Why write the name of the person making the “fresh mozzarella” when you can’t even order it before 5pm???
This was our first time here, we were seated right away. The waitress was friendly and showed us a couple of dishes that she recommended. However, when it came time to take the order, I repeated my order 3 times and she kept saying the system was down and she had to write the order down. The food arrived and it was just warm, the waitress got my order wrong and it was sent back, while my party was eating, I was waiting for my food to be prepared. The sad part was that I was not even offered a salad so that at least I could be eating at the same as my party, finally my food arrived and my party had finished theirs, not a great experience to be only one eating while everyone had finished. At the end of the meal, I asked for the bill and the waitress was surprised that we wanting to leave without dessert. At this time she had the opportunity to turn around our experience here, by either offering a slice of cake or to offer a discount on the bill, which neither happened.
Although the main server was trying hard, a different person brought over the wine, but I ordered Shiraz and he brought a white - then said the server probably incorrectly punched it in, rather than just saying sorry. He did not come back with the right one. When the main server finally returned and I asked about the wine she told me my chosen wine was sold out. I asked for bubbly water instead and she said that they don’t have that either. When ordering our food she said the signature meatballs were sold out - but then said maybe they will be ready soon (?! So not sold out?!) and had to go check. When she returned she said the meatballs were ready we could order them. She couldn’t recommend any of the dishes we asked about because she’s a vegetarian- but only told us after we asked something specific about the meat. Not a big deal but say you’ve never had it up front! We had ordered a fresh mozzarella as an appetizer and much to our dismay, it arrived with our entrees. When we asked the server why (yet again someone else) he said that’s just how it is. And he said he could take back the entrees but they will get cold. Two of us has the same signature meatball spaghetti entrees- but when served they looked completely different (one had chopped tomatoes and visably more sauce). Both dishes also contained other “random” pieces of pasta inside. Taste was ok - but did not appear to be made from scratch pasta.
Overall we were disappointed with our dining experience - especially for the cost per dish. I would not go out of my way to return here.
I came for a late lunch/early dinner for my birthday! The server was awesome, kept up with us and all of our requests! One of the greatest experiences there to date. And each experience has always gone above and beyond. I love the sherway location. All employees really stand out, have great personalities and make a great team! Shout out to the manager for collecting a great time and thriving in your first few months of business. May these be the perfect stepping stones to outstanding service for years to come!! See you soon xo
The service was ok but not over the top.
Pasta was just ok. Tasted old.
Calamari not recommended at all.
This was the second time we have been. First time we ate at the bar. I had a different meal than this time and enjoyed it much better.
I won’t necessarily rush back to scaddabush
Decor is fun in the same way as jack astors, fazooli etc (same owners, same mediocre food). Portions are grotesquely large. I ordered one of the specials (skillet pasta) and it lacked any kind of recognizable flavors although there was a generous amount of chicken. Caesar salad was good. Our waitress was sooooo friendly which is appreciated but the number of her interruptions to see “How are WE doing” exceeded anything reasonable. I loathe the presumptuous and condescending phrase “How are WE doing”.. you don’t know WE and you aren’t dining with us! I like the concept of the very long communal table, presumably for individual diners to join and socialize. Also $30 for one lunch seems high without wine, beer or coffee.
The food was very low quality. We ordered four meals and each one had pasta which had clearly sat under a heat lamp and was dried out. It seemed like pasta you can make yourself at home, the spaghetti was all stuck together, carbonara was really salty and the meatball was dry and bland. The mozzarella was cold and not flavourful. It was an all around disappointing meal, I suggest going to the location at Square One, it's much much better.
Food isn’t that great at this location. My pizza was chew (dough was under cooked) Caesar salad was soggy and heavier on dressing making it very garlicky. Otherwise all good. Drinks were good and service was good for a midrange chain restaurant.
Disappointed with the food. We were a party of four and each of our dishes lacked flavour. Meals were boring. Don’t think we will return due to the average food. Many other restaurants in the area with more interesting and flavourful food at the same price point
Waitress was nice but the food order was incorrect so we had to wait for some of the meal
Great food and service as always. Sherway location is off to a great start! Can't wait to watch this location blossom.
Service was fabulous! There were 6 of us and only one meal was not great . We didn’t get a meal check to see if everything was ok All the servers seem to help so it was probably a case of someone else checked . All the rest was awesome !
It was really nice the server and just about everything was good from start to finish the food was just alright but otherwise was a good overall experience
Similar to other scaddabush locations, great ambiance and scenery. Great sangria's!
