   The bread with the clams was very salty. A little less salt and a few more pieces to soak up the sauce would have been perfect. Service was fantastic and attentive. Lasagna was fabulous and the clams were great. Our server recommended starting with the meat dish we ordered to serve the seafood together at the end. I honestly wish he didn’t do this, but it worked out fine.

   The food and ambiance was great! Amazing waiter, the fettuccine primavera was to die for- get it! And the panna cotta was impeccable!

   This was truly an amazing dinner! The food was just incredible starting with the house made bread with bagna cauda dip. Can’t wait to go back!

   Like many busy restaurants, our two person table was not ideal. You’re seated in a row down the middle of the restaurant with patrons and waitstaff zooming by you. Suggest eating at the bar or insist on a table backing to the wall. The octopus in the salad was good; the rest could use some work. The beet salad was excellent with big chucks of red and yellow beets. The bread and olive oil spread was terrific. The halibut was very good but not much accompanied it. The fettuccine primavera was good. The noodles were buttery but could have been more flavorful. For Napa, the wine list would benefit from more choices. Scala is worth a go. Just recognize it’s busy (service is a little slow), noisy, and avoid the tables in the middle of the restaurant.

   We live near Healdsburg , which has a treasure trove of great restaurants but we have no problem hopping over to Napa for a great meal and Scala was worth the trip. Meatballs with polenta were outstanding, Ceasar Salad fresh and delicious, Petrale Sole, exceptional and my wife had a ravioli special that was unique and wonderful. Italian donuts , decadent. Service was attentive. We will be back.

   Our meal was absolutely delicious! A big shout out to the warm donuts with cream and chocolate sauce.
