   This was a home run from the moment I opened the door. This was our first visit and we were greeted warmly. The restaurant and bar were at capacity on a Monday night and after getting a taste of the food, I know why. You could throw a dart at the menu and be winning. We were pretty hungry when we arrived. We ordered 2 appetizers to start and in lieu of a salad, split the lemon ravioli. I’m pretty sure that it will be illegal before long it was so good. I almost almost asked to change my entree for more but my girlfriend promised we will return soon enough. It was Veal Scallopini and Halibut that was so good we wanted each other to have a bite to share what we had chosen for ourselves. We capped it off with a scoop of sorbet and a coffee and feel incredibly fortunate that this place is in our backyard. 10/10

   We've been enjoying Scala Osteria since it first opened in downtown Napa. Today, Mother's Day, I had the best thing I've ever eaten and that's saying alot since I'm over 80. It sounds so simple but it was divine: grilled scallops on a bed of creamed corn. Somehow the sweetness of the corn mixed with the saltiness of the scallops with added spice was just perfect. I wanted to lick the plate but I was in public. Not only that but the hostess noticed I was coolly uncomfortable so she checked on me and then lowered the AC and again, perfect. I ate way too much but it was all so wonderful I couldn't stop. Perhaps no food for a few days will cure what ails me! Thank you Scala Osteria for a glorious meal and a picture-perfect Mother's Day.

   Our waitress and support staff was excellent. The food was delicious, fresh and perfect temperature. The atmosphere was busy, but fine; however the music was a bit too loud. The only thing we didn't like, was the check in process, the desk is in a small entry way, so clients and wait staff where trying to come in and out while we were checking in, it was a mess. Relocate the host/hostess station. Otherwise would definitely recommend!

   Great experience as first timers at Scala Osteria! The ambiance and vibe of the restaurant is upbeat and welcoming. Beautiful space that feels clean and new but still warm and not sterile at all. Well staffed with employees (front of house, servers, bartenders, runners, chefs, etc.) and a very knowledgeable wait staff. Strongly recommend the Mai Tai (the "Mama Mia Mai Tai) for a cocktail as it's delicious and refreshing and the foam on top is insanely good. The best thing we ate was the Pork Chop Milanese. It is an absolute MUST try! It's huge and filling and so crisp and flavorful and the sauce is truly wonderful. This feels like the signature dish of the place and if you try if you'll know why! Would go back for those two items again any time.

   This was our second visit to Scala. It definitely will not be our last. Everything was perfect! The food was excellent and our server was amazing!

    I have been coming to this restaurant for 3 years. I was very upset when the front desk check in asked my major customer from Sausalito not to join me at the bar for a drink before we were seated. I’ve never been treated this way until last night. Just ridiculous considering how much money and how many customers I’ve brought to this restaurant. Watch out for the front check in area!! Horrible service and lack of loyalty. Thank you, John
