Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar - Vaughan Ratings and Reviews
Everything was very nice. Great service and the Diavolo pizza was incredibly delicious. Wine was $5 a glass which is, always a plus. Only complaint is the table water was disgusting. It tasted horrible, like it came from a rusty old tap. Maybe an incentive to purchase bottled water? Other than that it was great. Oh and the French fries - wow.
I was very disappointed I suggested this restaurant to my friend because I had been before and the food was amazing but at the Vaughan location the zucchini appetizer was very greasy my dinner was great but my friends had seafood pasta- the pasta was all clumped together 5 of the mussels did not open and the ones that did were not great - the coffee and cappacinno were cold - the manager agreed and did not charge her for her dinner but o felt bad for suggesting the restaurant
Service was great
The food was a little bland
Ordered a Sophia pizza ,tasted a little bland and in the centre the dough was a little undercooked ,or to thin ,when you cut it and went to pick it up ,would fall apart
We preferred the few appetizer over the Entees
Amazing spot to go to! Great service, a little slow but nonetheless amazing. The food was very different and super nice! Our waiter was extremely friendly. The food was a little different to what we're normally used to and if you are someone who is into authenticity with a twist, this place is amazing for that.
The food at Scaddabush never disappoints. This was our first visit to the Vaughan location and everyone in our party of 6 was thrilled with the food. Service was friendly, as usual. The only complaint would be the volume of the music as it made conversation more challenging.
This chain Italian restaurant replaced the former chain Italian tenant. I felt this wasn't an improvement. I gave two stars only for them making fresh pasta. But my pasta dish had too many ingredients. It was more like a jambalaya, but not a mix of anything that complimented the other ingredients. Garlic bread was greasy. Friendly staff, but slow arrival of meals. Was busy.
We were pleasantly surprised. We were expecting to order a burger or pizza because we usually don't order "Italian" at chain restaurants. However, we looked around to see what other people were enjoying and noticed a couple of people ordering the pasta with seafood (shrimp scallops squid mussels). I and my friend each ordered the small size and raved about it. No skimping on the seafood and the portions were impressive for the "small" $16. Neither of us could finish and took doggy bags. Hubby had the pepperoni pizza and couldn't finish it. Lots of pepperoni almost too much. His buddy ordered the small chicken and hot pepper pasta and finished every bite. Overall, the food was very flavourful and about as authentic as you can get being a franchise. The calamari appetizer was one of the best. Not those frozen rings you get at a lot of places. The only criticism I have is the noise level. Too loud. Maybe because there were lots of diners but then they should turn down the music. This place fits well in a community that's largely Italian. Prices were quite affordable. And our servers were fabulous. We will be back ... soon.
I understand the restaurant just opened up in Vaughan just a week or two ago but for a Sunday afternoon is was quite dead yet it took forever for our server to attended to is right off the back. As a Scaddabush lover been to 4 others around the city now, that was not normal. Finally when we were asked if we would like water or drinks it was some passing by server who thought they ask before they tracked down our server.
Finally when we went to order I specifically request the stuffed meatball twice and accompanied with the polenta tots. When my food came out there was no consistency of what it look like from previous restaurants that I had been to. First off the meatball is not stuffed second off my tots that normally come with a marinara sauce were plain. I'll leave honest I'm a huge believer not sending food back because I'm always scared from all of these things do you hear about what kitchen staff do not that I'm saying these guys were. But eventually will my server did come around I was able to tell him that many bowls and stuff it and he went and got me and you are at which point I had already finished my meal and was stuffed. The server was kind enough to remove my entire meal less the tots from the bill, which was appreciated as we had purchased a bottle of wine.
I think for the future I'm gonna give it some time before I go back to the Vaughan Scaddabush location.
