Some of the best Italian I have had in the city and a price that won’t break the bank. Waitstaff was professional and approachable. High end dinning void of a pretentious atmosphere.

My husband and I are avid Food Network fans ... when we saw this restaurant on 'The best thing I've ever eaten with sauce" show we knew we had to try it out. The spaghetti was outstanding ... My husband is a meat-eater and was convinced he'd never like spaghetti and sauce without meat. He was wrong!! We both loved it. We had another first by ordering a non-chocolate dessert! The lemon cake dessert is wonderful even for two diehard chocoholics!! Service was impeccable, everyone very nice and efficient. Portions of the main courses are small, our beet salad was more than enough for two. We will definitely return

Food was outstanding. Although we had to wait 30 minutes beyond our reservation time, they were very apologetic and more than made up for the mistake. These things happen, but I was impressed with how it was dealt. Excellent service.

Standard mid town fiance crowd dinner spot. Great service, decent food and over priced wine list. the place is a little dated overall but they mean well.

Foods and wines are so delicious! they have a good service with knowledge. It's so perfect for casual/business dinner. I would come back for a lobster nero pasta.

This place is a shadow of its former self. The pasta was overcooked. Short rib and marrow ravioli tasted flat and was dying for any salt or texture. The bread service was cold and old.

When I arrived at the restaurant, the hostess could not find my reservation. I checked again, maybe I did not press enter??? I made another reservation. Hostess said there may be a glitch, she said there was no reservation listed. She was, however, able to seat us. We were a party of four and were seated at a small table set for four. I asked if one of the many available booths were an option for us, she said they were reserved. It was a rainy Sunday night, the restaurant was empty bar one other couple. I asked if all three were reserved thinking maybe she was mistaken. She said she could not seat us there. We sat at our very small table and had a delicious meal. We had spaghetti, braised octopus, and duck ravioli among other dishes. The spaghetti was awesome. The waiter dropped some utensils on my back...he thought it was funny. It was not. His apology was..."my bad" . Despite the reception, I love a good meal and good company, we ate and drank for 2 and a half hours.....Great wine list! We left the restaurant with all the booths still empty. Maybe next time? There are a lot of great restaurants in NYC.

The food was absolute perfection. The service was available but not intrusive, always there when we thought we might need something. All of the food was really phenomenal. The exact experience I want from an expensive restaurant, actually seems worth it. Thank you!

Anniversary

Overall very nice with excellent service. A bit too loud made it difficult for talking without speaking directly to our party of 4 w 7:30pm reservations. Kitchen ran out of my first 3 choices which disappointed me, so early in the pm. A bit pricey. Would go back though.

The braised short rib and bone marrow Agnolotti dish is my favorite!! My daughter loves the spaghetti and the Tuna Susci. Got dessert for the first time here and the sorbet and lava cake were delicious. I do not visit NY without getting at least one meal here.

Meal and service was great but way to rushed to get you in and out. Quite a shame and feels way to pressured

The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous, but the food was mediocre at best. Super expensive not literally no reason. I went there four my friends birthdays and we each got a different pasta dish - all of them were extremely bland. They also charged us for the "surprise dessert" they brought us and the server was strange. Definitely not somewhere I would take people too again unless all they care about is how nice the place looks... sad.

We had to wait for the table a little more than normal, but the food was beyond delicious and the service so great as well. They didn’t charge us desserts for making us wait for the table, so they really made up for it. Really recommend the place!

Nice room and excellent service but I found myself wishing the food was better. I wanted to love it but the overall experience had a slightly chain restaurant feel to it that I couldn't quite shake.

Great dinner, great server, delicious food. I had a 9 pm reservation and was seated 30 minutes late - wouldn’t have been a big deal, but no apology or acknowledgement of the delay was made; perhaps that’s the vibe they’re going for, but it’s not my style.

I’d return, with set expectations!

Scarpetta is overall great. My husband and I were celebrating, so we ordered all our favorites: seared scallops, short ribs, spaghetti, lobster tagliolini, Wagyu steak, lemon cake, and chocolate cake. Flavors and execution were on point.

This was the first time we didn’t have a five-star experience to match the food. Our waiter just wasn’t super attentive, which meant uncomfortably long waits between courses, and the table we had was so cold and drafty that it actually affected the food; I thought I just misremembered the temperature our favorite appetizers are served at, but our pasta was straight up cold by the time we scooped it onto our plates and had a bite, and our Wagyu steak was too chilled for me to enjoy after two bites. My husband NEVER gets cold, and even he said it was too cold for his liking. I’d chalk it up to the sudden temperature drop today, but our waiter had actually made a comment about the food getting cold if we asked them to split the steak for us instead of having it served whole, so that makes me think this may be a consistent problem. I literally put my coat on at the table, and told the waiter it was really chilly when he saw my coat and asked if I was cold.

That being said, I will be giving them another try in hopes that it was just a bad night.

Phenomenal service! Incredible food but really, the service set this meal apart.

the service staff was fumbling all over them selves. we were there with a very important customer and they looks clumsy in almost every encounter. they interupted us multiple times. we were one of the first ones to sit since we had an early reservations and it was clear we were there to talk business. but the wait staff continuously interupted someone speaking which i thought was out of place for that nice of a restaurant. they also brought us some food twice, meaning that didnt coordinate that someone already brought us the food, someone brough more of the same...anyways, could have been much better at a restauarant at these price points. a dinner for 4 was almost 5-600 bucks so i would expect the service to be totally on point!

Our server Craig was spectacular and so thoughtful around my friend’s allergies to “all spices and herbs”
