With the exception of the sommelier, the general vibe of the staff, from reception to server to busboy, was that they're doing you a favor. Very annoying, and what a huge shame for a place that I've always loved. When you're charging nearly $30 for basic spaghetti with marinara (which was slightly overcooked), you shouldn't be making such avoidable mistakes.

My date and I where there for opening night at the new location in NoMad. We did get seated about 25 mins past our reservation time (we showed up 10 minutes prior to our reservation time) but I attributed the delay to the new location opening. Even though it wasn't a part of restaurant week, the food and drinks were spectacular. Pretty obvious, but highly recommend the famous spaghetti; a simple yet delicious. Also highly recommend the chocolate dessert cake. Overall, great venue for a date.

We have been to this location and the Las Vegas Location before and it is always a fabulous experience. We especially love the mushroom polenta appetizer. This time I had the best mezzaluna, which was fantastic- a completed unique dish! We eat at the restaurant whenever we visit New York.

The food was very good, but the service was odd. Too attentive at times and forgetful at other times.
The menu was explained in an exhaustive way that felt patronizing. But then, our wine was slow to arrive.
And, were definitely rushed to place our orders and to finish promptly.

Second time in a month. Once before the holidays, once after. Enzo is the best. The three of us shared appetizers and a double pasta second course. Awesome!
Each had a different entree and no complaints. Fish entrees were creative as was a perfectly cooked lamb dish.
Enzo adds a bit of “old school” ( which is great ) to a great vibe!
Only downside ( if you call it one ) is that the music was way loud adding to a noisy room. Turning it dow just a bit won’t hurt the energy of the place!!!

Amazing food; plates are somewhat small so I recommend an appetizer and or dessert. The chocolate cake is one of the best I’ve ever had. They’re known for their spaghetti (it’s incredible) and we also had the short ribs pasta, which I was very impressed by. Will absolutely go again. Service was attentive and very kind.

Despite making a reservation weeks ago for the restaurant, we were seated in the bar area. It was extremely noisy and we sat next to the poorly insulted windows on a bitter cold evening. It was not the dining experience I had hoped for

Dining at Scarpetta was a disappointment. Made reservations because wanted a good Italian meal and this did not meet the standard. The food was mediocre, the pasta overcooked, the capretto meat was very tough, the Colorado lamb had no taste, and the high price did not justify the quality. Service was attentive and the ambiance nice.
Because the negative experience was not limited to one dish, we would not go back.

We found this on open table and loved the menu. It was delicious!! Hand made pastas. We shared a market salad and two pasta dishes - the squid ink tagliolini and the duck and foie gras ravioli. The ravioli was decadent. We were still a little hungry and dessert sounded amazing to me but we decided to try another spot for variety. Should have stayed for the flourless chocolate cake. I would go back and would definitely recommend.

Had wanted to done here for a while. While on a trip I was able to make it. It wasn’t that busy shortly after opening but about halfway through our meal it started to get busy which was around 6:30 or so probably. Overall the waiter was friendly, service was good, food was good. I think I had slightly higher expectations of the food than we received but that could be my fault. I really enjoyed the decor and building. It was one of my favorite parts of the experience.

Some of the best scallops I had was here, the dessert that I got, double baked lemon cake, they used goat milk for the milk jam.. which I did not like and wish they described on the menu. Goat milk is not for everyone.

The spaghetti, had so much basil which I love, but couldnt really taste any other flavors. The tuna wrap appetizer, was a little bland and needed more of the truffle mushroom sauce.
