First I want to say the host who seated us was very friendly and genuine. When our server did come over, finally, she had no personality and was just "doing her job". We ordered my husband had the Shepard’s Pie and enjoyed it very much. I had the Al Fresco with Capellini pasta it had no flavor but the chicken on it was good- could of also made the chicken at home, The Crab Rangoon Dip dish was delicious!!!, I would highly recommend this. The table next to us was talking SO loud and was annoying what was worse was no one said anything to them, our server was at our table maybe 3 times; for original order, dessert and the bill. She never asked if our food was ok or anything else. Over all the experience was just bla and I would not go back again. We went in the winter and the view wasn't as pretty as I am sure it would be in the warmer seasons. I do think under different circumstances dining here would / could be amazing just not this time we went and it left a bad impression on us. PS it was our anniversary and nothing was mentioned or said to us. That was a little disappointing.

High end restaurants are either improving or declining. Scarlet Kitchen has improved by leaps and bounds. Their Valentine's special was the best experience ever for them. We'll be back soon! Hopefully this team can hold together, as they are at the top of my Minnesota dining experience list currently. The whole package. Wow!

Everyone was so friendly and helpful..appetizers looked so good I definitely over ordered.. pretzels were the bomb as was the crab Rangoon. Everyone was very impressed with their entrees as well!! Had breakfast the next morning there as well and the selection and flavors were fantastic!!

My wife and I enjoyed a quiet dinner at Scarlet during a weeknight stay at the St. James Hotel. Service was friendly and prompt, our Old Fashioneds well made, and the food well prepared and reasonably priced.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a stay at the St. James and dinner at Scarlet. We were treated to champagne and dessert, which was such a lovely touch. Dinner was delicious, and the service excellent.

We throughly enjoyed our evening at the Scarlet Kitchen. The Shepherd Pie is to LIVE FOR!!!Grace our server was such a delight. She took amazing care of us. We will be back soon.

We had the New Years Eve “Prix Fixe” dinner. It was a four-course meal, with several options to choose for each course. The food was excellent, although I felt that the portions could have been a bit smaller, as I was starting to feel uncomfortably full before the dessert arrived. The service was excellent, and I was impressed at how well the entire staff kept to Covid protocols, wearing masks, etc. Our server, Bree, was exceptional.
