Scape American Bistro Ratings and Reviews
The food was delicious and service excellent. I'm vegetarian and had the spinach and goat cheese omlette (with egg whites). My friends had various other brunch items and everyone enjoyed their food. Our waitress was attentive and the food came out quickly. The ambiance was lovely and the prices were reasonable.
My wife had the special which was fish (I can’t remember which kind) and scallops. It was ok. She liked the scallops but the flavors of the dish were not great and overpowered the seafood. (Vinegary and peppery was how she described it)
I had the pork porterhouse coooked medium. Served atop cheese grits. The flavor of minw was quite good but the pork was tough and over cooked.
I also ordered the fried doughnuts with coffee ice cream for desert which was the best thing that I had that night.
Service was great and our waitress was cheerful and attentive.
Casey is probably one of the best, most reasonable managers I’ve met. She is custom to each table she visits. Our waiter was terrific, explaining the chef menu and making great recommendations. Excellent food and service all around. Scape did not disappoint.
We were a party of 7 from multiple cities and Scape did an excellent job making everyone feel at home. Menu is excellent and enough variation to satisfy a range of tastes. Cocktails are excellent and service is attentive without being too present. Great option!!!
The outside garden is lovely and relaxed while the inside is more formal. My husband is usually more interested in the wine list but was very, very impressed with scallops dish. In fact he is still talking about it. Our server, Carly, was attentive without being intrusive and made excellent suggestions. The staff moved tables so we could sit outside after first being seated inside. So accommodating! Wish we in town more often as we would become regulars.
We are considering Scape as a venue for an upcoming rehearsal dinner. We found the overall experience delightful. I was surprised to find there are several private rooms that can accommodate a private party. Our server did an excellent job taking care of our needs.
The food was very good and the service was attentive with the acception of a few timing issues: The drinks from the bar lagged behind a bit too long, and though the entrees were very good, the delivery could have been timed better so all entrees arrived at the table at once for a better presentation. Overall, very good and we would go back.
Loved our dinner! Macadamia chicken is wonderful. Salmon was delicious salad great and nana cream pie soooooo divine. Only complaint was shrimp and grits were dry and not hot enough. Loved our waiter Kobie. Very attentive, knowledgeable and accommodating! We'll go back soon!
Service was awful...almost 4 hours for dinner. Our waitress didn't take our dinner order for at least 45 minutes after apps were done?! Then dropped the check before offering desert. Ran out of drinks and had to go to the bar. Patio is nice but the busted speaker above our table needs to be fixed. Food was avaerage.
We went for brunch, and the waitperson knew that it was my friend's birthday, but absolutely nothing was done about it, so why did Open Table even ask? No offer of a free drink or a free dessert or even a balloon! I don't see the reason for asking if it's a special occasion if nothing is going to be done about it.
The patio was nice and the food was good but not the best brunch I've ever had.