Soup was small, lukewarm and overpriced. Fresh mozzarella was good.
Food was good and service was great. Even though it was Family day and the restaurant was busy, we had good service.
The food was okay. Our initial server Jai-Lynn (?) was not great but her replacement (after she had left) was lovely and made up for it! The ambiance was nice.
We had reservations but were still kept waiting with little explanation. Throughout our meal there were tables empty so it wasn't because of the number of diners.
It was extremely noisy making conversation difficult.
The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Our meals came quickly and were hot. My dish did not meet my expectations for flavour (penne bolognese) but others at the table enjoyed their meals quite well. At the end of our meal I felt rushed to pay the bill even though, as I mentioned there were empty tables around us.
Had a great time celebrating a family event at Scaddabush. The food was delicious, restaurant was clean and well decorated and the staff were beyond professional. We will definitely return again soon
The service was terrible. We were seated almost 10 min before our server came by. We had eaten our appetizers before our drinks ever arrived. The bottles of water we ordered never came, neither did requests for olive oil. We were done our meal before the second round of drinks came...they were ordered before our entrees were delivered to the table. One entree was late being delivered, as in everyone else had almost finished eating before the last plate arrived. No apology, just I don't deliver the food/drinks. Food was ok, nothing spectacular. The only thing really enjoyable was the cheesecake. Def wouldn't return.
My husband and I had a date night on Valentines Day. It was our first time at this restaurant, what a lovely meal and night we had. Service was spectacular. Special price fixe menu offered and was absolutely the bomb. Delicious. It was a busy night because it being Valentines night but we never felt ignored. Definitely will be back. Highly recommended to family and friends.
Everything was perfect! Only thing I could mention is that I felt the Bellinis were a bit off from what I had previous times at scaddabush. Other than that - perfect
Valentine dinner! Food was terrible. Pepperoni pizza ridiculous with 52 pieces of pepperoni - makes it very salty even if u take most of it off! Steak was tough with grizzle. Mozzarella appetizer was good as was the cheese cake. The service (Ryan) was excellent and the manager came over and took the steak off our bill. Very concerned.
Food was awesome, especially the truffle and balsamic mozzarella!
Very nice restaurant and very friendly cozy beautiful food was there for Birthday
Everything was perfect. Alex also took care of us and he was great.
My 3 sisters, mom and I celebrated a birthday lunch on a busy Saturday. Service was good as was the food. We lingered afterwards with no pressure to leave. We all enjoyed the experience and would love to come back to try the fresh mozzarella.
Location is perfect, our server was ok but we found the food very salty.
Great vibe. Nice warm lighting not dark.
Strikes that delicate balance of relaxed but not overly casual.
We enjoyed our lunch. The food was quite good but the French fries were not hot and we had to ask for a hot batch. We sat at a high top table which wasn't very comfortable, but the booths were all full. We would come back again but ask for a booth next time.
This is a fairly new location and was my first time there. The service was exceptional from her waitress the servers who assisted her delivering the food we’re a little disorganized and confused and we ended up not receiving bread that we had ordered. When we brought it to our waitress attention she was very apologetic went to get the bread and gave us a couple complementary coupons for our next visit.
My friend ordered a large caprese salad with a shrimp add on. The salad was very small and not worth the $23.95 I paid for it. Very poor value for the money. My white wine was room temperature and not at all chilled. We were seated under a large heating vent that made us very uncomfortable. We will not be returning back to this restaurant or any of the other locations either. Terrible experience.
Lots to improve upon from when we arrived and checked in with the hostesses who were rude to the poor table service and food quality. Wish it was still Canyon Creek. They understood service and F&B.
I’ve been to Scadabush Square One before, but this was SOOO much better from a wheelchair accessibility point of view!
There wasn't much of a variety on the menu. Kids pasta and fettuccine was on the hard side. Caprese salad was pretty good. Mule was delicious, as was the cheesecake.
My husband and I went out for our date night and truly enjoyed ourselves. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. The service was top notch. We will certainly be back.
My husband and I enjoyed our dining experience. The food and service were
Great Italian food that tastes home made. so tasty and really good portions. you need to try this place at least once to convince yourself it is worth a repeat or two.
Was not overly impressed with the app. We were given rave reviews from the server about the cheese balls, however were disappointed with them. besides that our actual meals were great!
the food is well prepared and very well seasoned...the salads are large but interesting. You get good value and the italian choices are great. Try the meatball as an appetiser.
