Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar - Vaughan Ratings and Reviews
Enjoyed our meal thoroughly. Our serving staff was very attentive and made very good suggestions. The only complaint was that I ordered the prosciuto mozzarella appetizer and only rec'd 2 pieces of prosciuto although very long and delicious expected more for the price.
This is the 3rd Scaddabush facility I have been to. Even with a reservation and a reconfirmation I had to wait for the table to be prepared. The food was great. Bar service was a disaster as was coffee service. Server was not up to standard. Too many delays with our orders.
This was my third time at Scadddabush Vaughn, although the first for lunch. Lunch was delicious and the service was good. The place looked impeccable and the decor is very inviting. It's a very different feel at lunch time than dinner time. Very quiet and a much more relaxed vibe at lunch time. Dinner is much more upbeat. Both vibes are great, it just depends on what you're looking for at the time.
I would most definitely recommend this place to friends and family. I like the open kitchen and being able to see how some of the food is prepared.
Food was great as usual, but service was horrible. I made reservations for two, and got seated in the lounge/bar area (which is fine), but our waiter was behind also behind the bar and completely forgot about us. The food came in a timely manner, but when we were looking for some ground pepper it literally took them until we were halfway done our dish to come around with it.
I must say, I really enjoy scaddabush, but this is the 2nd time I’ve gotten bad service at this location (and there really is no excuse because the place was really quite empty). Maybe better luck next time.
My only concern was I was not discounted for charity bread when ordered a pasta meal as indicated on menu when it was also ordered as appetizer.
The food and service was good.
The music was right volume without being too loud and enough to hear a conversation.
Food was awful. I only went there for the fresh mozzarella and they were sold out. I had calamari which was standard barely finishing it i had the meatball which being Italian was awful and then my salad I had a goat cheese and beat salad which someone who didn't even know how to cook could had made better it was sultry drenched in vinegar. This place if basically an Italian pub except when comparing it to a jack actors or shirtless handlebar go there get the calamari pastas etc and actual enjoy the money you spend for restaurant food.
This is my first time to the restaurant. Perhaps it was an off night (as the place was super busy) but my salad had very little flavour and chicken Parmesan was really tough on one side. I should have sent it back but I needed to be someplace following and was pressed for time. Had to remind waiter to bring water for the tea bag he brought to table, after waiting 15-20 min. My friends salad was disappointing too as she did not finish it. As I was leaving I was thinking why are all these people lined up to get in. So perhaps I had just ordered wrong thing on menu. Not sure I’d go back or recommend based on my experience.
Not a bad place ambiance wise, as well as the food. Keep in mind though if you have any sort of intolerances or allergies be prepared to basically battle with the wait staff to have your needs accommodated. Myself and another person at our table have food allergies and our server told us there were no substitutions, then drilled us with questions until finally a manager had to take our order and find us something on the very limited menu we could eat. She clearly hated her job and it reflected in her manners toward us, she was snippy, rude, and just plain miserable.
The food was nothing to write home about either. Our portion sizes were tiny even the "sharable" plates, for what they charge you'd expect to have a full dish not 1/3. Not to mention my husband's salad was way overdressed and the vinegar drenched his steak so he couldn't even enjoy it.
Their menu is pretty basic with apps, entrées, etc. However, they only have their "signature dishes" available to choose from which again, if you have any food allergies or intolerances you're screwed. Not to mention there are no options for kids, and no way of having your basic Fettuccini Alfredo or penne alla vodka, nevermind looking for spaghetti carbonara because you won't find it on this menu.
Definitely will not be going back here and I regret going in the first place.
Disappointed in the food quality, myself and three other guest got sick from this resturant. Food was aweful and not worth the money. Very very loud music could barely hear my own thoughts. I took a sip of water and got a mouth full of cleaning solution.. legit cleaning solution, no apology. Very upset will never go back.
Our waitress was friendly and did her best to fill our order. She charged us for ginger ale, but we never received ginger ale... she forgot to bring it out, I didn't notice until I looked at the bill at home. We were celebrating my husband's birthday. I asked her if she could bring out the special dessert secretly and surprise him. She did not... She basically told him he was getting a free cake, which, in my opinion spoiled the surprise and was a bit rude. We won't be dining there again. This location was below my expectations.
Oh! I thought I should mention, on the table she wrote the name of the cheese maker and not her name... Thought this was strange. Would have appreciated if she noted her name down. I don't care to know the cheese makers name.
Everything was very nice. Great service and the Diavolo pizza was incredibly delicious. Wine was $5 a glass which is, always a plus. Only complaint is the table water was disgusting. It tasted horrible, like it came from a rusty old tap. Maybe an incentive to purchase bottled water? Other than that it was great. Oh and the French fries - wow.
I was very disappointed I suggested this restaurant to my friend because I had been before and the food was amazing but at the Vaughan location the zucchini appetizer was very greasy my dinner was great but my friends had seafood pasta- the pasta was all clumped together 5 of the mussels did not open and the ones that did were not great - the coffee and cappacinno were cold - the manager agreed and did not charge her for her dinner but o felt bad for suggesting the restaurant
Service was great
The food was a little bland
Ordered a Sophia pizza ,tasted a little bland and in the centre the dough was a little undercooked ,or to thin ,when you cut it and went to pick it up ,would fall apart
We preferred the few appetizer over the Entees
