Way way overpriced no wine less than $75!!!
For four people we spent $500.
My 18-year-old son left hungry.
Presentation was beautiful but if you’re looking for a lot of food this is not the place this is an art deco pay a lot for a little food. You pay for presentation decoration and service also the restaurant was pretty empty🌈
Food was unique and spectacular. Service was excellent, above and beyond.
Very good service and experience. Thank you
Food was I little salty. We changed for another food
One of the worst dining experiences that my wife and I have had in Miami. And the most expensive. The food was not memorable and lacked savory taste. The wine list was extensive but way over priced for the quality. This is the first time that Zagat has let us down. Shameful really. And extremely disappointing.
ALways a wonderful meal with fabulous service. Enjoy going to this restaurant-it never gets old~
Extraordinary desserts and cheese
Overpriced, pretentious & at best mediocre. Hands up the worst dining experience we have had in a very long time.
Visit Scarpetta every time I come to Miami. The food is fantastic as always! The drinks are amazing too!
We had a wonderful meal at Scarpetta. The spaghetti was delicious. The pasta was homemade and our waiter Victor was polite, courteous and a great conversationalist. Overall, a great experience!
Table full of children were wild and unruly. Kids who misbehave do not belong in a nice restaurant.
Perfect service great food
Good food but poor service and unfriendly hostess
service was awesome from reservation throughout...staff was always there but never in the way......food was great
Reservation was at 8:30p and we didn’t get served until 10:45. The restaurant was not full and there really wasn’t any acknowledgement that we’d just been sitting there for hours until I asked for a status update around 10:15p. I was told food would be out in a few minutes but it wasn’t. We asked to talk to manager who made excuse about a lot of orders being put in at once. In the end we were giving 20% off bill but that’s only because we complained.
I love Scarpetta- we have been coming every year on my birthday for the past 6 years. The food is always excellent but unfortunately the service this time was lousy!! We started with a drink at the bar and Daniel the bartender was wonderful!! After we sat down, The beginning of the meal moved fine, but after we placed our Maincourse orders it took over 45 minutes for them to come out… And it was just pasta. It took forever for the server to come back and the manager came over and reassured us that our meal would be wonderful but didn’t offer to help us out with anything like a glass of wine or dessert for our poor service. The table next to us got a bottle of wine ploped down opened but with no glasses for at least 20 minutes. It must have been an off night because it was extremely disappointing
Very disappointed in 2 things:
1) table / floor was extemely slanted
2) seafood dish loaded with shell particles. Hurt my teeth on first bite. They replaced the dish, but did not offer any type of discount
The quality of the food varied widely across the table. The appetizers were excellent - the grilled octopus and the fritto misto were amazing. but some of the entrees were small and/or mediocre - the veal chop was dry and the short rib agnolotti was small, mushy and low in flavor. The noise level was out of control. It was unbearable. (And we live in NYC and have high tolerance for noise.) There were several large, loud parties screaming and using their phones to record with the flash which blinded us. The staff said there was nothing they could do. They said we could move midway through our meal. The staff evidenced fake concern. We spoke to the manager who also seemed unconcerned. To add insult to injury, we were forced to pay an 18% gratuity for more like 10% service. (And we would normally tip 20%.) The best thing I can say of the meal was they regularly filled our water glasses. With a regular customer who was unhappy, they could have done something to take care of us. Even if they comped the dessert, that would have shown some caring. If they can’t or don’t want to restrict large loud parties, then create a party/event room or ask diners where they want to sit when they arrive, instructing them about which rooms are noise/quieter. We have come here every time we visited Miami. I will never go back.
Retirement and promotion party. I would have preferred that with a party of 10 and so much room and open tables that the table setting wasn’t so squished. There were two seats at each end of the head of the table which wasn’t comfortable.
Loved our waiter, Raul! Great food, nice restaurant in a fabulous hotel
I have been dining at Scarpetta for years, and have been to multiple locations including New York City, Las Vegas, and now, Miami. The service is impeccable. The staff is very cordial, and very accessible. The pasta's are made in house which makes it all that much more delicious. And you MUST try the spaghetti if you have never had it here. I know it's just spaghetti, but you will never look at spaghetti the same after trying this.
