View Private Dining DetailsThis was a return visit we were looking forward to. Dinner was great, waiter was professional and friendly, ambiance is special.
The waiters/waitresses were very busy so the restaurant manager went out of his way to make our evening very enjoyable.
The food is was excellent. Service and ambience also excellent
I waited a while for everything . After finally getting my pasta dishes, I waited 15 minutes for the waiter to come over . He asked "how was everything" I replied " we are not done eating, didn't even start, waiting for the Parmesan cheese" I just wasnt happy with the service , the drink and the food.
I have been here before and when I ended up in Miami on my birthday, decided this is where I wanted to celebrate. Unbelievable food! My husband and I split the black truffle pasta with butter and Parmesan cheese, topped with fresh shaved truffles and and creamy truffle sauce. Definitely one of the best and might I add most expensive things I have ever eaten. We decided instead of entrees to order several appetizers. The creamy polenta was amazing, Mediterranean octopus cooked perfectly with olives and potatoes that added a nice salty punch. The tuna crudo was good but not my favorite and the burrata was delicious. Service was great and they quietly (no singing) brought my dessert out with a candle and happy birthday written on the plate. Definitely a must go to restaurant. Pricey, but worth it!
The full tasting menu was perfection and great value for only 95$!!!
Was so disappointed in Scarpetta. The food was really not edible. We all ordered the tuna tartare, it literally was just tuna, no spice or flavor to it. Then the meals... pumpkin ravioli, completely over cooked, very mushy and a very bad taste, octopus, couldn’t chew it, braised short rib over noodles, was fair but pasta was over cooked. Service was poor, we were in the back and there was only 1 waiter. Interesting group of people at Scarpetta, mostly couples, fun to see what people were wearing. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Fantastic meal with great service, even during the winter holiday crowds. The menu specials were our favorite courses, in particular the black truffle pasta. Very generous blanket of actual truffles rather than truffle oil on this course.
Delicious NOISEY!!!!! Filled with children
Left after appetizer
Bad and over priced food.
Wonderful service and food as usual.
Simply outstanding from beginning to end. From the professional waitstaff to the presentation of the meal, this is hands down one of the finest Italian restaurants I have eaten at in America. The plating is creative and the taste combinations dance across your tastebuds. The chef’s tasting menu gives a range of his talents and they are quite impressive.
The staff was more than accommodating and everything is made to order. Well worth the experience if you are in the Miami Beach area.
We booked a table for 930pm and arrived at 920 .To be asked to wait at the doorway until our table was ready .We did so for twenty minutes with quite a lot of other disruntled clients who stood up too.We decided to walk into the the bar area and waited until 10pm to be seated .We received no apology or explanation as to why we were seated so late on having booked beforehand .This was our first night at the Fontainebleau and it was a theme that continued throughout our stay .The service seemed substandard for what is classed as a highly rated hotel .Chaos is probably the correct words to choose sadly .
Scarpetta is one of our fav’s! Whether in NYC or Vegas too. Would have given 5 stars but the bar AC was blowing right on most seats. We ate at the bar but were frozen. Even those just there for drinks were uncomfortable. Just needs some adjusting!
Atmosphere was nice but the food was overrated. It's not as great as it's hyped up to be. I had yellowtail crudo, spaghetti, branzino and although it was good, it wasn't what I was expecting from this renowned restaurant.
The food hammers horrible last night.
They could not even get a birthday cake delivered to my table for wife’s birthday. It was a cake from the hotel the resteraunt is in and I even alerted the hostess upon arrival!! Not good service at all!!
Go for the food. First the bad: we wanted to sit outside and called ahead to inquire and were seated on the terrace...which is fully enclosed (it appears that large windows can be opened but they were not on this occasion). The regular dining room was richly appointed ; the terrace reminded me of eating at an Appleby's or some other inelegant establishment: bright lights, LOT's of kids and babies, etc (and admittedly we were there at 6:30 as nothing else was available). I wish the lights were dimmed and windows opened (the weather was fine).
The wait staff was rushed and uninspired; nothing bad but nothing notable.
The food is consistently good and is THE reason to go.
Recommended dishes include the polenta with mushrooms; short rib ravioli; and spaghetti with tomato-basil sauce. Consider getting it "to go."
Sommelier was great, btw.
The food was bad - the octupus with brusceta was burned . The table was not ready for 8 o’clock . The Service was very slow - overall i don’t recommend for this value
We went there for Christmass eve and everything was perfect! We ate the burrata for starter, then the foi grass ravioli and pici pasta and all the dishes were excellent. The service is amazing. We ordered a wine that was out of stock and so they offered a new and better one for the same price. Even though the restaurant closes at 11, they let us stay until 12:30. Everyone was really friendly and polite. I will definitely return!
The food is really good. The air conditioning was too high, we were freezing the whole time.
Hands down the best pasta in Miami! Everything was delicious. And the service is efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Highly Reccomend.
Awesome meal. Great. The polenta was unbelievable - the pasta excellent. Would strongly recommend if you like Italian.
Our food was underwhelming.
Every thing was amazing. The food was so amazing and delicious. The service was very individualized and attentive. Would totally recommend for every one to try. Only regret was that Scott Conant was not there.
I have been to Scarpetta several times. Food is very good. My only comment is that it remains the same. I don’t see a significant improvement in the menu. they need to come up with new, surprising stuff.
Service was fantastic! Delicious!
We went to Scarpetta for my boyfriend’s birthday to try the food for the first time. It was delicious and almost too beautiful to eat. John, our server, was attentive and knowledgeable. He even helped me make the night special by singing happy birthday along side me so I didn’t do it alone. The ambiance was homey, elegant, but spacious. We sat in the patio area which had the beautiful view of the ocean. We really enjoyed the food and the service.
Have been here a couple of time and the food and service are outstanding.
I can't recommend this restaurant enough. The food is so delicious and the service is exceptional - they really make you feel special for dining there. As simple as it sounds, do not miss the Spaghetti. It's perfection.
Bad service, food (pasta) was awfull, raw, sauce without flavour; very expensive for a place like that , bad decoration, not cozy, never come back again
For the price and location they really should step up their game. It was a tuesday night and there weren't that many tables, and yet service took longer than desirable especially given the amount of staff. When the food arrived, the fish courses were overcooked and room temperature.
Wonderful ! The polenta and the duck ravioli are amazing !
Loved the Ambiance! Tasty Food,,our server was helpful
A beautiful place with great food and service but it was too cold and they weren't able to correct it. They said that they called engineering but nothing changed.
It was great! Food and service was excellent. We will definitely go back.
Polenta with mushroom friccassee is really amazing! Great wine list
Sorprendido por la mala atención de los mozos , ha ido decayendo con el tiempo , era un Restaurant increíble .
Delicious pasta - wonderful entrees. Wait staff solicitous- wine list expensive
Not impressed. We went at 6:30 pm for dinner. We ordered 4 meals and only 1 meal was really good. The appetizers were not impressive. For app we ordered truffle mushrooms and they came with this sauce that tasted like pure heavy whipping cream. Tuna tartar was good, but very small portion for the price. Really expensive for tiny portions and mediocre food. We went to stripsteak at the Fountainbleau much later and had amazing food there!
