Nice atmosphere, Food wasn’t great
(We had pesto pasta, tomato soup, salad
Spaghetti & meatballs and a couple of appetizers. Taste was less than average)
I have been to several Scaddabush locations and this has been the worst experience dining. We arrived at 5:30pm, ordered an appetizer of fries and placed our 3 dinner meal orders which were all the same: chicken bacon avocado sandwich with salad. It was 6:30pm and we still didn't have our meal. Everyone around us who ordered way after us was getting their food. We asked a few servers for an update and it finally came afterwards. It was clear they had forgotten it. The chicken was not cooked thoroughly on two of our meals. No manager came to acknowledge the delay and we even mentioned the food was just ok especially considering we've been waiting for over an hour. It was absolutely disgusting of an experience and unacceptable! The 3 of us were celebrating my 2 friends who announced they are now pregnant. A great celebration turned into a very bad atmosphere. I expect a gift card to Scaddabush or another affiliate for $100 to replace what we paid for these meals. My friends deserve a better experience for their baby news announcement.
It was our first time being there and overall it was pretty good! The mains we ordered were lacking in flavor. But we will give it another go and try something different the next time because we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was really good!
gnocchi was a bit rubbery but roast chicken was excellent. fondue was excellent but we kept running out or bread. choc bombe was very nice but could use slightly less cake to make it less heavy dessert. miss the evo/balsamic with bread....but like the improved hand grated reggiano
After letting the hostess know of the importance of my meeting, she was able to seat us in a semi private area....it was most appreciated!
I would love to return for a more social evening, given what’s I saw on the menu.
Great service from our waiter!
Very enjoyable evening. Food was good and our server was great.
The food is very good, but unfortunately our waiter was completely inattentive.
Had notified about it being a Birthday but wasn’t mentioned by any of the staff. Had requested a booth but were led to a table. Alice Fazooli’s was great, not so much now.
It was a great atmosphere. We had wonderful service and exceptional food.
Went for the 4 appetizer and pitcher deal with my wife. Fantastic deal for $50 so much food we had to box it up and it was dinner the next night as well. The service and atmosphere are both wonderful. Try the fresh mozerella.
Glenn was a great server and treated us so nicely! Loved the deal we did the $50 for sangria and 4 apps! Love the food as always!
This was our third visit to Scaddabush. Our food was delicious. Our server, Liz, was very attentive and checked regularly to make sure everything was okay. The only complaint would be that the music was too loud which made it difficult to have a quiet conversation. Otherwise, everything was great!
Had been meaning to go to Scaddabush for quite some time after hearing many friends and family reviews. We finally went to celebrate my birthday on Family Day and while they had a busy day and were out of many things, the food was delicious and our server was great and friendly after what must have been an exhausting day for him.
Will definitely go back and try some other dishes on the scrumptious menu!
Cheesecake was amazing!
Scaddabush is always our first choice when dining out but we’re disappointed that what we wanted to order wasn’t available
We ordered the mozzarella ball with prosciutto but when it came there were only 2 authentic toasted pieces of bread and 4 small make-shift pieces that were barely toasted, and the waiter had asked the kitchen in advance if there was enough bread Expensive appetizer so ate the bread anyway but not enjoyable
Also my husband was all set to order the spaghetti and meatball to be told there wasn’t any left
Somewhat disappointing evening
The meal was good. Even when they had to redo my pizza they gave us some bread to help pass the time. It was a good place for our Family Day lunch out.
I usually go to the Square One Scaddabush location and this was my first time trying the Oakville location. We made note that we were celebrating a birthday in our reservation but had to remind several staff during the night... We also weren't seated promptly upon arrival even though we got there at our scheduled reservation time, people who came in the door after us were actually seated before we were. The sangria we wanted to have to celebrate was "finished for the night" we were told, which was a let down. We had incorrect appetizers delivered to our table and when our alcoholic drinks were brought to the table they were spilled on the table and into one of the other guests water.... We weren't offered a replacement drink. Overall, I will stick to the Square One location because I have never had any issues there. Although the Oakville one is closer to home, its worth the drive for the superior service in Mississauga.
Good location (Oakville) , good selection of food, except Pizza was not up to mark and less testy. We celebrated our wedding anniversary with our kids. It was a good family time and money well spent.
The fresh made pasta was delicious and portions were very generous.
We both had a great time! Enjoyed the food, our waiter was very respectful and the ambiance was nice
Love Scaddabush! Did t love our server this time.
Disappointed waited at our table for 30 minutes before anyone came over to say hi take a drink order . Seemed no one new who was to serve that table. Booked as a Birthday celebration and they missed that too.