If you have not visited a Scarpetta, you better go and make a reservation STAT.
I feel that Scarpetta has excellent food that is a bit overpriced for the dishes it serves. Great bread and excellent service.
The food was fantastic. The pastas were pricey, but I wouldn't hesitate to order the tomato basil spaghetti, or the short rib agnolotti again; they were both unbelievable. The scallop appetizer was delicious but rather small in portion size. The coconut panna cotta was awesome, but a very big portion considering the portion sizes of the rest of the meal.
The service was above average. I felt a bit rushed in ordering wine, which I though was due to our main course arriving to the table shortly there after. Instead, I gulped down my rum manhattanesque cocktail in anticipation for my meal and corresponding wine. The wine showed up 2 min later and the food 10. I know this is nitpicky, but this slightly detracted from the experience.
We were also encouraged to order a bottle of still water, but we're only poured tap water by the server assistant after the initial pouring from our server.
The only upsetting part of the meal was the ambiance. We arrived for our 9:00 reservation to a mostly empty dining room, and were set on the closed patio over looking the hotel pool on a rather stormy evening next to a family with a child that began screaming 20 minutes into our meal for about 15 min until they left. We weren't mad at the kid, it was 9:30ish and this 2 year old was sitting through what was supposed to be a fine dining experience. In addition, we had been worried that our attire wasn't formal enough ( pressed jeans with a button down, while my wife wore ac dress). Our fears were relieved once we saw a family join the dining room in a t shirt, and what appeared to be beach wear.
To finish off the meal, we were auto grated for 18% with no warning. As a 2 top, this is abnormal in my dining experience, but we did not know the area norms so we didn't mind (other than almost double tipping). I just a few bucks to give the server the 20% he justly deserved.
It was a delicious, but weird experience. I think I would have enjoyed this better in Vegas.
The place is great and accommodating. We enjoyed our food from the appetizer’s to dessert. Waiters are attentive and polite and ask about any food allergies.
We love eating at Scarpetta when we visit Miami. It’s a must every time.
Food was excellent.
Service was over the top - second to none.
And it was one of the few restaurants, even if others take note, where the young lady who brought us to our table said, “here is what you Open Table profile says where you like to sit. Let me show you that and decide if you like there or somewhere else”.
I was very impressed by that.
Not an inexpensive evening.
But you know that going in.
So knowing that I would say good value for the money, and treated super well all evening long.
The food and the service were outstanding at Scarpetta. The sommelier helped us select memorable wines to pair with the delicious food. One of our dining companions has celiac and they even make fresh gluten free pasta daily. I had the duck and foie gras ravioli that was sensational. The noise level was significant but otherwise it was a magnificent meal and I will definitely come back.
Scarpetta’s is a step above the rest their service is unmatched
Wonderful dinner, service was excellent. It was a bit too cold inside though for both my husband and myself. Definitely would come back again, but would bring a sweater.
Everything we ordered was delicious! Highly recommend!
Awesome experience, superb service from beginning to end.
Food was outstanding. The server, John was an asset to this restaurant. He was knowledgeable, friendly and cognizant of our surroundings. ALL if the help was great and polite...
Nice buffet for Mother’s Day
Fantastic Mother's Day Brunch! My mom and I really enjoyed it.
We went for our anniversary dinner. They did not disappoint, one of the best restaurants we've been to in a while. Great food, service and ambience. Highly recommend
Long drive from Coral Springs but fabulous food and great ocean view. Wonderful evening!
My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary and had an amazing time here. I have food allergies and our server Victor went above and beyond. At the end of our meal, the kitchen sent out a complimentary anniversary dessert. It was very thoughtful and cute. We will definitely be back!
We brought our 10 month old and the staff was excellent and very accommodating. The food was amazing!
It was a wonderful experience. Food, Service, Ambiance was all first class. Would highly recommend to anyone.
