Our server was friendly but not totally astute. Perhaps new to the job.
except for the fact that next table being too close to us and overhearing every conversation. Also not all tables seem to have this issue.
I love to visit Scarpetta when i'm in town, the meal was terrific as usual, the service started out strong, but then our waitstaff disappeared. We had to flag down staff for water refills and to order dessert. It was a disappointing experience after looking forward to dinner with friends.
Very good place but foods portion realy small. See you then
Delicious as always! Great crowd and atmosphere!
The cod and the lobster pasta are great. Fun atmosphere and great service, too.
Lovely! Many thanks!
The short rib pasta is out of this world amazing! The classic spaghetti is a dish they’re known for an extremely tasty along with the polenta.
Amazing food. Best spaghetti of all time. Get the yellowtail!! Get the chocolate cake!!
It was fairly loud but our area was quieter. Something came out cold and it was immediately replaced.
Closest thing to perfection I’ve ever witnessed. I am 62, a former vineyard/wine company CEO so I have had the opportunity to eat at some of the finest establishments in the country. This is right there at the top to me.
Killer Italian wine list. Our party (4 people) had two bottles of the Antinori Tiganello - a super Tuscan favorite of mine. Sommelier was spot on and was highly focused on making sure everything we had - food and wine - was managed to perfection. It was clear he was enjoying himself and loved his work.
Food was super. I have this thing about top of the line restaurants. I want to see if they have the discipline to make something simple while also making it great. I don’t want to be pandered to with something gimmicky - no armadillo pesto with Himalayan albino pine nuts, thank you. To me that is the sign of a chef with more ambition than confidence. I had the pasta main course with fresh basil and sauce. It was perfect. Simple, delicate and disciplined. That is the sign of a confident kitchen.
I will be back at Scarpetta. Soon.
You should too!
Excellent service and delicious food!
Very noisy, in a high energy way. Food is superb but overpriced for the small portions. A $20 glass of wine should not be a stingy pour.
Excellent service and food is outstanding. Be prepared to be crammed in if you're a two top. I'll be going with four people next time to avoid that. Otherwise, a great restaurant.
It was amazing place. Stylish interior, good location, beautiful dishes, comfortable music and delicious food/drinks. I enjoyed the lunch so much and will visit again with my dear friends.
Went to Scarpetta during a girls trip last weekend and we had an excellent visit!
It started off a little rocky as we waited over 30 minutes past our reservation time. I don’t believe we were properly checked in upon arrival. They graciously made up for it with Prosecco and appetizers. Our service last that was superb and the meal was great. Would return!
We went to celebrate two birthdays. The service was wonderful and the food and drinks were so good. It was full of beautiful people and great music.
We arrived very late and were afraid we would be turned away. Everyone at the front was so nice. After a short wait, they were able to find us a table. Thank you for the wonderful birthday dinner. GREAT STAFF!! The food was delicious and the risotto is a must
The waiter we had was not attentive and self centered...
The fish was not good...but salads were great...average meal.
And Corner booth very uncomfortable
Okay food, nothing special.
Great service, great food - will return soon!
The food overall was good but I thought some dishes were better than others, the price was high for the quality.
Appetizers were very small.
The service was outstanding.
Desserts were the highlight of the evening
Truly a phenomenal experience. Went for my birthday and had exceptional service and brought out a birthday desert!
fOOD AND SERVICE QUITE GOOD. THE BAR AREA WHICH SERVES FOOD AS WELL IS VIBRANT.
ONE COMPLAINT IS SEATING AREAS ARE TOO SMALL ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A TWO SPOT (COUPLE). RECOMMEND GOING WITH A GROUP OF FOUR OR MORE TO BE SEATED IN A MORE COMFORTABLE CONFIGURATION.
Unbelievable food, our waitress gave us recommendations for which plates to order since we were sharing among a table of 5. Amazing wine selection and overall fun atmosphere.
Went to Scarpetta one weekend to try a different restaurant, we go to the same old all the time, and enjoyed it so much we went back either the next weekend or the following one. Not only was everything just as good, our waitress, Lily, remembered us and what we ate and drank. Now we can't stop going, and the other waitresses we've had have all been as good. Even though it is on the expensive side, it is well worth the money and I highly recommend a visit to Scarpetta.
We were visiting NYC and wanted a great Italian place and we found it! We started with the raw scallops - that was new for us and they were DELICIOUS! Then we had the short rib ravioli and the oxtail pasta. Both were amazing. Highly recommend.
food is good but overpriced for what you get (quantity and quality). There are better high end Italian restaurants for handmade/fresh pastas.
Bustling on a Thursday night, good looking crowd, great food but way too painfully noisy. No sound insulation at all, and lots of hard corners for noise to bounce in. Would think twice about going back just bc of how loud it was.
Food was amazing! Very loud. Service was good and staff made great recommendations.
Amazing food, from apps to pasta and entree’s. 5 stars for service. Very professional and attentive.
Great food. Pricey with small portions but worth it. They don't open until 5:30 and won't seat you until after 5:30. By the time we closed the tab at the bar (you can't transfer it) and sat down, it was close to 6pm. The waiter also didn't seem too interested in us (very nice and wanted to give space I guess), but there was always someone walking by to help. Will def come back here though because the food is amazing. Love the new location on madison as well.
Pasta was under seasoned, appetizers were cold. Wrong orders broght to the table.
We had a wonderful experience. Our guests all enjoyed their meals! Next time we will eat in the bar, the dining room was too loud for me. Everyone had a dandy time!
Never disappoints.great food, service and vibe. Will always be a returning customer.
Incredible service! Very attentive staff and delicious food!
Montauk one is much better. City location was sort of a letdown. The black cod was mehhh.
Service was excellent. Food was very good. The braised octopus appetizer was one of the best things we have had. We ordered one to share and it was so good we ordered another. I will put this restaurant on my list for our next visit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Scarpetta. Cocktails at the bar prior to dinner were awesome and the bartenders are engaging and fun. Our waiter at dinner was extremely friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and efficient. Everyone enjoyed their menu choices and preparation requests were expertly honored. Portions are on the small side so we ordered sides of spaghetti and veggies to share. We dined early and the room can get loud especially as the evening goes on and it gets more crowded (it was a Friday so lots of happy hour patrons).