This was our first time. We were asked by our server if this was our first time; however nothing really came of it. You would think a thorough breakdown of the menu or items they’re known for would be presented or mentioned, without asking. I also believe if a manager is on the floor and walks by tables 5 plus times, they should engage the tables in terms of finding out how their overall experience was. We also sat with empty plates that we pushed to the end of the table, and on many occasions, again, the same manager just walked by with tunnel vision. Our server was okay.... however I believe service reflects the management. We would return b/c the food was great, but not to this location. We will definitely try another location and hope the management and service is more engaged.
Scaddabush is my probably my favourite restaurant. They make their pasta and mozzarella in house and they have a great selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks. I've never left Scaddabush feeling disappointed. I'm a vegetarian and there's a lot to choose from on the menu. It was a great place to bring a child too. The manager came around a few times to check in on us to make sure we were having a good time too. Kudos to whoever designed the Valentine's Day special - it was delicious!
Great service amazing employees and of course great food especially coming from someone who's Italian:) 👍
One of our guests asked to have their left over meal put in a container to take home but it was never brought to the table. Another guest ordered a tea after the meal but it was not brought to the table until the guest went back and asked for it again and then the guest brought it to our table.
Loved the pizza and the scissors for cutting were amazing! Fabby fabby fabby!
No doubt the service was outstanding. But Three out four entree (steak, burger and Sophia pizza) were dry and missing the flavour.
FOOD WAS MEDIOCRE, THE MOZZARELLA CHEESE PLATTER WITH PROSCIUTTO WAS VERY GOOD, OTHER THAN THAT THE SALAD WAS NOT FRESH, PASTA WAS WAY OVER COOKED AND CHICKEN IN THE CHICKEN PARMESAN WAS DEEP FRIED SO LONG IT WAS TASTING BURNT AND COULD BARELY CUT INTO IT, CALAMARI APP WAS DRIPPING WITH GREASE
SERVICE WAS MEDIOCRE, SERVER SELDOM CAME TO TABLE, WAITED NEARLY 10 MINS TO ASK FOR BILL.
A night out with the family. Good always tasty, service could be a bit better.
THE SERVICE WAS FANTASTIC AND THE FOOD WAS GREAT....WE WILL BE BACK
Everything was great except the girl had an awful time redeeming our gift card. Kind of makes me not excited to buy the gift cards with the promo you guys run because seems like every time i have one they don't know how to ring it through.
But food was great. I suggest teaching everyone how to ring gift cards through again haha
The waitress was amazing and we enjoyed the time spent at the restaurant. I had the Baked Penne Carbonara and my girlfriend had the Margherita pizza. The Penne Carbonara was just okay, it wasn't fabulous. I think, for the price paid, perhaps some sort of bread or small salad could have been incorporated into the offering.
We have been to Scaddabush a few times now. the staff are very friendly and accommodating. the food is great and we like the feel of the restaurant. we were there this time for my Mother In Law's 92 birthday. She loved it!
The food was excellent. Two people shared a Tuscan salad and the Mario pizza. They brought the salad in 2 bowls, which we appreciated. The thin crust pizza was delicious. We then had 2 coffees and shared the cheesecake. The waiter was personable and very helpful. We will definitely return.
The menu has not changed that much since being Alice Fazoolis but this is okay as we had many favorites on the old menu. It is easy to mix and match by ordering a green salad and adding your choice of protein and this also keeps the cost in check. I had the Pesto Pollo Fetticini and really enjoyed it. A friend had the Bolognese and found it bland and a bit chewy.
Our server, Farah, was excellent and very attentive.
Given the price point of the menu, the food was average or below. Nothing truly awful, and the dessert was truly excellent (panatone bread pudding). However the pasta was underdone, which is a real achievement if they are using freshly made product. The sauces were ordinary; again, nothing bad but really quite plain with little inspiration.
Service staff were attentive yet not hovering around our table. Prompt and courteous, and they knew the food when asked about specific items. It was our server who said she enjoyed the dessert, which prompted the decision to try it in spite of the ho-hum main course.
Overall a fair experience and frankly a disappointment; will not be returning. We agreed that East Side Mario's provided better value for very similar fare.
Service was great, food was mediocre although my 13 year old loved it. Your prosciutto grilled cheese was a grilled ham and cheese (there’s a difference), and the bolognese was just ok.
Although we really enjoy the food, we find it overpriced. As a result, we do not frequent it as often as we would like.
My wife and i came for the Pasta/Spaghetti special last week, very dissapointed that only 2 of the 11 items on the pasta menu were part of the special.(Spaghetti Day).My Spaghetti and meatballs was ok but the portion sizes were all screwed up,i had to order a group size meal in order to get a large portion. The ambiance was fine and the service was good, but the 2/11 pasta items was a joke.Spaghetti and meatballs or a seafood spaghetti dish or nothing else,a little misleading since the meal was almost $60 with no alcohol.Overall very dissapointed.
