Great food, all had something different and all enjoyed it. Good service.. would definitely recommend
A nice break from the beachfront hotels. The red interior with Andy Warhol prints gives the place a unique feel for Barbados. Overall, the food and service was very good. I’d recommend the Jerk Chicken
We always try and go to Scarlet, the cocktails are great - Moscow Mule - the staff are friendly and the food tastes excellent. Had the blackened catch of the day and home made doughnuts for dessert.
One of the best restaurants in barbados! Food amazing with friendly staff. The restaurant is very accommodating (we were 15 mins late)
Got to have the fried chicken, and nothing else all day as the portions are huge!
Fish pie was very nice but had only one type of fish - most likely mahi mahi. Would have been a little more interesting with the odd prawn thrown in! Overall a good experience.
Fantastic food, vibe & service. Would return for sure!
Great vibe, terrific food, staff was super friendly and made us feel so comfortable. A great mix of comfort food with a Bajan flair. Don't miss it.
Scarlet was recommended by a fellow guest and we were not disappointed. The outside is Scarlet very simple and gives you no real idea of what to expect.
The inside is WOW scarlet with pictures of Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Kennedy. Great bar with lots of cocktail making.
We were quickly shown to our seats and provided with an extensive drinks list including an abundance of cocktails which we worked our way hrough.
The food menu was varied with several specials and the hardest decision was to make a choice.
Cocktails were amazing and the food delicious lots of local ingredients - we chose a mix of tasty starters then for Main Bajan sausage, fish pie and salmon skewers .All were well cooked and served with thought.
A great find- do not judge from the outside - book you will not be disappointed.
Scarlet is Fun Friendly and Fab. We eat here every time we stay at the Tamarind hotel in Barbados.
What a fantastic place, it’s a shame I didn’t discover it sooner. The food , the service , the atmosphere are amazing. If you come to Barbados you’ve definitely got to go there. Definitely as good a place as the more well known restaurants.
Very good drinks! Olives starter was delicious. Veggie curry was Ok. Packed so make reservations.
We booked a table for dinner on the last night of our holiday on pure chance and wish we had tried earlier in the holiday - we would have been back several more times! The whole experience was exceptional and the menu diverse offering a full range to suit all palates. So different from the bog standard offerings on pretty much all of the other 'top' restaurants on west coast. Food was beautifully cooked and presented, service incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. Oh and one final thing for the old fogies amongst us .... no children after 7pm! Don't go home without a visit here!
We vacationed in Barbados and selected this restaurant based on reviews. Absolutely fantastic, super attentive service by really nice people, fantastic cocktail menu. My husband and I each had to have two "Alimonys" :))) Food was amazing, creative menu, adventurous and delicious. We will be going back to Barbados in November and Scarlett will definitely be reserved again. If you go you MUST try the fried chicken. I'm dreaming of it now as I write this!
Loved the casual vibe too, tired of the overly formal "Cliffs and Tides" type of dining on the Island. No disrespect to those two establishments but we like to just chill and enjoy great food. Not into pomp and fuss! If you feel the same go to Scarlett!
I can see how this could be a neat place to go for a drink. The service was great very friendly. I was not impressed by the food or the cocktails. It was very$$$ for the quality and quantity of food. I was very keen to try it but was sadly not thrilled.
We had a really lovely meal myself, husband and 12 year old daughter. Would highly recommend. Service was good, and had a good atmosphere. Will definitely return
A must if you are staying on the west coast. Don’t judge a book by its cover! Service and food where excellent. Noise level was a bit high but would definitely recommend!
Our second visit only. Can not believe we have never done at Scarlett’s before. Really enjoy followed by a cut by Amber Lee?d it. We spend 4 months of the year in Barbados so will definitely go regularly.
I’ve wanted to visit for many years and finally got to go - it was as lovely as I had hoped
I had the fish pie, it was excellent and piping hot. The portion was perfect.
Good food but way overpriced. Small fish pie(mostly potatoes and cream with a little bit of fish on the bottom) is USD 30.
A great night out, everybody appeared to have a great time. The lamb shank was to die for, the must have been 6 foot tall. Everyone must visit at least once, a big thank you to all the staff.GREAT
This was my third time at Scarlett and they definitely do not disappoint when it comes to food and especially customer service.
Brilliant food.Nothing to look at from outside, but great interior.Would recommend.
Cocktails were watered down. Ordered fish pie. Got a soup bowl full of mashed potatoes and five (yes, I was counting at that point) small pieces of fish at the bottom. The ingredients would have costs less than two dollars to make at home. They charged $56 Barbados dollars.
The ambiance was nice. A little strange with Andy Warhol prints of JFK's wife Jackie O on one wall and JFK's mistress Marilyn Monroe on the other
Scarlet is a must whenever we visit Barbados. Staff and music brilliant and food to suit all tastes. We love it!
Went here with wife and 2 sons (15 and 18) as we were staying just up the road, so thought we'd give it a try. It is just a red shack from the outside, but inside is very modern and tasteful and it has a good feel to it. Staff very friendly, as usual in Barbados.
The starters were decent enough, but the burgers were superb. The blue cheese and onion burger was the best I've ever had, and the others loved theirs too.
Prices were similar to other restaurants of this type (a step up from beach bars, but a step down from the gastro restaurants) and was BBD 280 for 2 starters, 2 beers, 2 cokes and 4 mains.
My only quibble is the 12.5% service charge - pretty much everywhere in Barbados adds this mandatory stealth tax to the bill, regardless of whether service is good or not! It's normally only 10%, so I think Scarlets are getting a little ahead of themselves by charging extra. They would be better off sticking to 10% and up their prices slightly, as it then isn't so obvious.
This is a mid-range priced restaurant with excellent food and cocktails. Booking essential.
As always great food and service. Love this place!
Restaurant didn't have our reservation, but was able to fit us in, which was good. We flown into Barbados that day and having pre booked at Scarlett's via Opentable for our evening meal we thought everything was organised!!
The meal was good and would like to have returned but they were closed on Good Friday.
Been a while since I have been there and pleased to say that the food was as good as ever.
We ate very early so there were quite a few families in there with kids. But that didn't interfere with enjoying ourselves.
This is a great option when you would like a change from the traditional Bajan standards. You can get grilled catch if the day if that's what you crave, but you can also get one of the best burgers on the island, a terrific steak, delicious Asian noodle salad, a decadent goat cheese soufflé...plus, their mojito is the best of any we've tried anywhere.
